1. Sicherheitshinweise
Zielgruppe:
Elektrofachkräfte gem. ElexV und unter-
wiesene Personen.
❒Dieser Handscheinwerfer darf nicht in
der Zone 0 oder 20 eingesetzt werden!
❒Die auf dem Handscheinwerfer angege-
bene Temperaturklasse ist zu beachten!
❒Der Handscheinwerfer darf nur außerhalb
„explosionsgefährdeter Bereiche“ geöff-
net bzw. geladen werden!
❒Umbauten oder Veränderungen an der
Leuchte sind nicht zulässig!
❒Er ist bestimmungsgemäß in unbeschä-
digtem und einwandfreiem Zustand zu
betreiben!
❒Als Ersatz dürfen nur Originalteile von
CEAG verwendet werden!
❒Reparaturen, die den Explosionsschutz

Handscheinwerfer entsprechend der im
Abschnitt 5 genannten Anweisung gela-
den werden!
❒Leuchten mit NC-Akkumulatoren nicht
länger als 6 Monate ohne Ladung lagern!

4. Beschreibung und Anwen-
dung
Die Handleuchten HE 8 EURO und HE 8 EURO
PLUS sind durch die handliche Bauform
besonders für Kontrollgänge, Inspektions- und
Wartungsarbeiten geeignet.
Die Handleuchten bestehen aus 3 Einheiten
1. Gehäuse mit elektr. Einbau
2. Verschraubungsring mit Glasscheibe und
Reflektor
3. Batterieeinschub
Durch Drehen des Verschraubungsringes um
ca. 2 Umdrehungen (Bild 1, Pos. 2) kann das
Licht von Breitstrahl- auf Scheinwerfer-
charakteristik eingestellt werden.
Am Traggriff befindet sich ein Drehschalter mit
3 Schaltstellungen.
- EIN - AUS - EIN
Als Energiequelle wird bei der Leuchte HE 8
EURO ein Batterieeinschub für 3 Monozellen
(nicht ladbar, Zellen gehören nicht zm Lieferum-
fang) 1,5V (R20 oder LR20 IEC 86) verwendet.
Bei der Leuchte HE 8 EURO PLUS wird ein
ladbarer Batterieeinschub mit 3 NC-Zellen 4
Ah eingesetzt.
Über ein externes Steckerladegerät kann die
Leuchte HE 8 EURO PLUS geladen werden.
Der Ladestecker befindet sich bei der Leuchte
HE8 EURO PLUS auf der Rückseite des
Batterieeinschubes.
Bei der Leuchte HE 8 EURO PLUS wird durch
eine Zweifarben-LED die Restbetriebsdauer
und damit der Ladezustand der Batterie in
Schalterstellung „EIN“ kontinuierlich angezeigt:
2. Normenkonformität
Dieser explosionsgeschützte Handscheinwerfer
entspricht den Anforderungen der EN 50014,
EN 50019, EN 50020, EN 60598, den EG-Richt-
linien „Geräte und Schutzsysteme zur bestim-
mungsgemäßen Verwendung in explosions-
gefährdeten Bereichen“ (94/9/EG) und der EG-
Richtlinie „Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit“
(89/336/EWG)
Er wurde entsprechend dem Stand der Technik
und gemäß EN 29001 (ISO 9001) entwickelt,
gefertigt und geprüft.
Dieser Handscheinwerfer ist zum Einsatz in
explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen der Zone 1
und 2 gemäß EN 60079-10 geeignet.

