Celsus SP-One Speaker
Spacious sound stage, commanding bass, exemplary coherence
and musicality
Size notwithstanding, the Celsus SP-One speaker can fill a
room with audiophile-quality sound. The SP-One’s expansive
soundstage, commanding bass and overall musicality puts it at
the forefront of “bookshelf” speakers. And for more personal
applications, the SP-One’s excellent nearfield characteristics,
especially at low volume settings, makes it the perfect desktop
companion. The SP One's enclosure is made of a dense,
premium-quality, naturally finished bamboo. The carbon-fiber
woofer, featuring an aluminum waveguide, nicely
complements the cabinet's sophisticated styling.
Design features that enable SP-One to outperform similar
speakers
1) Deep Bass Carbon Fiber Woofer: lightweight 3.5 inch
woven carbon-fiber cone, wave reflection structure and

custom-designed magnet together produce a 55Hz frequency
normally typical of larger woofers.
2) Tweeter: soft dome, horn-loaded driver for a wide
dispersion of highs –a design that lowers the crossover
frequency in order to achieve a flatter frequency response.

8
The soft-dome tweeter’s high-energy magnetic flux and self-
cooling capability together produce an audibly clearer signal.
3) Frequency Division: By carefully matching tweeter and
woofer characteristics, the SP-One eliminates the need for a
traditional crossover network, so often a source of degraded
sonic. Instead, the SP-One employs a single custom capacitor
as a frequency divider for a more detailed and vivid sound.
4) The SP-One’s double cavity allows for a bass reflex design
capable of delivering powerful dynamics.

5) CD-quality Bluetooth sound: together, the 4.0 Bluetooth
transmitter and receiver module with aptX technology plus the
SP-One’s noise-reduction circuit deliver CD-quality sound.
6) Optimized Active Speaker Design: the SP-One audiophile-
grade power amplifier‘s specific compatibility with speaker and
Bluetooth module bring to life a vast, imposing soundstage
rich in the music’s smallest details.

Speaker Placement and Setup
1. The Active Speaker (the unit that has the back panel as
shown in the illustration above) should be placed on the
right.
2. The speakers should be at least 1.5 meters apart, and
about 1 meter away from the wall.
3. Connect the two speakers using the cable provided.
4. Use only the included AC adapter to power up the
speaker. It is designed to work with worldwide AC from
100 to 240V.
There are three ways to configure the SP-One:
1) SP-One as a Bluetooth speaker
a. Set the switch on the back of the speaker to
WIRELESS. A LED will blink rapidly in red and blue
color o indicate that it is in pairing mode. It will turn
to blinking blue color when it is paired with a source
device.
b. Connect your Bluetooth source device (smartphone,
tablet or computer) to the SP-One.
c. To manually un-pair the speaker from a source
device, press and hold the small PAIR DISABLE
button for 3 seconds.
2) SP-One as an active speaker using AUX input
a. Set the switch on the back of the speaker to AUX.
b. Connect the analog output from an external source
to the RCA input of SP-One.

3) SP-One as a passive speaker
a. You might want to use an external Integrated
Digital Amplifier (which has USB and optical inputs
for connecting to other digital source devices) to
drive SP-One instead of its internal power amplifier.
b. Connect the external power amplifier speaker
cables to the left and right SP-One speaker
terminals (do not connect to the RCA inputs). Unlike
the AUX and Bluetooth configuration, you do not
connect the speaker cables between the two speakers.
They are both connected to the external amplifier.
