MAGO is a system consisting of various devices connected to each other via Bluetooth
in a mesh network. The system can be expanded adding other devices at any time; this
allows considerable distances to be covered - even across different oors. The system
is only accessible via the MAGO application downloaded to a smartphone. The data
exchanged on the system are encrypted and can only be accessed from MAGO devices
using the system password, or from smartphones with access authorisation. This makes
of MAGO a highly secure system protected from unauthorised access.
Maximum system capacity:
192 devices, 15 units, 16 scenes, 16 environments, 250 events.

MAGO Gateway’s two main features are:
1) Connection to the Cloud, i.e. ability to remotely access the Mago system via Wi-Fi or a
GPRS connection.
2) Through the temperature and humidity sensors integrated in the device, MAGO
Gateway allows these values to be displayed on the application home page.
Temperature data can also be used by the specialised thermostat MAGO Actuator, to
manage the activation or deactivation of the boiler or air conditioner.
MAGO Gateway is an optional unit: the system will work even without this device.
Front LED description:
Steady red: it indicates that the Cloud conguration is not complete or has not been
implemented.
Slow green: it indicates that the connection to the network has not yet been made, or
that logging in to the GPRS network has not occurred.
Fast green: it indicates that logging in to the network has been successfully performed,
or that IP connection from the GPRS network has been obtained.
Steady green: it indicates that the gateway is connected with the server.
Steady green + ashing red: it indicates that the gateway is temporarily unavailable
because updating is in progress.
Blue: it indicates the reception of a Bluetooth package.

MAGO system creation
33
At this point, after connecting all the devices and installing the MAGO application, we
can create the system by associating the various components to the Bluetooth system.
1) Open the app, click on“+”, then “create new system”.
2) Assign a name to the system.
3) Enter the 8-digit system identication code (store this code safely).
ID Code: __________________________
4) Enter the 6-digit administrator password. The administrator is the highest user
prole with the most power over the system. Lower prole passwords are created
automatically and can be changed by the administrator.

Once it has been exactly identied, select the device from the list.
1) Enter the name of the controlled item that we are controlling (for example: “Kitchen
shutter”).
2) Select the most appropriate application from the list (awning, roller shutter, etc.).
3) Place the item inside a room. You can rename existing rooms or create others.
4) Repeat these steps for all the devices to be added to the system.
34
Device association:
After clicking on “Add device”, the app shows a list of all the available devices that can
be added to the system. Be careful in this phase because devices from the next-door
apartment may also be on the list. To avoid errors, it is possible to accurately identify the
device that we are adding in two different ways.
Device identication:
Press and hold down for 5 seconds the Mago switch stop button (Fig. 1) or the middle of
the other devices (Fig. 2) until the LED ashes. On the app, the TEST button of the newly
identied device goes green for one minute (Fig. 3).
LED
App-assisted identication:
Reach the device to be identied. Press the TEST button on the app of the MAGO device
that you wish to identify, wait a few seconds, the motor or the connected lights should
be activated.