Hinweis: Durch Verwendung des ladbaren
Batterieeinschubes kann die Handleuchte HE
8 EURO zur HE 8 EURO PLUS aufgerüstet
werden.
Die Restbetriebsdaueranzeige (LED) erfolgt nur
bei Verwendung des ladbaren Batterie-
einschubes.
5. Inbetriebnahme:
Überprüfen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme die
korrekte Funktion und den einwandfreien
Zustand der Handleuchte in Übereinstimmung
mit dieser Betriebsanleitung und anderen
zutreffenden Bestimmungen!
Die Handleuchte darf nur außerhalb
explosions gefährdeter Bereiche
geöffnet bzw. geladen werden!
Erstinbetriebnahme
Laden:
Die Handleuchte HE 8 EURO PLUS (mit
ladbarem Batterieeinsatz) darf nur mit dem
Ladegerät, Bestell Nr.: 1 1518 000 111,
geladen werden.
Das separate Laden des Batterieeinsatzes
(außerhalb der Leuchte) ist möglich.
Eine LED im Steckerladegerät zeigt die
Ladefunktion an.
Es wird nur die entnommene Energie nachge-
laden. Eine Überladung der Batterie ist
ausgeschlosssen.
Achtung: Die Batterie ist bei der Auslie-
ferung aus sicherheitstechnischen
Gründen nicht geladen!
Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme ist die Leuchte
14 Stunden zu laden.
Der Schalter der Leuchte muß dabei auf „AUS“
geschaltet werden.
Um die volle nutzbare Batteriekapazität zu
erreichen, muß die Batterie mind. 3 Lade-
Entladezyklen unterzogen werden.
Bei Temperaturen unter -5°C wird aus
elektrochemischen Gründen die Batterie nicht
geladen.
Bei Temperaturen >30°C kann aus elektroche-
mischen Gründen die Batterie nicht voll
geladen werden.
Empfehlung: Die Batterie vor der Ladung
auf Raumtemperatur (ca. 20°C) bringen.
Zelleneinbau bei der Leuchte HE 8 EURO
(Monozellen 1,5V, IEC 86, R20/LR20) gemäß
Punkt 6. Instandhaltung/Wartung.
6.Instandhaltung/Wartung
Halten Sie die für die Instandhaltung/
Wartung und Prüfung von
explosionsgeschützten Betriebsmit-
teln geltenden Bestimmungen ein! (z.B.
EN 60079-17)
Achtung: Auf Grund der Selbstentladung von
NC-Batterien sollte auch dann, wenn die
Leuchte nicht benutzt wurde, nach 4 – 6
Monaten geladen werden.
Lampenwechsel:
Der Lampenwechsel darf nur im
nicht explosionsgefährdeten Bereich
durchgeführt werden!
1. Schalten Sie die Leuchte aus und trennen
Sie ggf. den Ladestecker von der Leuchte.
2. Innensechskantschraube SW3 vorne am
Griff (Bild 1) lösen.
3. Danach den Verschraubungsring durch
Linksdrehung entfernen (Bild 2).
4. Entnehmen Sie die Lampe aus der
Bajonett-Fassung (I, Bild 1) (Drücken und
Linksdrehen).
5. Einbau der neuen Lampe und Verschließen
der Leuchte in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Hinweis: In der Fassung sind für die Lampe zur
Fokussierung 3 Raststellungen vorhanden.
Achtung: Innensechskantschraube
auf festen Sitz überprüfen.
Batteriewechsel:
Der Batteriewechsel darf nur im
nicht explosionsgefährdeten
Bereich durchgeführt werden!
Vorsicht: Keine Leitungen quetschen!
Batteriewechsel HE 8 EURO
1. Schalten Sie die Leuchte aus.
2. Innensechskantschraube SW3 hinten im
Batterieeinschub (Bild 2, Pos 1) lösen und
den Batterieeinsatz entnehmen.
3. Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Batterieein-
satzes (Bild 2, Pos. 3, Schraube kann mit
einer Münze geöffnet werden) und
entnehmen Sie die Zellen.
4. Beim Einsetzen der neuen Zellen achten
Sie auf richtige Polarität (Bild 3, Hinweis
am Batterieeinschub).
5. Verschließen Sie die Leuchte in umgekehr-
ter Reihenfolge.
Empfehlung: Verwenden Sie Batterien
gleichen Herstelldatums.
Achtung: Innensechskantschraube
auf festen Sitz überprüfen.
Hinweis: Beachten Sie bei der Entsorgung
die nationalen Abfallbeseitigungsvor-
schriften.
Batteriewechsel HE 8 EURO PLUS
1. Schalten Sie die Leuchte aus und trennen
Sie ggf. den Ladestecker von der Leuchte.
2. Innensechskantschraube SW3 hinten im
Batterieeinschub (Bild 1 u. 2) lösen und
den Batterieeinsatz entnehmen.
3. Neuen Batteriesatz einsetzen und in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge verschließen.
Achtung: Innensechskantschraube
auf festen Sitz überprüfen.
4. Laden nach Punkt 5. Inbetriebnahme.
Hinweis: Beachten Sie bei der Entsorgung
die nationalen Abfallbeseitigungsvor-
schriften. Kunststoffmaterialien sind mit
Materialkennzeichnungen versehen.

