MANUAL FOR USING BOSCH EDC17C59 BOOT ADAPTER FOR MAGPRO
Description:
It can be used for read pass and flash ECU Bosch EDC17C59 in boot mode. Switching mode of reading
the password and flash ECU.
No more solder and connect power cable, need connect only this adapter.
Specification:
- Supports MagPro2 X17 and T-boot programmer with switching mode for password reading
- 12V connector and cable for led lights
- Cable for connecting adapter to Breakbox v2 and Unlock Plugin
- For classic BDM frame - 6cm wide or for 4 cm frame
- Supports stable and precise connection - with 3 mm PCB there is no bending
- Supports stable and reliable connection with precise golden pogopins

Cable Overview
А–connect the cable to the Breakbox.
B –connect the cable to Unlock Plugin according to the colors of the wires.
C–connect the cable to the EDC17C59 Adapter.
D–connect the cable to the EDC17C59 Adapter for LED lightning.
E–connect the cable to the power adapter. You can use power adapter from MagPro (+12-14V).
Place the adapter into the BDM frame retaining bracket and tighten the screws. Connect the adapter to
the MagPro tool using the supplied cable.
If lighting is required you can connect a 12V power supply to the jack on the adapter (this only powers
the LEDs and not the ECU). It is possible to use MagPro power supply to power LEDs temporarily whilst
aligning, once aligned you can return the power supply back into the flash tool.
Move the retainer carefully towards the ECU and ensure that all pins are in their designated position. A
detailed photo showing the location of the connections can be found further.
You can use nippers for fast installation of pins.
Password reading
For password reading switch adapter into PASS mode. Before switching the mode turn ECU power off.
Choose TPROT 12 PASS in MagPro SW and press GET PASSWORD. This function is available online and
with active subscription only. After reading password you can save it on your PC.
ECU programming
For ECU programming switch adapter into BOOT mode. Before switching the mode turn ECU power off.
You need to unlock ECU after identification in BOOT mode. Afterwards you can make reading and
writing. After each disconnection of ECU you need to unlock it again.
We test each adapter on real ECU before sending.
