Thank you for purchasing a Voigtlander product. The Voigtlander X-mount series
is an interchangeable lens designed exclusively for X-mount which covers the
APS-C frame size. The optical system is optimized to meet the specications of a
digital image sensor.
This product features manual focus and mechanical interlocking manual
apertures. The data communication functions using electronic contacts * 1 and
reect the lens data in the Exif information.
It also has a built-in distance encoder, so you can make images using the focus
check function and the distance index bar. It further supports models equipped
with an in-body image stabilization function.

Tips for lens care and safety
If the user ignores this warning and uses the equipment
incorrectly, serious injuries and even death may be the result.

Never look directly at the sun with a telephoto lens as this
can damage your eyes.
Keep the lens, camera and accessories out of the reach of

Store the lens away from direct sunlight and always store
the lens with lens-cap on. Failure to do so may create a re

Precautions for use
This product is equipped with electronic contacts, but there are restrictions on
certain functions that the cameras can perform.Please check the URL (QR code
below) for models that support electronic data communications.
This product is intended to be used with the X-mount camera body.
Please note that using it in conbination with teleconverters, mount adapters,
macro adapters, and other accessories, may cause problems.
Never touch the lens surface. In case it is dirty or dusty use commercially available
lens cleaners or an appropriate lens cleaning cloth.

● How to attach/detach the lens
Please refer to the instruction manual for your camera for how to attach/detach
the lens.
* Please make sure to set the power of the camera to “OFF”.
Please hold the Depth of Field Scale ⑪ to attach/detach the lens. If you attach/
detach the lens while holding other parts of the lens barrel it may damage the
lens.
● Attaching Lens Hood
Attach the lens hood by lining up the white dot on the
lens hood ① with the aperture indicator mark ⑨ and
then turn the lens hood clockwise until it stops.
Remove the lens hood by rotating it anticlockwise.
The lens hood can also be attached in the reverse
position to improve portability.
● Attaching Filter
Screw the lter (Ø62mm) to the front of the lens.

By setting the camera body as below, you can shoot using the functions of
the lens and body. For details on camera body settings, refer to the instruction
manual of the camera you are using.
1. Electronic communication compatible models
*When using with an electronic communication compatible model, if the camera rmware is not
current, the performance of this product may not be fully utilized, or some functions may be limited,
so please use the latest version of the camera's rmware.
1-1. Aperture display setting (change from T value to F value)
The aperture value display is set to "T value" by the initial setting on the camera
body. By changing the "T value" to "F value", you may use the same numerical
value as the aperture value displayed on this product.
Even if the aperture setting is left as "T value", the Exif display will always be
displayed as the "F value".
1-2. Depth of eld scale setting (change to lm standard reference)
By setting the depth of eld scale of the camera body to "Film reference", the
depth scale engraved on this product, and the depth range displayed, on the
body will match.

2. Models that do not support electronic communications
When using with a model that does not support electronic communications,
set [Release without lens] to "ON" in the camera settings.

1. Exif Data
Image le can store the Exif data of lens.

2. Focus check
When [Focus Check] on the camera body is "ON", the live view
display can be automatically enlarged when the focus ring is
rotated. You may exit this mode by pressing the shutter button
halfway down.
3. Distance display
When the focus ring is rotated, a numerical guideline for the
distance to the focus position is displayed on the screen.
*In the camera body settings, you can switch “ON” and “OFF” of [distance index during
MF] and adjust MF assist. For details, please refer to the instruction manual of the
camera you are using.

4. Image stabilization
This lens supports the "camera shake" correction function.
*The "camera shake" correction function can be switched "ON / OFF" by the appropriate
setting on the camera body.
For more details, please refer to the instruction manual of your camera.