4. Description and application:
The handy shape of the HE 8 EURO and HE 8
EURO PLUS handlamps renders them
particularly suitable for inspection and
maintenance duties as well as for security
patrols.
The handlamps are composed of three units:
1. Housing including the electrical insert
2. Bezel ring with protective glass and
reflector
3. Battery insert
By turning the bezel ring about two times
(fig. 2, item 2), the light can be focussed from
wide beam to spot light.
A rotary switch with three switch positions is
located on the carrying handle.
- ON - OFF - ON
The HE 8 EURO lamp is powered by a battery
insert composed of 3 x 1.5 V dry batteries
(R20 or LR20 IEC 86, not rechargeable, the
batteries are not included in our extent of
delivery).
The HE 8 EURO PLUS lamp is fitted with a
rechargeable battery insert composed of
3 x 4 Ah NiCd accumulators.
The HE 8 EURO PLUS lamp can be charged
by means of a separate plug-in charger.
The charging plug of the HE 8 EURO PLUS
lamp is located on the back of the battery
insert.
2. Conformity with standards
This explosion protected portable searchlight
meets the requirements of EN 50014, EN
50019, EN 50020, EN 60598, the EC directive
"Equipment and protective systems intended
for use in potentially explosive atmospheres"
94/9 EC and “Electromagnetic compatibility”
(89/336/EEC).
It has been designed, manufactured and
tested according to the state of the art and to
EN 29001 (ISO 9001).
This portable searchlight is suitable for use in
zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas acc. to IEC 60079-10.

A two-colour LED on the HE 8 EURO PLUS
continuously indicates the available duration
and thus the battery’s charging state in switch
position “ON”:
LED green: available duration > 75%
LED red: available duration 25..75 %
LED off: available duration < 25 %
Note: By the use of the rechargeable battery
insert, the HE 8 EURO handlamp can be
converted into an HE 8 EURO PLUS model.
The indication of the available duration (LED)
only functions, if the rechargeable battery
insert is used.
5. Taking into operation
Prior to taking the lamp into operation, check
its correct functioning and perfect condition in
accordance with these operating instructions
and other applicable regulations!
The handlamp may be opened or charged
only outside of hazardous areas!
Initial use:
Charging alternatives:
The HE 8 EURO PLUS portable lamp
(including rechargeable battery set) may only
be charged with the aid of the charger order
ref. 1 1518 000 111.
The battery insert can be recharged separate
from the lamp
An LED on the plug-in charger indicates the
charging function.
Only as much energy is recharged as has been
used.
The battery is protected against overcharge.
Mind: For safety reasons, the battery is
delivered uncharged!
Prior to initial use, the lamp must be charged
for 14 h, with the lamp switch in “OFF”
position.
The whole useful battery capacity will only be
obtained after the battery has been submitted
to at least 3 charging/discharging cycles.
For electrochemical reasons the battery will
absorb no charge at temperatures below -5°C.
At temperatures >30°C, a full charge of the
battery will not be possible for electrochemical
reasons.
Recommendation: Prior to charging, the
battery should be kept so as to have room
temperature (apx. 20°C).
The dry batteries for the HE 8 EURO lamp
(1.5V, IEC 86, R20/LR20 monocells) are to be
installed in accordance with point 6.
Maintenance/Servicing.
6. Maintenance/Servicing
As far as the maintenance, servicing and
test of electrical apparatus for explosive
atmospheres are concerned, the
respective national regulations in
conjunction with the relevant standards
will be applicable!
Mind: Because of the NiCd batteries’ self-
discharge, these should be recharged every
4 to 6 months even if the lamp has not been
used.
Lamp replacement:
Lamp replacement may only be
performed in a non-hazardous area!
1. Switch off the lamp and, where appropriate,
pull the charging plug out of the lamp.
2. Unscrew the hexagon socket head screw
SW3 on the front of the handle (fig. 2).
3. Then remove the bezel ring by turning it left
(fig. 2).
4. Lift the bulb out of the bayonet holder (press
and turn left).
5. Fit in the new bulb and close the lamp in
inverse order.
Note: In the holder there are provided 3 lock-in
positions for focussing the bulb.
Mind: Check the firm fit of the hexagon
socket head screw.
Battery replacement:
Battery replacement may only be
performed in a non-hazardous area!
Caution: Do not squeeze leads!
HE 8 EURO battery replacement
1. Switch off the lamp.
2. Unscrew the hexagon socket head screw
SW3 on the back of the battery insert (fig. 2
item 1) and remove the battery set.
3. Open the cover of the battery set (fig. 2,
item 3, screw to be unscrewed with a coin)
and remove the dry batteries.
4. Mind the proper polarity when fitting in the
new dry batteries (indication on the battery
insert).
5. Close the lamp in inverse order.
Recommendation: Use batteries of the same
date of manufacture.
Mind :Check the tight fit of the
hexagon socket head screw.
Note: Observe the national regulations on
waste disposal, when disposing of the
batteries.
HE 8 EURO PLUS battery replacement
1. Switch off the lamp and, where appropriate,
pull the charging plug out of the lamp.
2. Unscrew the hexagon socket head screw
SW3 on the back of the battery insert (fig. 2
item 1) and remove the battery set.
3. Fit in the new battery set and close in
inverse order (fig. 3).
Mind: Check the tight fit of the
hexagon socket head screw.
4. Charge the lamp in accordance with point
5. "Taking into operation".
Note: Observe the national regulations on
waste disposal when disposing of the
batteries. The plastic materials are
marked with the relevant labels.

