DVR Keyboard User Instruction
(Please read this instruction carefully before use the product)

The JK900 keyboard Control high speed dome camera and puts, it is
the main equipment for man-machine interface in surveillance system,
can be used as main keyboard or branch keyboard, It is very easy
and enjoy to control the PTZ camera with it.
Features:
•LCD display, as man-machine interface, LCD display board is more
intuitionist, convenient, each to understand, plentiful information, etc.
•In-built multi-protocol: Pelco-D, Pelco-P, Pelco-D1, Pelco-P1, New
maximum 1.5KM** (4900ft) long communication distance, ideal for
applications where a Gate House or Security Lodge is located a
distance from the installed unit.
•Can be combined to control the PTZ camera with a Stand alone DVR

I: OPERATION OF THE KEYBOARD
1. SELECT DOME CAMERA /DECODER ADDRESS N [CAM]
Indication: the CAM area of the LCD would show the value of new N
Specification: N ---- Camera No., Scope: 1~255
Function: select the camera address which is going to be controlled, as the N value is
matched to the Dome camera / Decode address, the Dome camera / Decode would be
controlled.
2. DOME P/T LENS CONTROLLING
[ZOOM+] : Zoom in
[ZOOM-] : Zoom out
[FOCUS+] : Focus far
[FOCUS-] : Focus near
[IRIS+] : Iris big
[IRIS-] : Iris small
[AUTO] : ON/OFF automatically
Joystick can control the direction and speed of revolving/ up & down of Dome P/T, Speed
of revolving/up & down depends on the angle of controlling the joystick, by changing the
size of tilt angle of the joystick can adjust the revolving speed equably.
Indication: the above operation information will be showed in the DATA area of the LCD

3. SETUP PRESET N
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “PRESET”
Specification: N ---- PRESET NO. Scope; 1~255
Function: Save the present position as No. N
4. RUN PREVIEW N
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “PREVIEW”
Specification: N ---- PRESET NO. Scope: 1~255
Function: Revolve the camera to the position of PRESET NO. N
5. DELETE PREVIEW N
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “DELPRE”
Specification: N ---- PRESET NO. Scope: 1~255
Function: Delete the PRESET NO. N saved
6. ON/OFF CAMERA MENU
6.1 Menu ON [3] [F1/ON]
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “MENU ON”
6.2 Menu OFF [3] [F2/OFF]
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “MENU OFF”
7. HOME ON /OFF
7.1 Home On [4] [F1/ON]
Indication: the DATA area of LCD would show information of “HOME ON”
7.2 Home Off [4] [F2/OFF]
Indication; the DATA area of LCD would show information of “HOME OFF”
8. KEYBOARD MENU SETUP
8.1 Set up Cruising Groups of High-Speed Dome Camera
①Cruising Group Set Up
Press [FUN] button enter into Keyboard menu, the LCD would indicate:
The information indicates the set up of the High-Speed Dome Camera Cruising Group
Press [ACK] button, the LCD would indicate:
1) Speed Dome
Group Setup
1.0 Speed Dome
No.1 Group No.1

The information indicating request users input the address of the High-Speed Dome
Camera and the number of the Cruising Group
②Set Up Address of High-Speed Dome Camera and Number of Cruising Groups
Input Manner : press number button (0~9) to input the address “1~128”of the High-Speed
Dome Camera ,after finish, press [F1/ON] button to switch the cursor to the setup status of
input Cruising Group , then press number button to input Cruising group numbers”1~4”.
For example: if user set up the second group of Cruising group of No.3 Dome camera,
firstly input No.”3” , and press[F1/ON] to switch the cursor to the setup status of Cruising
Group , and then input “2”, at the moment the LCD indicates :
After finish setting up the address of High-Speed Dome Camera and number of Cruising
Group, press [ACK] button to confirm and enter into next set up step.
③Add PRESET NO. into Cruising Group
1. Add PRESET NO.
Finish setting up the High-Speed Dome Camera address and Cruising Group in step ②,
press [ACK] button to enter into adding PRESET NO. status, the LCD will indicate at the
moment :
The information indicating request users to input PRESET NO..
Press number button “0~9” and input PRESET NO.”1~128”, after finish, press [ACK]
button to confirm and enter next setting step
2. Set up specification of PRESET NO.
After press [ACK] button in the last step, the LCD indicates:
The information indicating request users to set up speed of the PRESET No. and Stop
time. ”XXX” is the PRESET NO. input in last step .
Press number button “0~9” to input the stop time of PRESET NO., stop time scope:
1.0 Speed Dome
No.3 Group No.2
1.1Add position
Position No.:1
1.2Position: XXX

