m HOW TO LOAD THE ROLL-PAPER
1) Cut across the paper to form a clean end and insert it into the slot @.
2) Press the key until the paper appears in the back of the paper-cutter (2).
3) Insert the roll-holders @) into their mounting brackets.
4) Set the roll-paper onto the roll-holder.
Note: The paper tape should be advanced by pressing the key when cutting it off by the paper-cutter.
Never pull it up by hands as this may cause malfunctions.
It is recommended that ANTI-DUST type roll-paper be used to prevent iflegible printing.

Se recomienda el uso de papel en rollo def tipo ANTIPOLVO para evitar impresiones legibles.
m@ HOW TO CHANGE THE INK ROLLER
The printer in this model uses a disposable ink roller {cartridge type).
{f impressions are too fight or illegible, replace the ink roller with a new one.
1) Open the printer cover (Fig. 1).
2} Remove the ink roller by pulling it up (Fig. 2).
3) Install a new ink roller (Fig. 3).
4) Make sure the ink roller is in place, and replace the cover.
Note: Never fill the ink roller with fluid ink as it may run or clog the printer. Use only Casio ink cartridge
(IR-40T).
= CAMBIO RODILLO DE LA TINTA
La impresora de este modelo utiliza un rodilio entintado descartable (tipo cartucho).
Cambie el rodillo de tinta por uno nuevo cada vez que la impresién se torne poco clara o ilegible.
1) Abra ta cubierta del impresor (Fig. 1).
2) Quite el roditlo de la tinta tirandolo hacia arriba (Fig. 2).
3) Instale un rodillo de tinta nuevo (Fig. 3).
4) Asegurese de que el rodillo quede bien instalado y vuelva a poner la cubierta.

At the ‘'F’‘ position, the decimal floats and the un-
derflow system works to protect the significant
digits.
At the ‘'3'’, “’2"’ or ‘’0"’ position, an answer is
automatically rounded off at each decimal place
(3, 2 or O}.
Note: Each entry is rounded off in addition/subtrac-
tion. However, the final result is rounded off
in x /+ operation and entry and intermedi-
ate results are in the floating mode.
At the ““ADD(2)”’ position, numbers with decimal
places can be entered without pressing the (+) key
in addition/subtraction and the decimal point is
automatically displayed and/or printed out at 2
decimal position.

2-1 HANDLING OF THE CALCULATOR
*Since the unit contains precise electronic com-
ponents, never attempt to disassemble it.
*Be careful not to drop the unit or handle it roughly.
* Avoid operating the keys roughly. Two or more
keys should not be pressed simultaneously as this
may damage the unit.
* Avoid using the unit in extreme temperatures (be-
low 32°F or O°C, or above 104°F or 40°C). Also
protect the unit from extremely dusty or humid
conditions.
*The unit should be operated only when the roll
paper is set property and keys are pressed firmly
and separately.
*Never use volatile fluid such as lacquer thinner,
benzine, etc. for cleaning the unit.
2-2 POWER SOURCE
This calculator operates by either dry batteries or
AC (with the AC adaptor}.
DRY BATTERY OPERATION
When battery power decreases, printing speed be-
comes slow. It is recommended that batteries be
renewed.
Switch off the power before changing.
Replacement of batteries:
1) Slide open the battery compartment tid.
2) Remove dead batteries.
3) Insert new batteries with the polarity as shown
by the (© symbols.
4) Replace the battery compartment lid.
*Be sure to replace all four batteries.
*Do not Jeave dead batteries in the battery com-
partment as they may cause malfunctions.
*|t is recommended that batteries be replaced ev-
ery 2 years to prevent the chance of malfunctions
due to battery leakage.

AC OPERATION
Use only an adaptor with the same voltage rating
(100, 117, 220 or 240V) as your power supply
to prevent component damage.
Plug the AC adaptor into the AC outlet and the cord
into the unit, this automatically cuts off battery
power supply.
“WHERE USED FROM THE MAINS THIS CALCU-
LATOR MUST ONLY BE USED WITH A CASIO
MAINS ADAPTOR. THIS IS DUE TO THE RISK OF
DAMAGE TO THE CALCULATOR SHOULD IT BE
USED WITH A MAINS ADAPTOR OTHER THAN
A CASIO MAINS ADAPTOR.

2-3 BUFFER REGISTER
This calculator is equipped with an Input Buffer
Register which retains up to 7 key-in, whether
numeral entries or function commands.
It enables very fast operation even while the previ-
ous function is still being processed.

This equipment generates and uses radio frequency
energy and if not installed and used properly, that is,
in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions, may cause interference to radio and television

ply with the limits for a Class B computing device in

2-1 MANEJO DE LA CALCULADORA
*Nunca intente desarmar la unidad puesto que con-
tiene componentes electrénicos de precision.
*Cuide de no dejar caer la unidad ni de manejaria
con rudeza.
*Evite presionar las teclas con mucha fuerza. No
deben presionarse dos o mas teclas simultanea-
mente ya que esto puede dafiar Is unidad.
* Evite usar la unidad bajo temperaturas extremas
(bajo O°C 6 sobre 40°C), También se debe pro-
teger la unidad del polvo y ja humedad.
*La unidad debe ser operada sdélo cuando el rollo
de papel esta ajustado propiamente y las teclas
son presionadas firme y separadamente.
*Nunca utilice fluidos volatiles como diloyente para
laca bencina etc. para limpiar Ja unidad.
2-2 FUENTE DE ENERGIA
Esta calculadora opera tanto con pilas secas co-
mo con CA (con un adaptador para CA),
FUNCIONAMIENTO CON PILAS SECAS
Cuando la carga de las pilas disminuye, la veloci-
dad de impresién se ententece. Se recomienda
cambiar las pilas. Desconecte la energia antes de
hacer el cambio.
Cambio de tas ;_:s:
1} Deslizar abrir, _.pa del compartimiento de las
pilas.
2} Saque las pilas gastadas.
3} Inserte pilas nuevas con las polaridades segun
indican los signos y ©.
4) Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimiento de
las pilas.
*Asegurese de cambiar las cuatro pilas.
*No deje pilas en el compartimiento de las misrnas
porque pueden causar desperfectos.
*Se recomienda cambiar las pilas cada 2 afios pa-
ra evitar la posibilidad de desperfectos debidos
al escape de las mismas.

FUNCIONAMIENTO CON CA
Use unicamente un adaptador con el mismo vol-
taje (100, 117, 220 6 240V) dei suministro de
corriente para prevenir danios a los componentes.
Enchufe ei adaptador de CA en un tomacorriente

automaticamente el suministro de corriente de las

2) ADD mode calculation
With the decimal place selector at ‘“ADD2" pasition, the decimal place of entry and result is fixed at 2 position
and there is no need to press the (-] key for each entry in addition/subtraction. If the (-) key is pressed, it
displays and/or prints the decimal point in its logical position.

3) Addition/Subtraction by repeat
An entry or result is added or subtracted as many times as the or & key is pressed and the (&) key obtains
their totals.
The following is an example of simultaneous counting of quantity and amount.