projecteur doit être respectée.
❒Le projecteur portatif ne doit être ouvert
ou chargé qu’en dehors «d’une

❒Le projecteur portatif ne doit être utilisé
que pour la fonction qui lui est dévolue
et qu’en parfait état de service!
❒Pour le remplacement des pièces,
seules des pièces de rechange d’origine
CEAG sont admises!
❒ Des réparations qui peuvent être nuisibles
à son mode de protection contre
l’explosion, ne doivent être effectuées que
par CEAG ou par un «électricien» qualifié,
et doivent ensuite être vérifiées par un
«expert»!
❒Avant la première mise en service, le
projecteur portatif doit être chargé selon
les instructions données sous point 6!
❒Ne pas stocker des lampes aux
accumulateurs cadmium nickel plus de
6 mois sans les recharger!

4. Description et utilisation
Grâce à leur construction maniable, les lampes
portatives HE 8 EURO et HE 8 EURO PLUS
correspondent en particulier aux nécessités
des services de surveillance et de contrôle
ainsi que des travaux d’entretien.
Les lampes portatives sont composées de 3
ensembles):
1. Boîtier avec installation électrique
2. Bague de serrage avec verre protecteur et
réflecteur
3. Bloc batterie embrochable
En tournant la bague de serrage env. 2 fois
(fig. 1 et 2, pos. 2), la lumière diffusée peut être
changée en lumière ponctuelle.
Un interrupteur rotatif avec 3 positions de
commutations est disposé sur la poignée.
- Marche - Arrêt - Marche
La source d’énergie de la lampe HE 8 EURO
est constituée d’un bloc batterie embrochable
pour 3 piles 1,5 V (R20 ou LR20 CEI 86) (non
rechargeable; les piles ne sont pas incluses
dans notre fourniture).
La lampe HE 8 EURO PLUS est équipée d’un
bloc batterie embrochable composé de 3
accus cadmium nickel de 4 Ah.
Elle peut être chargée à l’aide un chargeur
enfichable.
La fiche de charge de la lampe HE 8 EURO
PLUS est disposée sur le dos du bloc batterie
embrochable.
2. Conformité avec les normes
Ce projecteur portatif pour atmosphère
explosive est conforme aux exigences des
normes EN 50014, EN 50019 et EN 50020, EN
60598 ainsi qu’à la directive CE sur «La

