The M button is a multi function button. A Long Press will enter the Menu Mode, a short press for the X12 or
XLE will MUTE the microphone. For the X12E, a short press will switch between Group 1 and Group 2

1. Connection/Stand-By : Twelve bars on the upper display shows connection or
stand-by .
2. User Number : displays the User Number that your device is set to.
3. Channel : means the current channel number that your belt pack is set to.
If your belt pack is the Master Belt Pack set the User Number to 01 on the display.
4. Battery : Indicates current battery level.
When the battery is running low, the battery ICON will begin blinking.

3. Volume Setting and Group Call (Long Press for Group Call for X12 or X12E).
Volume level ranges from 0 to 8. (Factory Default is 5).

User Number ranges from User 1 to User 12. User 1 is factory set as the Master Belt Pack.
Each device occupies one user number. Having two devices with the same User Number will
cause interruption in communication.

5. Channel Setting
Belt packs should be set to the same channel number for communication.
Depending on your system’s configuration, you may have multiple channels. Belt packs on
the same channel can communicate to each other..
STEP 1
The X12 belt pack can have a maximum of six talk paths (channels). Your X12
belt pack is pre-programmed depending on the number of channels that has
been purchased with your order. Channels 5 and 6 are usually reserved for the
X12M Mini Helmet Receiver. The XLE has a maximum of 2 channels.

When Rotation is turned “OFF” the channel selection will stop at the first
or last channel programmed into your belt pack. If you press the
channel selection will stop at channel 1. If you press , the channel
selection will stop at the last channel programmed into your belt pack.

When Rotation is turned “ON” the channel selection will rotate. If your
belt pack is set to the last channel and you press the belt pack will
rotate to channel 1. If you press and your belt pack is on channel
1, the belt pack will go to the last channel programmed in your belt pack.

6. Pairing (Grouping multiple belt packs to the same system)
Below pairing procedure should be done to establish communication group.
PLEASE NOTE: YOUR SYSTEM HAS ALREADY BEEN CONFIGURED. PAIRING IS NOT
NECESSARY AND NOT RECOMMENDED.
Pairing is made between the Master Belt Pack and the remaining belt packs.
Each belt pack must be set to a different user number. Belt packs can not have
the same User ID number.

If you press ‘M’ button while pairing is being processed, the pairing is canceled
and the belt packs go to stand-by mode.

7. Noise Cancel (No longer available on Version 004 or greater. Noise cancel on all firmware
versions is now automatic and changes is not recommended.

8. Beep Sound
You can turn the warning and/or button sound on or off depending on user’s preference.

10. Mic Level
You can adjust the Microphone Volume level. With this function your voice transmission is clearer
if you set it depending on your voice level. Factory default is 4.

Choose between “0” and “8”. The higher number you choose, the higher microphone
volume it transmits. “Mic Level” 0 means microphone is muted.

You can check the device’s version.

11. X12 Version only - Mode (PTT Button) can be programmed for one of two modes.
Mode 1 – Used as PTT belt packs. You can have and unlimited number of PTT belt packs.
Please note: Only one PTT user can transmit at a time. The second attempt by a PTT user
will hear three beep tones indicating that another user is using the PTT feature.
Mode 2 – Preset before leaving the factors. In this is an optional feature and is used to
communicate from the belt pack to the wireless mini helmet receiver. There are two
modes that can be programmed.
(1) An X12 belt pack can be assigned to a specific group of helmet
receivers regardless of the channel being used.
(2) A X2 belt pack can be programmed to communicate to different
groups of helmet receivers by switching channels on the X12.

12. Mic Mute
User 1~12 can mute or un-mute the microphone by (1) quickly pressing the “M” or (2),
Raising the microphone boom upwards to mute the belt pack or down to un-mute the belt
pack. The user will hear the word “Mute” when the belt pack is first muted. Users can only
listen if they mute the belt pack.

You can turn on or off the Side Tone function.
If you turn on the Side Tone, you will hear what you are saying in real time. Factory default is
Off.
13. How to reset in case of malfunction. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED. PLEASE CONTACT
CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 724-337-1400 PRIOR TO RESETTING YOUR BELT PACK.

I cannot communicate with other devices.
- Check if your device is paired with User 1 (Master Device).
- In your group, check if User 1 (Master Device) exists.

- You might be too far from User 1 to get the signal from it.

- Check if someone is using the same user number as yours.

It will degrade the performance of the belt pack, which results in serious breakdown as the
belt pack generates a strong radio wave through the antenna.
- ONLY the provided charging adapter is acceptable to use with the belt pack. DO NOT
use a third-party power adapter or the battery or belt pack may be damaged and could cause
a re or explosion of the belt pack.

- DO NOT take apart or modify this device yourself. Otherwise, this could result in a
malfunction which our warranty doesn’t cover. Also, you might be subject to a
penalty according to a relevant FCC communication law.

2. Plug in the HS-35S or HS-35D headset into the Belt Pack
3. Turn on the belt pack by holding the power button in for 2 seconds
