ID PLATFORM IS EQUIPPED WITH A 5 POINTS MULTITOUCH GFF SENSOR TYPE.
•Do not allow the touchscreen to come into contact with other electrical devices.
•Electrostatic discharges can cause the touchscreen to malfunction.
•To avoid damaging the touchscreen, do not tap it with anything sharp or apply excessive pressure to it with your
fingertips.
•The device may not recognize touch inputs close to the edges of the screen, which are outside of the touch input area.
•It is recommended to use fingers or dedicated touch stylus when using the touchscreen.

Setting up your device
CAUTION
ID Platform FAP20 can accommodate only one type of removable battery.
Charge the BATTERY
1. 12.600 mAh battery should be charged ONLY with the charger provided.Damage occurring when using another
charger will not be covered by the warranty.
2. Charge the battery using the COPPERNIC charger:
§Insert the DC Power Jack plug into the ID Platform tablet as shown into the connector with the flat part facing up:

•Battery charge is using QUALCOMM patented Quick charge algorithm.
•Charging current can be up to 5A but will depend on battery state of charge and device temperature.Hot
environment or extensive operation may slow down the charge.

MICRO SD card installation
NOTE
Micro SD cards up to 256GB can be used with the ID Platform (not included)
•To insert the Micro SD card, open the side door.
•Insert carefully the Micro SD card into the slot as shown with the gold contacts facing up.
•Insert the memory card all the way until you hear a locking sound.
•To remove the Micro SD card, push against the edge of the memory card and release it softly.

MICRO SIM card installation
•Switch off the tablet.
•To insert the Micro SIM card (SIM1), open the side door.
•Insert carefully the Micro SIM card into the slot as shown with the gold contacts facing up.
•Insert the Micro SIM card all the way until you hear a locking sound.
•To remove the Micro SIM card, push against the edge of the card and release it softly.
NOTE
The SAM slot could be used for a second SIM card (SIM2)

MICRO SAM installation
•To insert the Micro SAM, open the side door.
•Insert carefully the Micro SAM into the slot as shown with the gold contacts facing up.
•Insert the Micro SAM all the way until you hear a locking sound.
•To remove the Micro SAM, push against the edge of the card and release it softly.
•Then, install the dedicated applications to use this Secure Element.

Audio
•Wired headset (microphone + stereo earpieces) can be used with the ID Platform.
•Headset with CTIA 3.5mm jack should be used.
•ID Platform is also compatible with any type of wireless BT 4.x accessories.

Using your device
TURNING ON | TURNING OFF your device
Power On | Press and hold during 3 sec. the power button.
Power Off | Press and hold during 3 sec. the power button and select “Power off” in the dialog box.
Reboot | Press and hold during 3 sec. the power button and select “Reboot” in the dialog window to restart the device.
Suspend Mode | Press and release the power button to place the device in suspend mode. The display will be off
and go into a low power state to save battery power.
Reset | Press and hold the power button during 13 sec.

USB Communication Management
The ID Platform is equipped with 1x USB communication port internally switched to manage different peripherals:
-USB Expansion (for FAP20 peripheral)
-USB type A host connector
-USB type C for service port
The USB for internal peripherals and external USB-A are the USB lines with the high priority level.
USB-C service port is not available when an internal peripheral or USB-A is turned on.
To manage the USB communication, please use the ConfigureDev application and enable/disable the required options:

Using your device
DATA CAPTURE | photos & videos
Use the rear camera to take photos and capture video.
1. Go to Home Screen > select “Camera” > Tap camera icon or screen to take a picture/switch to video icon and tap for
video recording.
2. Using the rear or the front camera to take photos and capture video.
NOTE
Ensure device memory or extend Micro SD card space is available.
DATA CAPTURE | NFC & biometrics
NOTE
The USB for internal peripherals and external USB-A is the USB line with the high priority level.
USB-C service port is not available when an internal peripheral or USB-A is turned on.

Battery Information
Use only COPPERNIC approved batteries.
When devices are stored over six (6) months without use, some irreversible deterioration in overall battery quality may occur.Store
devices at half of full charge in adry, cool place.When storing devices for one year or longer, the charge level of battery should be
verified at least once ayear and charged to half of full charge.
Battery Safety
1. The area in which the units are charged should be clear of debris and combustible materials or chemicals. Particular
care should be taken where the device is charged in a non-commercial environment.
2. Follow battery usage, storage, and charging guidelines found in the user guide.
3. Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other hazard.
4. To charge the device battery, the battery and charger temperature must be between 0°C~+45°C.
5. Do not use incompatible batteries and chargers. Use of an incompatible battery or charger may present a risk of fire,
explosion, leakage, or the hazard.
6. Do not disassemble or open, crush, bend or deform, puncture, or shred the device.
7. Severe impact from dropping any battery-operated device on a hard surface could cause the battery to overheat.
8. Do not short circuit a battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to contact the battery terminals.
9. Do not modify or remanufacture, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, immerse or expose to water or other
liquids, or expose to fire, explosion, or other hazard.
10. Do not leave or store the equipment in or near areas that might get very hot, such as in a parked vehicle or near a
radiator or other heat source. Do not place battery into a microwave oven or dryer.
11. Battery usage by children should be supervised.
12. Please follow local regulations to promptly dispose of used re-chargeable batteries.
13. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
14. Seek medical advice immediately if a battery has been swallowed. In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid
to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with large amounts of water
and seek medical advice.
