Before the scope is used it must be assembled
first, the scope and tripod are stored in the carry
case and should always be disassembled and
returned to the case when finished spotting.
Stand the tripod on a flat level surface, ensure
all three legs are fully open.
Position the scope onto the tripod, lining up the
securing screw (H) with the threaded hole in the
block attached to the scope body.
Before tightening the securing screw (finger tight
only), ensure the block is in line with the tripod
support platform, tighten securing screw (finger
tight only).
Stand the assembled scope on a surface
capable of supporting all three tripod feet.
Ensure all three legs are open fully, and ensure
the scope cannot fall over, as this could
damage it.
Loosen the pan lever (F) by turning the handle
anticlockwise, aim the scope at the desired
subject.
Using either eye look through the eyepiece whilst
closing the other eye and locate the subject
using the pan lever.
When you are able to see the subject in the
centre of the lens, gently lock the pan lever by
turning the handle clockwise,
(DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN).
Adjust the focus ring until the optimum view is
obtained.
Now adjust the zoom ring to the desired
magnification, sometimes it may be necessary
after adjusting the zoom to re-focus slightly using
the focus ring again.
