Fuse inside
Safety is compromised if instructions are not read, understood, and followed.
WARNING Never exceed the maximum interrupt current of the fuse. The fuse protects
the equipment against short-circuit but not against over-currents.
WARNING Before use check fuse for continuity and good condition.
WARNING Install only speci ed fuse, or equivalent, sizing fuse to the required short
circuit current.
Never open fuse adapter while connected or energized.
Disconnect from all devices and leads before replacing fuse.
Fuse adapter should be as close to the power source as possible.
Clean fuse adapter with cloth lightly moistened with water only. Dry thoroughly before
use.
Do not use if any part is damaged. All maintenance should be referred to quali ed
service personnel only.
Do not use in wet or explosive atmosphere.
Description
The CT4140A is an Inline fuse adapter with 4 mm sheathed plug to 4 mm sheathed
jack connections.

• 6.3 x 32 mm, 0.5A, 1000 V, 50 kA, p/n CT4049-0.5A
• 6.3 x 32 mm, 1.0A, 1000 V, 50 kA, p/n CT4049-1.0A
• 6.3 x 32 mm, 1.5A, 1000 V, 50 kA, p/n CT4049-1.5A
• 6.3 x 32 mm, 2.0A, 1000 V, 50 kA, p/n CT4049-2.0A

• Voltage Rating: 1000 V CAT IV, reinforced insulation, pollution degree 2
• Current Rating: See rating on the fuse
• Operating temperature: 5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F) and max RH 80%, up to
31°C decreasing linearly to 50% RH at 40 °C; altitude up to 2000 m.
• Storage temperature: -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F)

Fuse Replacement
• Disconnect from all devices and
test leads
• Unscrew fuse adapter body
by turning banana plug half
counterclockwise.
• Remove and replace fuse
• Screw adapter pieces together
ID Ring Placement
• Slide on desired ID ring color and
fit into groove
