DIFFICULT STARTING OR
STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE
The engine may be flooded if it has not
startedafter 10 pulls. Rooded engines
can be cleared of excess fuel with the
follovAngprocedure:

•Verifythat the On/Stop switchis inthe
ON position. - :
•Pushchoke knob tothe OFF position.

Begin cuttingwith the saw frame
against the log.
Keep the engine at full speed the
entire time you are cutting.
•Allowthe chainto cut for you. Exert
onlylight _lownward pressure.
•Release'the_throttlerigger as soon
asthe cut Is completed, allowingthe
engineto Idle. If you runthe saw at
fullthrottlewithouta cuffingload,
unnecessarywear can occur.
•Toavoid losingcontrolwhen cut is
complete, donot put pressure on
saw at end of cut.
•Stopenginebeforesettingsaw down.
TREE FELLING TECHNIQUES
