TheForward/Reversehandleislocatedontheseatsupportpanel,belowandtotherightofthedriver’srightknee
(Figure8).TheForward/Reversehandlehasthreedistinctpositions:F(FORWARD),R(REVERSE),andN
(NEUTRAL).Rotatethehandletowardsthedriver(FORWARD)tooperatethevehicleintheforwarddirection,or
towardsthepassenger(REVERSE)tooperatevehicleinreverse.Whenthehandleisinthestraightupposition
(NEUTRAL),thevehiclewillnotoperate.ClubCarvehiclesoperateatreducedspeedinreverse.Thereversebuzzer
willsoundasawarningwhentheForward/ReversehandleisintheREVERSEposition.

willautomaticallyreleasetheparkbrakeandstartthevehiclemovinginthedirectionselected(forwardorreverse).As
theacceleratorpedalispressed,speedwillincreaseuntilfullspeedisreached.Whentheacceleratorisreleased,
powerwillbecutoffandthemotororenginewillstoprunning.

IQSystemvehiclesuseaspecialelectricalsystem,whichemploysmotorbrakinginsomemodesofoperation.In
thosemodes,thevehicleoperatesasfollows:
•Walk-AwayBraking:Thispreventsthevehiclefromrollingawayuncontrolledshouldthedriverparkonaslopeand
leavethevehiclewithoutlockingtheparkbrake.Thevehiclewillrollatabout1mph(1.6km/h).Ifthewalk-away
brakingfunctionremainsengagedfortwosecondsormore,awarningbuzzerwillsoundtoalertthedriverthat
motorbrakinghasbeenactivated.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Walk-Awaybrakingwillnotlimitvehiclespeedto1mph(1.6km/h)onverysteepgrades.Donot
operatevehicleonslopesexceeding20%grades.
•PedalDownMotorBraking:Thisfeaturehelpstocontrolvehicledownhillspeed.Motorbrakingisactivatedwhen
thevehiclereachestheprogrammedtopspeedandholdsthevehicleatthatspeed.Motorbrakingisautomatically
disengagedwhenvehiclespeedslowsbelowtheprogrammedtopspeed.SeefollowingWARNING.
•PedalUpMotorBraking:Whenvehiclespeedisabove11mph(17.7km/h),releasingtheacceleratorpedalwill
activatemotorbraking,whichslowsthevehiclespeed.Oncevehiclespeedslowstobelowapproximately11
mph(17.7km/h),withtheacceleratorpedalstillreleased,motorbrakingwillbedeactivatedandthevehiclewill
coastfreely.Thisfeatureisselectable.Contactyourdealer/distributortoinquireaboutthisselectablefeature.

•Whenbatteriesarefullycharged,awarningbuzzerwillsoundduringmotorbrakingtoalertthedriver
thatmotorbrakingisoperatingatareducedlevelofperformance.Whenthisoccurs,usethebrake
