HANDS-FREE START
The vehicle is equipped with Hands-Free Start, which will automatically start the vehicle.
The Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) must be in the passenger cabin to power
on the vehicle.
STARTING THE VEHICLE – POWER ON
Enter the vehicle and close the driver’s door.
Buckle the seat belt and press the brake pedal.
The vehicle will power on automatically.
When the vehicle is ready to be driven, the
READY icon will appear on the cluster display.
Note: If the key fob battery is weak, place the key fob on
the key icon in the storage compartment at the front of the
center console to enable the vehicle to start. Replace the
key fob battery as soon as possible.
STOPPING THE VEHICLE – POWER OFF
With the vehicle in Park, unbuckle the seat belt and open the driver’s door. After exit-
ing the vehicle and closing the door, the vehicle will power off automatically.
To turn off the vehicle manually, with the vehicle in Park, select the OFF icon on the
infotainment screen below the Volume knob.
POWER ON AFTER DRIVER EXIT
To keep the vehicle on after a driver exit, shift to Park and then select the Extend
Mode icon on the infotainment screen. The vehicle will remain on for a set time dis-
played on the infotainment screen.

ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT
The drive unit is electronically controlled using
the shift lever on the right side of the steering
column. The selected position is illuminated in red
on the lever and is shown on the cluster display.
The driver’s seat belt must be buckled to shift the
drive unit.
Park – Press the P button on the end of the lever
to shift into Park.
Reverse – Press the brake pedal and then pull the
lever toward you and up to shift into Reverse.
Neutral – Press the brake pedal and then pull the lever toward you and hold briefly to
shift into Neutral.
Note: The vehicle will not stay in Neutral for an extended period. It will automatically shift into Park.

Drive – Press the brake pedal and then pull the lever toward you and down to shift
into Drive.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Some equipment shown may not be included in your vehicle.
The reconfigurable cluster can display a variety
of messages and vehicle information, including
energy efficiency, trip information, the audio
source, driver assistance information and more.
CLUSTER DISPLAY CONTROLS
Press the Display button to view and
scroll through the cluster display layouts.
Press the or switch to scroll through
the active menu.
Press the switch to select an item or clear
amessage.
VEHICLE INFORMATION
Press the Vehicle Status icon on the info-
tainment screen to view all available vehicle
information.
When viewing an item, select Add to Driver
Display to display an item or Remove from
Display to remove an item on the driver
display.
BATTERY GAUGE
The battery gauge (A) displays the propulsion
battery state of charge and an estimated range of
the remaining charge.
POWER INDICATOR GAUGE
The power indicator gauge (B) displays instantaneous charge and consumption power
to help track energy use and extend battery range. A green power indicator gauge indi-
cates energy regeneration through braking. Avoid driving that turns the gauge amber,
indicating excessive power use.

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER
KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM
Lock
Press to lock all doors
and liftgate.

Press and release to locate your vehicle.
Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate
the alarm. Press again to cancel the
alarm.
Power Liftgate
Press twice to open or close the power
liftgate. Press once to stop power
operation.

Remote Start
Press twice to power on the vehicle and
condition the cabin temperature.
To cancel a remote start, press and hold
the

button until the parking lamps
turn off.
Note: It’s RECOMMENDED to remote start the
vehicle when it is plugged in to use energy from
the electrical outlet to assist in getting the cabin
to a comfortable temperature and to leave more
battery energy for driving.
The Keyless Access System enables operation
of the doors and liftgate without removing the
Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) from
your pocket or bag. The key fob must be within 3
feet of the liftgate or door being unlocked.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the key fob within range:
Press the button on the driver’s door handle to
unlock the driver’s door; press it again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors.
Press the button on a passenger door handle to unlock all doors.
Press the touch pad above the license plate to open the liftgate.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the key fob within range:
Press the button on any door handle to lock all doors immediately.
PASSIVE LOCKING/UNLOCKING
To have all doors and liftgate lock automatically after a short delay when the vehicle is
off, the key fob is removed from the vehicle, and all doors are closed, go to Settings >
Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock and Start > Passive Door Lock.
To have the driver’s door or all doors and liftgate unlock when using the driver’s door,
go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock and Start > Passive Door Unlock.

ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
DRIVER MODE CONTROL
Some equipment shown may not be included in your vehicle.
To apply the parking brake, press the Parking Brake button on the left side of the
instrument panel.
To release the parking brake, turn on the vehicle, press the brake pedal, and then
press the button.
The parking brake will release automatically if the vehicle is placed in Drive or Reverse
and an attempt is made to drive away.
The parking brake may apply automatically under some conditions, including parking on
certain grades.

