We want you to love your set. We carefully inspect each product
before it is shipped. Please examine your product now. If there is
any damage due to shipping, please contact customerservice@
castlesports.com with your order number and a picture of the
damage.

First, the safety stu
Please observe the following warnings:
Use caution while setting up and taking down the set.
Do not hang items on the metal poles or straps.
Do not allow individuals to hang on or swing on the metal poles or
straps.
There should be no additional weight added to the frame of the
poles.
While setting up the product be careful to watch fingers when
snapping the poles into place.
When disassembling the set take the straps o first to make it
easier.
Your Castlesquares set is designed to be portable and easy to set
up. It is not designed to be left out outside long-term.
Do not play with your Castlesquares set outside in a storm.
Castlesports is not liable for any injury or damages.
For the best experience playing 9-square, adjust the height of
your Castlesquares 9-square set so that the squares are about 2
feet above the head of your average player.

6 STEPS FOR EASY SETUP
1. Unfold poles and lock them together
2. Lay our the long poles in a big square.
3. connect the four poles with the corner pieces
4. connect the legs to the corner pieces.
5. Add the straps to the poles go under and over each strap.
6. adjust the height and begin playing!

*note when straps are pulled tight, it is normal for the poles to bend inward.

The rotation starts with 9 players with one player in each square.
To start the game, the king, or player in the center square, thenTo start the game, the king, or player in the center square, then

1. Defend your square
You want to do everything you can to make sure you return the

ball to another square without letting it touch the ground. You fail
to defend your square if:
• the ball passes through your square and hits the ground
• you hit the ball and it goes immediately out of the 9 square
court if you hit the ball twice
• you hit the ball and it hits the metal frame or straps
Any of these fouls will make you abandon your square and move
to the starting square (Square #1) or if there is a line then the back
of the line.
2. Climb in ranks
When a person moves to the end of the rotation, players behind
him or her will follow the rotation in the provided graphic to fill the
empty spot. The person who is now in the King/Queen position
will take the ball and give service to restart the game.
3. Stay in power
The goal of this game is to make your way through the rotation
to the “#9” square which is considered the King/Queen position.
Once there, players will try to stay there as long as possible.
