GENERAL INFORMATION
the burner makes a ‘hissing’sound during use,
the ame may have ashed back inside the
burner. If this occurs turn the burner off, allow
it to cool and relight it.
15. Do not allow unburnt gas to build up. Always
provide sufficient ventilation. The hose
assembly connects to the appliance with a
¼ BSP Male compression tting. It must be

a soapy water solution after each connection.
If a leak is detected the joint must be sealed
before the appliance is used.

Step 4:
1 Open the lid and put the cooking grid and cooking plate into the body.
2 Attach the handle on the lid with M6 washer, M6 split washer and M6 nut.
Step 5:
Put the side shelves on the both wing side.
Step 6:
Attach the oil box on the bottom of the body.
Step 7:
Gas connection. Connect the POL regulator to the LPG cylinder. Conduct a thorough leakage test as described in
the following section. DO NOT USE UNLESS ALL CONNECTIONS ARE GAS TIGHT.

LEAK TESTING GAS CONNECTIONS
All gas connections must be tested for leaks before each use using a soapy water solution. With the gas
cylinder turned on and the appliance controls off, drip sponge soapy water onto the gas inlet connection,
hose and cylinder connection, then look for a stream of bubbles. A stream of bubbles indicates a leak which
must be sealed before the appliance is used. NEVER use a naked ame to test for gas leaks.
Pre Lighting Checks
1. After testing for leaks and being sure that all connections are gas tight, ensure the appliance controls
and gas cylinder are turned off.
2. Find a at and stable surface to place the Gasonova Grill.
3. Make sure there is sufficient gas in the gas cylinder.
4. Ensure the burner is correctly located on the gas control.
5. Open the lid.
Lighting the Appliance
1. Open the lid. Note: Attempting to light the burner with the lid closed may cause an explosion.
2. The valve must be in the“OFF”position.
3. Turn gas supply at the cylinder “ON”
4. Push in the control knob completely (3 to 4 seconds) and rotate slowly 1/4 turn counter clockwise
until a click is heard. The burner should light. Observe the burner ame and make sure all burner ports
are alight. A blue/yellow ame should appear from the burner. If the burner does not light, turn the
control knob to “OFF” position immediately, wait 5 minutes then repeat the lighting procedure. When
the burner is alight, adjust the valve knob to the desired cooking temperature.
Manual Lighting Method
1. Insert a long lit BBQ match through the cooking grid slots, next to the rst burner port. The rst burner
port is located next to the spark electrode.
2. Push and turn control knob to “HIGH” setting. After lighting observe the burner ame, make sure
all burner ports are alight. If ignition does not take place, turn the burner control knob to the “OFF”
position. Wait ve minutes with lid open for the gas to clear before repeating the lighting procedure.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL
CURING THE CAST IRON
During manufacture the cast iron cooking surfaces were coated with a non‐toxic paint to protect them from
corrosion during storage and transport. This coating will come completely off in time. However the cooking
surface must be cured to assist with food not sticking to it. To do this, coat the cooking surface in a light
coating of inexpensive cooking oil. Turn burner to “Low” and maintain this for 20 minutes (some paint may
start to come off during this process). Turn the appliance off and allow it to cool. Clean the cooking surfaces
and the curing process is complete. This needs only to be once when the appliance is new but it may be
repeated at a later date to maintain the non‐stick properties of the cast iron surface.
CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE
The temperature of the appliance is set by adjusting the control knob between high and low ame setting.
The maximum setting for closed hood roasting is the low ame setting.
COOKING TIPS
The appliance must be warmed up before use, light the burner and allow it to operate on high for 3 – 5
minutes. When cooking meat, resist the urge to continually turn it over. For moist juicy meat, turn it once only
during cooking. Juices rise to the top of meat during cooking and then settle.
Each time meat is turned, juices are lost and the meat becomes drier. Flames sometimes occur when fat
drippings fall onto the hot surfaces in the rebox and ignite. Some aming is normal and desirable as it helps
impart the unique avours associated with grilled foods. Controlling the intensity of the ames is necessary
in order to avoid burned or unevenly cooked foods and to prevent the possibility of accidental re. Always
monitor the grill closely when cooking and turn the ame level down LOW or OFF if ames intensify.
AFTER COOKING
Turn the valve knob clockwise to the “LOCK OFF’’ position to turn off the burner, then
close the LPG Cylinder valve. While the hotplate and grill are still hot, using a long handled brush and scraper,
remove any remaining food residue and wipe any excess fat from the cooking surfaces, then coat with fresh
cooking oil for continued protection against corrosion.
CLEANING
The appliance will look better and last longer if it is kept clean. You should check the burner periodically
for any sort of blockage. Look for any blockages of the ame ports and inside the burner. If any ame ports
are blocked, use a wire brush to unblock them. If there is a blockage inside the burner, use a stiff wire or pipe
cleaner to unblock it.
A sign that there is a blockage inside the burner is if the burner is ashing back regularly. If this is occurring,
remove the burner and inspect it for a blockage. Ensure the mesh at the burner air inlet is clean and clear
of blockages such as dust, grime, spider webs, etc. This mesh must be clean to ensure safe operation of the
burner. Grease can build up inside the appliance and this can be cleaned with a hot soapy water solution.
Do not use a caustic cleaner as it will irreparably damage the appliance’s coating. The grease tray should be

emptied regularly. Never touch the grease tray when hot, always allow it to cool completely before handling.
The hotplate, grill and grease tray can be placed in the dishwasher for convenient cleaning.
STORAGE
• Do not store the appliance until it has completely cooled.
• Storage of the appliance indoors is permissible only if the LPG gas cylinder has been disconnected,
removed from the appliance and remains outdoors.
• Store the appliance in a cool dry location.
• Always disconnect the gas cylinder and store it in a safe suitable location away from naked ames and
sources of ignition. The gas cylinder must be stored vertically, never lay it on its side. Store cylinder away
from children’s reach.
• If storing the appliance outdoors it is recommended to cover it with a heavy duty cover that will protect
it from the elements.
• Keep the cooking area free from combustible materials such as fuel, ammable vapours and liquids.
ABNORMAL OPERATION
• Due to unforeseen circumstances the appliance may not operate as designed. Indications of this are
ashing back in the burner, large soft yellow ames, ames lifting extensively away from the burner and
the appliance not igniting or remaining alight. If any of these conditions occur, you should rstly check
your gas supply to ensure there is sufficient gas, no leaks and the valves are opened sufficiently for use.
If this is the case and the problem/s still persists, you will need to contact a suitably qualied authorized
person to service your appliance.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• In addition to the regular cleaning of your appliance, there is some other minor maintenance that can
be performed to ensure its longevity. Before conducting any maintenance, ensure the gas cylinder is
turned off and disconnected.
• If there are any rubber seals as part of the gas connection, check them regularly for wear or cracking
and replace as necessary.
• It is recommended that a suitably authorized and qualied person should perform a thorough
examination of the appliance at least every 5 years.
• You should ensure that any LPG cylinder you use with this appliance is within its service life.
