(FORWARD)andR(REVERSE)positionsareclearlymarked.PresstheFORWARDsideoftheswitchtooperatethe
vehicleintheforwarddirection,orpresstheREVERSEsideoftheswitchtooperatethevehicleinreverse.Whenthe
rockerswitchispositionedinNEUTRAL,withneithersidedown,thevehiclewillnotoperateiftheacceleratorpedalis
pressed.ClubCarvehiclesoperateatreducedspeedinreverse.Thereversebuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhenthe
Forward/ReverseswitchisintheREVERSEposition.
GasolineVehicle
TheForward/Reversehandle(2)islocatedontheright-handsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure8).Thehandle
hasthreedistinctpositions:F(FORWARD),N(NEUTRAL),andR(REVERSE).Pushthehandleuptooperatethe
vehicleintheforwarddirection,orpullthehandledowntooperatethevehicleinreverse.ClubCarvehiclesoperate
atreducedspeedinreverse.ThereversebuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhentheForward/Reversehandleisin
theREVERSEposition.
Key-startvehicles:TheenginewillidlewhileintheNEUTRALposition.Theenginemustbeatidlebeforeshifting

Theheadlightswitch(3)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneltotherightofthesteeringcolumn(Figure8orFigure
7).Pressthesideoftheswitchwiththeheadlightsymboltoturntheheadlightsonandpresstheothersidetoturn
theheadlightsoff.
NOTE:Gasolinevehicles:Usingtheheadlightsforextendedperiodsoftimewithouttheenginerunning,orwiththe
engineidling,willdischargethebattery.
BATTERYWARNINGLIGHT
Electricvehiclesfeatureadashmountedwarninglight(4)(abovesteeringcolumn)that,whenthevehicleisin
operation,indicateslowbatteryvoltageor,whenthevehicleisbeingcharged,indicatesachargingproblem(Figure7).
Thebatterywarninglightiscontrolledbytheonboardcomputer.
Whenthevehicleisinoperation,thewarninglightwillilluminateandremainilluminatedif:
•Batteries’voltagedropsbelow48voltswhenthereisnoloadonthebatteries(thevehicleisstoppedandthere
arenoaccessorieson).
•Batterieshavedischargedtolessthan25%ofratedcapacity.
Ifthewarninglightcomesonwhenthevehicleisoperating,therewillbeenoughpowerremainingtodrivethevehicle
forapproximately30minutes.However,thevehicleshouldbechargedattherstopportunity.Ifthewarninglight
comesonandthevehicleisunabletooperatefor30minutes,haveyourClubCardistributor/dealercheckthevehicle
forapossiblebatteryorelectricalsystemproblem.
Whenthebatteriesreceiveanincompletechargebecause1)theDCpowercordisdisconnected,2)ACpowertothe
chargerisinterrupted,3)automaticchargershut-offoccursafter16hoursofoperation,4)thechargermalfunctions,
or5)thewrongchargerisused,thewarninglightwillindicateasfollows:
