WIRELESS THERMOMETER
Instruction Manual
Please note: For optimum performance we would suggest placing the remote sensor in a
sheltered environment. Direct rainfall can affect the accuracy of your outdoor readings and
cause lasting damage to the device.
Contents:
1. 1 x Indoor station
2. 1 x Remote sensor
3. Instruction Manual
Functions:
lIndoor temperature
lOutdoor temperature
lMinimum/Maximum temperature
lIndoor Humidity
Quick Setup:
Please note: Use good quality Alkaline batteries and avoid using any form of
rechargeable batteries.
1. Place the batteries into the indoor receiver first, followed by the batteries
for the remote sensor.
2. Within one minute the outdoor temperature data will be displayed
indicating that the receiver has synchronized with the transmitter. You
can then place the remote sensor outdoors and set the correct time.
3. If there is no outdoor temperature reading displayed on the indoor
station, make sure the units are within range of each other and repeat
the battery installation procedure. If a key is pressed before the weather
station receives the temperature signal, it will take 10 minutes before the
receiver re-synchronizes with the outdoor sensor. If a reset is
required for the receiver or transmitter, remove the batteries and
wait 10 seconds before re-inserting the batteries to ensure a
correct reset.
Key Operation:
There are two different function modes available: ˚C/˚F mode and Min/Max
mode.
Setting Mode:
Press the ˚C/˚F key once and the temperature will switch from ˚C to ˚F. Press
the same key again to change it back.
Min/Max Mode:
Press the min/max key once and the minimum indoor and outdoor
temperatures will be displayed.
Press the min/max key again and the maximum indoor and outdoor
temperatures will be displayed.
Press the min/max key a third time and the current temperature will be
displayed.
Press and hold the Min/Max key for 2 seconds and the recorded minimum or
maximum temperature will be reset to the current indoor/outdoor temperature.
If no key is pressed for 30 seconds the unit will switch itself back to normal
display mode automatically.
Specification:
lIndoor temperature range: -20°C to +60°C
lIndoor humidity range 20%-98%
lOutdoor temperature range: -40°C to +65°C
lTemperature accuracy: +/-1.0°C
lHumidity accuracy: +/-5%
lPower requirement (indoor station): 2xAAA LR3 alkaline batteries
lPower requirement (remote sensor): 2XAAA LR3 alkaline batteries
lBattery life: 12 months for receiver (approx)
l24 months for transmitter (approx)
lTransmission frequency: 433.9MHz
lTransmission range: up to 50 meters (150 feet) in an open area
Caution:
lDo not reverse the polarity of the batteries
lDo not put the receiver close to metal
lAvoid exposing the remote sensor directly to rain
How to fix the outdoor sensor:
Note: To achieve a true temperature reading you should avoid mounting the
sensor in direct sunlight. We recommend that you mount the remote sensor
on an outside North-facing wall; obstacles such as walls, concrete, and large
metal objects will reduce the transmission range.
To wall mount the sensor, insert one correctly sized screw to the desired wall
and hang the outdoor sensor on the screw.
The outdoor sensor’s electronic components are coated with anti-humidity
resin, to protect the circuit function properly. However, the sensor is not
waterproof and exposing the sensor directly to rain should be avoided.
