When us ng electr cal appl ances, bas c safety precaut ons

1. Carefully read these nstruct ons before us ng your
appl ance.
2. CAUTION keep out of reach of ch ldren. Th s
appl ance s not ntended for use by young ch ldren
or nf rm persons. Young ch ldren must be superv sed
to ensure that they do not play w th the appl ance.
3. VERY IMPORTANT do not mmerse n water or other
l qu ds or use near washbas ns or s nks. Ensure that
the appl ance does not get wet (water splashes etc.)
and do not use t w th wet hands.
4. Unplug from Ma ns outlet when appl ance s not n
use, before attach ng or remov ng accessor es, and
before clean ng.
5. An appl ance dropped or damaged should not be
used unt l exam ned by a serv ce eng neer.
6. Do not perm t the ma ns lead to come n contact w th
hot objects. If the supply cord s damaged, t must
be replaced by the manufacturer, or ts serv ce agent
or a s m larly qual f ed person n order to avo d a
hazard.
7. Use th s appl ance only for ts ntended use. Use
only genu ne attachments suppl ed by an author sed
Serv ce-Dealer.
8. The appl ance should not be used outdoors, placed
near a hot gas or electr cal burner or placed n a
heated oven.
9. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or
counter.
10. WARNING an appl ance should never be left
unattended when plugged n.
11. Th s appl ance s ntended for household use only and
not for commerc al or ndustr al use.
12. If appl ance s to be used by a th rd party, please
supply the nstruct on manual w th t.
13. No l ab l ty can be accepted for any damage caused
by non-compl ance w th these nstruct ons or any

14. WARNING do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven
gloves for remov ng food, oven pan, or touch ng any
hot parts.
15. WARNING always place the m n oven on a heat
res stant surface, as the body w ll reach h gh
temperatures. The temperature of the oven door or
the outer surface may be h gh dur ng operat on of
the oven.
16. WARNING to ensure adequate vent lat on, keep an
open space of approx mately 20 cm all around the
oven.
17. WARNING do not use the oven near flammable
mater als such as curta ns, walls or under cupboards.
Do not place any tem on top of the oven. Do not put
anyth ng flammable ns de the oven such as
cardboard or paper.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to serv ce th s appl ance yourself. Refer
serv c ng to qual f ed serv ce personnel. If the supply cord s
damaged, t must be replaced by the manufacturer, or ts
serv ce agent or a s m larly qual f ed person n order to
avo d a hazard.

EFORE FIRST USE
1. Your CASCADE M n Oven has left the factory n good
work ng order. Should the carton be damaged or the
product dropped, damaged or malfunct on n any
way, or f the flex ble cord s damaged, mmed ately
contact your reta ler for replacement or repa r.
2. Carefully unpack your CASCADE M n Oven. Make
sure you do not d scard any packag ng mater al unt l
all parts of the oven have been found.
3. Carefully w pe the exter or of the oven w th a damp
cloth to remove any dust that may have
accumulated. Dry w th a dry towel. Do not use
abras ve cleaners.
WARNING do not mmerse n water or any other
l qu ds.
4. Wash the accessor es, w re rack and pan, n hot
soapy water. Dry w th a dry towel.
5. The appl ance s now ready for operat on.
OPERATION
•Before us ng the appl ance for the f rst t me, or after
long per ods of storage, clean the appl ance thoroughly.
(See BEFORE FIRST USE.)
•Always place the oven on a flat, clean and non-sl ppery
surface before operat ng t.
•Always place the oven on a heat res stant surface as the
oven reaches h gh temperatures.
•WARNING always leave a gap of approx mately 20 cm
around the exter or of oven. Never use near curta ns,
walls, under cupboards or other flammable mater als.
•Place w re rack nto oven. T lt upwards sl ghtly, sl de nto
the two rack grooves at e ther s de of oven chamber and
push stra ght backwards nto oven. Ensure that the
automat c door hooks are n the correct pos t on to push
the w re rack towards the rear of the chamber.
•WARNING the oven crumb tray must be n place when
oven s n use. Damage to bench top may occur f the
crumb tray s not n place correctly.
•WARNING never operate the oven w th the door open
unless gr ll ng.
•WARNING. never place the pan or any other accessory,
d rectly onto the top of lower heat ng elements.
•Plug the power cord nto a su table ma ns outlet
correspond ng to the supply requ rements of your oven.

•Your CASCADE m n oven s now ready for use.
•NOTE The f rst t me you use your m n oven, there may
be a small amount of smoke and smell. Th s s normal.
It s due to a protect ve coat ng, placed on the heat ng
elements, to protect the heat ng elements dur ng
sh pp ng.
Toasting.
•Always remove the pan when toast ng.
•Place selected toast bread onto w re rack.
•Rotate the temperature d al clockw se to ‘Toast’ pos t on
•Choose your toast ng color level by rotat ng the t mer
clockw se to sl ghtly past the ‘dark’ sett ng and then
back to the des red l ght, med um or dark sett ng as
requ red.
•When the toast cycle has f n shed a bell w ll r ng and the
power w ll automat cally sw tch off.
•To stop the cycle at any t me, turn t mer d al ant
clockw se to the off pos t on.

•Sl de pan nto sl de ra ls under w re rack. NOTE Always
use the pan when bak ng. Pan w ll catch any dr pp ngs.
•Place selected food on w re rack.
•Rotate the temperature d al clockw se to the des red
temperature.
•Rotate the t mer d al clockw se to the des red cook ng
t me.
•For longer cook ng t me, rotate the t mer d al clockw se
to ‘OVEN ON’ sett ng. The cook ng t me w ll rema n on
unt l the t mer s manually turned to the ‘off’ pos t on.
WARNING carefully mon tor the food at th s sett ng. Do
not overcook or leave oven on cont nuously.
•When cook ng for less than 5 m nutes, always rotate the
t mer sl ghtly past the 5-m nute mark and the move t
back to des red cook ng t me.
Grilling.
•Remove w re rack from m ddle shelf. Pos t on nto top
shelf pos t on. Sl de pan nto sl de ra ls under w re rack
as for Bak ng. NOTE always use oven gloves when oven
s hot.
•Pos t on food on w re rack. Select t me and temperature
as des red.
•Leave door open wh lst gr ll ng. Ideal for gr ll ng topp ngs
to sandw ches, such as cheese on toast.
Temperature Conversion Table
The oven mark ngs are n Cels us. The follow ng gu de can
be used for convers on to Fahrenhe t.
70˚ C - 150F
120˚ C - 250F
170˚ C - 350F
220˚ C - 450F
CLEANING AND CARING FOR YOUR OVEN
•Always d sconnect your CASCADE m n oven from the
ma ns supply before clean ng.
•Always allow your m n oven to cool completely before
clean ng.
•Never mmerse your m n oven n water or other l qu ds.
•W pe the exter or of the m n oven w th a damp cloth.
Dry w th a dry towel.
•W pe the oven door glass ns de and out w th a damp
soapy cloth. Dry w th a dry towel. Do not use harsh
abras ves as th s may damage the glass surface.
•Remove the w re rack and pan. Wash n hot soapy
water, dry w th a dry towel. Replace the w re rack.
•W pe the ns de of the oven w th a damp cloth. Dry w th
a dry towel.
•IMPORTANT clean the crumb tray after each use. Place
oven on ts back, pull crumb tray forward and remove
any crumbs or food part cles. W pe w th a damp cloth
and dry w th a dry towel. Return crumb tray to ts
correct pos t on and secure n place. WARNING never
operate the oven w th the crumb tray removed as th s
may damage the bench surface.
•
