II. DIAGRAM OF INSTALLATION
For Intranet To connect correctly, users and the video server (FUM-T10II)
should be in the same network system (intranet) and both ends'
IP address should be in the same sub-net. Refer to the
installation guide as below:

Two DNS IP addresses are allowed within this model.
˙Primary DNS Server:Primary DNS IP address.
˙Secondary DNS Server:Secondary DNS IP address.
Prefixed port:80。
If the port is to be changed, the IP address should be
changed accordingly. Ex. Original IP address is
192.168.1.126, prefixed port is 80. If port change to
1000, the IP address should become: 192.168.1.126:1000

4.4 Wireless LAN
Picture 1.4
* Wireless LAN Card Is Required
Operation Mode:There are two types of wireless network
connnection—Infrastructure and Ad-hoc. Infrastructure
is connecting via AP (Access Point) which is considered
as the HUB in wired networking system. Ad-hoc is rather
exceptional. It connects a set of wireless cards that modifies
SSID (Service Set Identifier) value at same level, which
the network is operated from point to point.
˙If the networking is via AP, select “Infra.” If the networking
is from point to point, select “Ad-Hoc.” The prefixed
mode is Infra.
˙Wireless Type:Two types for selection. Prefixed type is
802.11b/g (802.11b/g mixed mode) which is a shared
mode. 802.11b(802.11b only)is an exclusive mode.
˙Country Region:Select the country region that the wireless
card belongs, prefixed region is FCC. The country region
setting should be the same as Mini PCI Wireless Card
(referred to the back of the wireless card).
˙Channel:Select an appropriate channel to help reducing
radio noise. Selection is from 1-11, prefixed channel is 10.
˙TX Rate:Transmission rate. Selections are Auto、1、2、
5.5、11、6、9、12、18、24、36、48、54Mbp, etc.,
prefixed rate is Auto。
˙
4.4.1 Basic Configuration

Video Server
11
˙SSID:Service Set Identifier. Identifies different network
connection which allows the maximum byte up to 32.
When wireless cards are set in different SSID value, the
user can access to different networks. SSID is normally
broadcasted by AP. In Window XP the user is able to
view SSID in current network. The SSID value in this
section should be the same as AP in order to connect to
the network. The prefixed selection is “ipcam_wlan.”
˙Ad-Hoc Mode: Selections are 802.11b and 802.11g.
Prefixed mode is 802.11b.
4.4.2 Security Settings
˙Authorization Type:Two selections are:
‧Open System:Allow any unauthorized visitor.
‧Shared Key: Shared-key mode base on encryption
concept.
˙Encryption Type:Two selections are WEP-encryption
and None (no encryption).
˙Default Key ID:1 ~ 4 WEP shared-keys should be
selected in accordance to the router. The router will
verify if WEP Key ID in default value is correct. There
are two selections to encrypt the transmitting data–
64Bit and 128Bit.
˙WEP Key ID 1~4:
‧HEX:Hexadecimal form. Insert 0 ~ F. The length of
the WEP Key ID is defined by encryption key, 64Bit or
128Bit. With 128Bit, 26 byte is maximum; with 64Bit,
10 bytes.
‧ASCII:128Bit allows maximum 13 bytes; 64Bit
allows 5 bytes.
˙Save & Reboot:Save and reboot Video Server.
˙Reset:Reset the Wireless Settings

4.5 PPPoE
Picture 1.4
4.5.1 PPPoE Configuration
˙
˙User Name:Insert the user name from by ISP provider.
˙Password:Insert password from ISP provider
˙MTU (128~1492): Maximum Transmission Unit,
the largest packet that can pass onwards in communication
protocol, is calculated in bytes of the size. MTU is
usually set in 1500 bytes for transmission. If the MTU
packets are too large, it will block up a slow interface for
some time, increasing the lag on other packets. Reducing
the packet size will help the smoothness of transmission.
Prefixed size is 1492.
˙Email Notification when IP is changed: SMTP should
be preset before using this function. (Refer to 5.4 SMTP
Settings)
Enable PPPoE:Enable or disable PPPoE