La lampe HE 8 EURO PLUS est dotée d’une
diode luminescente bicolore qui indique d’une
façon continue l’autonomie encore disponible
ainsi que l’état de charge de la batterie, si
l’interrupteur se trouve en position «MARCHE»:
LED verte: Autonomie résiduelle >75 %
LED rouge: Autonomie résiduelle 25 - 75 %
LED éteinte: Autonomie résiduelle >25 %
Note: En employant le bloc batterie rechargea-
ble, la lampe portative HE 8 EURO peut être
transformée en un modèle HE 8 EURO PLUS.
L’indication de l’autonomie résiduelle (LED) ne
fonctionne qu’avec l’emploi du bloc batterie
rechargeable.
5. Mise en service:
Avant de mettre la lampe portative en service,
vérifiez son fonctionnement correct et son bon
état de service en conformité avec ce mode
d’emploi et avec d’autres règlements y
applicables!
La lampe portative ne doit être ouverte
ouchargée qu’en dehors d’une
atmosphère explosive!
Première mise en service:
Charge:
La lampe HE 8 EURO PLUS (avec bloc batterie
rechargeable) ne doit être chargée qu’ à l’aide
du chargeur No. 1 1518 000 111.
Le bloc batterie peut être rechargé sans qu’il
soit installé dans la lampe.
Une LED dans le chargeur enfichable indique
le fonctionnement en charge.
La lampe n’est rechargée qu’avec la quantité
d’énergie qui était prélevée auparavant.
Une surcharge de la batterie est excluse.
Attention: Pour des raisons de sécurité,
la batterie est fournie non chargée!
Avant la première mise en service, il faut
charger la lampe pour 14 heures.
L’interrupteur de la lampe doit être mis en
position «ARRET» pour que la lampe soit
chargée.
La batterie doit être soumise à au moins 3
cycles de charge et de décharge afin d’obtenir
la pleine capacité de batterie utile.
Pour des raisons électrochimiques, la batterie
n’absorbe pas de charge en cas de températu-
res au-dessous de -5°C.
En cas de températures >30°C, la batterie ne
peut être chargée à plein pour des raisons
électrochimiques.
Recommandation: Prenez soin de ce que la
batterie prenne une température ambiante
d’env. 20°C avant la charge.
La mise en place des piles dans la lampe HE 8
EURO (piles de 1,5V, CEI 86, R20/LR20) se fait
selon point 6. Entretien/Réparation.
6. Entretien/Réparation
En ce qui concerne l’entretien, le test et
la réparation des appareils électriques
pour atmosphère explosive, les
règlements nationaux y applicables ainsi
que les règles de la technique
généralement reconnues doivent être
respectés!
Attention: Dû à l’autodécharge des batteries
cadmium nickel, celles-ci devraient être
chargées après 4 à 6 mois, même si la lampe
n’a pas été en service.
Remplacement de l’ampoule:
Le remplacement de l’ampoule ne
doit être effectué que dans une
atmosphère non-explosive!
1. Éteindre la lampe portative et, le cas
échéant, tirer la fiche de charge de la lampe.
2. Desserrer la vis à six pans creux SW3 en
tête de la poignée (fig. 1).
3. Enlever la bague de serrage en la tournant
à gauche (fig.2).
4. Sortir l’ampoule de la douille à baïonnette
(en la pressant et tournant à gauche).
5. Mise en place de l’ampoule neuve et
fermeture de la lampe en ordre inverse.
Note: La douille est munie de 3 positions de
crantage pour la mise au point de l’ampoule.
Attention: Vérifier que la vis à six
pans creux soit bien serrée.
Remplacement de la batterie:
Le remplacement de la batterie ne
doit être effectué que dans une
atmosphère non-explosive! Attention:
Ne pas serrer de fils!
Remplacement de la batterie HE 8 EURO
1. Éteindre la lampe.
2. Desserrer la vis à six pans creux SW3 à
l’arrière du bloc batterie embrochable (fig.
1) et sortir les piles.
3. Ouvrir le couvercle du bloc batterie (fig. 2,
pos. 3, la vis peut être desserrée au moyen
d’une pièce) et sortir les piles.
4. Lors d’installer des piles neuves, veiller à
la propre polarité (indication sur le bac du
bloc batterie embrochable).
5. Fermer la lampe en ordre inverse.
Recommandation: N’utiliser que des piles
portant la même date de fabrication.
Attention: Vérifier que la vis à six
pans creux soit bien serrée.
Note: Quant à l’enlèvement des déchets,
veuillez respecter la règlementation nationale
en vigueur!
Remplacement de la batterie HE 8 EURO
PLUS
1. Éteindre la lampe et, le cas échéant, tirer la
fiche de charge de la lampe.
2. Desserrer la vis à six pans creux SW3 à
l’arrière du bloc batterie embrochable (fig.
2, pos.1) et sortir le jeu d’accus.
3. Monter le nouveau jeu d’accus et fermer le
bac en ordre inverse (fig. 3).
Attention: Vérifier que la vis à six
pans creux soit bien serrée.
4. La charge se fait selon point 5. Mise en
service.
Note: Quant à l’enlèvement des déchets,
veuillez respecter la règlementation nationale
en vigueur!
