Batteries may leak or explode if improperly handled.
Observe the following precautions when handling
batteries for use in this product:

• Useonlythe15AU/LR6/SizeAA/1.5Valkalinebatteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of
dierentmakesortypes.
• Insertbatteriesinthecorrectorientation.
• Donotshortordisassemblebatteriesorattemptto
remove or break the covering.
•Donotexposebatteriestoameortoexcessiveheat.
• Donotimmerseinorexposetowater.
• Donottransportorstorewithmetalobjectssuchas
necklaces or hairpins.
• Discontinueuseimmediatelyshouldyounoticeany
change in the batteries, such as discoloration or
deformation.
•Ifliquidfromdamagedbatteriescomesincontactwith
clothing or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

cables provided to maintain compliance with product
regulations.
Observe caution when handling batteries

from the camera, remove the batteries immediately,
taking care to avoid burns. Continued operation could
resultininjury.Afterremovingthebatteries,takethe

for inspection.

injury.Repairsshouldbeperformedonlybyqualied
technicians.Shoudthecamerabreakopenastheresult
of a fall or other accident, take the product to a Carbon-
authorizedservicerepresentativeforinspectionafter
unpluggingtheproductand/orremovingthebatteries.

Do not use the camera in the presence of

Never place the strap around the neck of an infant
or child.
Handle the camera strap with care
Particular care should be taken to prevent infants
from putting the batteries or other small parts into
their mouths.
