ChanceRides, Inc. has designed a new door co1lar which acLs as a
retention device for the gond6la doors on the above noted CENTURY
WHEEL
amusement
ridbs. These door collars, when properly installed, will
reduce.q+e possibility ,of someone inadvertedtly op-ening the gondola
doors while the ride is in operation.
In addition to these new door collars, Chance Rides, Inc. has also
designed a new caution decal to be positioned on the inside of the
qond5la doors. This decal warns persons not to attempt to open t.he
doors unless t.he gondola is stopped in the load/unload st-ation. -
Chance Rides, Inc. requires aII owner/operators of the above noted
CENTURY
VfHEELrides Lo 6rder and install both the new door collars and
decals. A total of 30 right-hand door collars, part number 405-L32-8,
and 30 left.-hand door coll5rs, part number 406-f32-9, are required per
ride. Fifteen caution decals, parL number 406-L77-001, are aLso
reguired. In addition, 50 "PUSH-DOWN
AND INil decals, part _number
406-1,79-Land 50 UPUSH DOWN
AI,TD decals, parL number 405-178-1 must
be installed on each ride noted above. The door collars and the decals
are available at. no charge if ordered within 90 days of the date on this
bulletin. Use the inst.ructions in this bullet.in to install both the
door collars and the decals.
A11 work must be performed bv qualified personnel, capable of
underst.anding the funlction of t,he parts and their proper ins[aflation.

fnsLallation Instructions for Door Collars and Decals
1. Remove the Lop L/4-20 x L/2 inch long he><.
head capscrew which
secures the goirdola door to the top door hinge angle and remove
the door.
Drive the expansion pin out of the existing door coLlar and
remove Lhe collar.
position the new collar in place and install Lhe new expansion
pin, part number 55183402. Sixty expanslon plns are requlred.
NOTE: Be sure to install t.he right-hand collar on the right.-hand
door and [he left-hand cbllar on the left-hand door, so
doors open inward only.
4. Reinstall the d.oor to t.he do-or.hinge angle and tight,en the 1/4-20
hex head capscrew
until the lock washer is flat.
5. Install new decals, over existing ones.