The Drive Mode settings automatically adjust
various vehicle systems based on driving pref-
erences, weather and road conditions.
Select the Drive Modes icon on the infotain-
ment screen to change the drive mode.
Available modes may include:
Tour – Use in normal driving for a smooth ride.
Sport – Use for enhanced responsiveness.
Snow/Ice – Use for enhanced traction on snowy roads.
My Mode – Use to personalize settings for acceleration feel, brake feel, steering, motor
sound and other systems.

AUTOMATIC VEHICLE HOLD
Automatic Vehicle Hold will hold the vehicle station-
ary after the brake pedal has been released and
until the accelerator pedal is pressed. The Auto
Hold indicator illuminates in green on the cluster
display when the system is holding the vehicle.
To turn the system on or off, press the AUTO
HOLD button (A) on the left side of the instru-
ment panel.
Note: Automatic Vehicle Hold is not active under all
conditions. Do not rely on the system to hold the vehicle.

Go to Controls > Drive & Park > One-Pedal
Driving to enable and customize the One-Pedal
Driving features.
To quickly turn One-Pedal Driving on or off,
press the quick access button on the left side of
the infotainment display.
When active, the One-Pedal Driving symbol
will illuminate on the cluster display. When the
accelerator pedal is released, regenerative braking will slow the vehicle without using
the brake pedal, which can help increase energy efficiency. Use the brake pedal for addi-
tional braking or panic stops.

REGEN ON DEMAND
ONE-PEDAL DRIVING
Some equipment shown may not be included in your vehicle.
Regen on Demand regenerates some energy from
the vehicle’s momentum and stores it in the propul-
sion battery for later use.
To activate Regen on Demand, pull and hold the
paddle on the back of the left side of the steering
wheel.
While pulling the paddle, the vehicle will begin to
decelerate using regenerative braking. Use the
brake pedal for additional braking or panic stops. Regen on Demand is deactivated once
the paddle is released.
Note: Regenerative braking may be limited under certain conditions, including when the propulsion
battery is near full charge or cold.

DRIVING EFFICIENTLY
MAXIMIZING RANGE
A number of factors influence energy use and driving range, including:
Technique – Avoid rapid acceleration or braking. Higher speeds use more energy and
significantly reduce range.
Terrain – Varying road conditions, such as hills, rain, snow, and wind, impact range.
Climate Settings – The energy needed to warm or cool the vehicle’s cabin and propulsion
battery can cause range to decline. Turning off the Heat and A/C settings will increase
efficiency.
Outside Temperature – Hotter or colder air has an effect on vehicle aerodynamics and
range.

HEAD-UP DISPLAYF
FOptional equipment. Some equipment shown may not be included in your vehicle.
The Head-Up Display (HUD) projects some oper-
ating information on the windshield. Temporary
information and vehicle messages also may be
displayed.
Select Controls > HUD on the infotainment
screen to turn the HUD on/off and to adjust the
display brightness and position.

MANUAL FRONT-SEAT ADJUSTMENTS
Seat Adjustment – Lift the front handle to slide the seat forward/rearward.
Seat Height – Ratchet the side handle to raise/lower the seat.
Seatback Recline – Lift the side lever to adjust the seatback.

SET FRONT-SEAT MEMORY POSITIONS

1. With the vehicle on, adjust the driver’s seat and
power outside mirrors to the desired positions.
2. Press and release the SET button on the
driver’s door.
3. Immediately press and hold button 1 or 2 until
two beeps sound. Use the button that matches
the Driver Information Center welcome mes-
sage indicating driver 1 or 2.
To store seat and power steering column posi-
tions for exiting the vehicle, repeat the steps
using the Exit button.
RECALL FRONT-SEAT MEMORY POSITIONS

Press and hold button 1, 2 or Exit until the set position is reached.
To enable the memory positions to be recalled automatically when the vehicle is
turned on/off (for exit recall, the driver’s door must be opened), go to Settings >
Vehicle > Seating Position > Seat Entry Memory and Seat Exit Memory.

CLIMATE CONTROLS
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Press the AUTO switch. The system automatically controls the fan speed, air delivery,
air conditioning and recirculation to reach the set temperature.
CLIMATE DISPLAY
Select the Climate icon on the infotainment screen to view and adjust various settings
and to synchronize (Sync) driver and passenger settings.
CLIMATE SETTINGS
Use the fan only to distribute air through the cabin without active electric heating/
cooling (Heat and A/C indicators are off) for increased efficiency.
Select Heat or A/C (Heat or A/C indicator is on) for active electric heating/cooling. This
setting uses more energy.

VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION
Many vehicle features can be turned on/off and
customized using the Settings and Controls menus
on the infotainment screen.
1. Touch Settings or Controls on the Home page.
2. Select the desired menu.
3. Select the desired feature and setting.
4. Touch Back to exit each menu.