“1~255”. After finish input, press [ACK] to confirm, one PRESET NO. is added to the
Cruising Group successfully , at this moment the LCD would back to status of indicating
input PRESET NO., preparing to add next PRESET No. .Add all PRESET NO. to Cruising
Group according to the manner of step 1& 2.
④Save the Cruising Group set up in step ③into High-Speed Dome Camera
In step③, after finish adding all PRESET NO., LCD will be back to status of adding next
PRESET NO., that is, the LCD indicates:
Press [F2/OFF] button then, ,the Cruising Group set up in step ③would save in
High-Speed Dome Camera, the LCD would then back to step ②.
⑤By operation of step , , to②③④ up Cruising Group of all High-Speed Dome
Cameras ,after finish setting up , press [EXIT] button twice continuously to exit set up
status.
8.2 Set up Keyboard Baud Rate and Protocol
This keyboard can set up different protocol and baud rate for each channel. When the
keyboard switch the dome camera/ decode address, it will output the relative control order
according to the protocol and baud rate set up.
①Baud Rate / protocol setting up
Press [FUN] button repeatedly to make the LCD indicates:
Press [ACK] to enter into setting up status of Baud Rate / Protocol.
①Input Channel No. to be set up
As entering to the setting up status, the LCD indicates:

The indicating information request users input the channel number of setting up protocol
and baud rate. The keyboard default channel number is “888”, it means that to set up all
channels with same protocol and baud rate. Users should change “888” into the relative
channel number if there are some particular channels requested, channel scope:”1~128” .
②Set up protocol and baud rate
After the channel is set up, press [ACK] to enter into setting up status of protocol and
baud rate, then the LCD indicates:
The indicating information indicates the present protocol and baud rate.
The keyboard offers 5 protocols for users to choose
( PELC-D,PELCO-P,PELCOD1,PELCOP1,NEW) , press [PREVIEW] or [PRESET] button
to choose the suitable protocol. After the protocol finish setting up, press [F1/ON] to switch
the cursor to status of setting up baud rate. The baud rates can be set up by the keyboard
are: 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200. Press [PERSET] or [PREVIEW] to choose suitable
baud rate.
③Save the present setup of protocol and baud rate
After finish setting up protocol and baud rate, press[F2/OFF] button to save the present
setup to the keyboard .The keyboard is back to input new channel number status .
④By operation of step , , ,different protocol and baud rate of particular②③④
channels can be set up , after all these setup are finished, press [EXIT] to exit the setup
status.
8.3 Left /Right delimitation setup
①Left/Right delimitation setup
Press [FUN] repeatedly to make the LCD indicates:
Press [ACK] button to enter into Left/Right delimitation setup status.
②Set up Left delimitation
Protocol: PELCO_D
Baud Rate: 2400
3) Limits Setup

When enter into Left/Right delimitation setting up status, the LCD would indicate:
Press [PRESET] or [PREVIEW] button to make the cursor indicates “Left”, operate the
joystick to make the dome camera revolve to the left delimitation setup position. Press
[F2/OFF] button to save the position into dome camera. At the moment the LCD would
indicate:
③Set up Right delimitation
When enter into Left/Right delimitation setting up status, Press [PRESET] or [PREVIEW]
button to make the cursor indicates “Right”, then operate the joystick and make the
dome camera revolve to the right delimitation setup position. Press [F2/OFF] to save
this position into dome camera. At the moment the LCD would indicate:
④Exit Left/Right delimitation Set up
Press [EXIT] button to exit Left/Right delimitations setup status.
8.4 Dome Camera Home Setup
①Home setup
Press [FUN] button repeatedly to make the LCD indicates:
Press [ACK] button to enter into Home Setup status
②Set up Home
3.0 Limits Setup
Limit: Left
Left Limit
Set OK!
Right Limit
Set OK!
4) Home Setup

When enter into Home setup status, the LCD would indicate:
Operate the joystick to make the dome camera revolve to the Home setup position.
Press [F2/OFF] button to save the present Home setup into dome camera. At the
moment the LCD would indicate:
③Exit Home setup
Press [EXIT] button to exit Home setup status.
8.5 Run Dome Camera’s Cruising Group
①Enter run Cruising group menu
Press [FUN] button repeatedly to make the LCD indicates:
Press [ACK] button to enter run Cruising group status
②Input Cruising Group number of Dome Camera
When enter Running Cruising group of dome camera status, the LCD would indicate:
Press number button ”0~9” to input the Cruising group number, its scope is “1~4”.
③Run Cruising Group of Dome Camera
After input the Cruising group number, press [F2/OFF] button to run the Cruising group
of the dome camera, at the moment the LCD would indicate:

④Exit Running Cruising Group of Dome Camera Status
Press [EXIT]
II.INSTALL
CAUTION: Please read this keyboard instruction carefully before connecting. Any error
connection may cause permanent damage of the equipment. Please turn off the power of
the keyboard before connecting. The connection of communication lines between
equipments must use twisted-pair with shield. To avoid high pressure lines or other
possible disturbance as possible as connecting the communication lines.
