missing)nutsandbolts,Securelytighten(or replace)all hardware

Cleaning The Reduction Chamber
WARNING:TheimpelleFs shredder blade and chipper
bladesare sharp. Wearleather work gloves to protect
your hands whencleaning out the reduction chamber.
If thereductionchamberbecomescloggedwithdebris,theshredder
screencanbepivotedupwardsothatyoucancleanthesurrounding
area.Todo so,proceedasfollows:
1, Stopengine,disconnectsparkplug,and makecertainthechipper
shredderhascometoa completestop,

hot if the engine has been running. Usecaution and
protest your handsif working nearthe muffler.
2, a, If attached,removedebrisbag,Removethetwo wingknobson
eithersideofthechutedeflectorandpivotthechutedeflector
upward,SeeFigure8,
b, Removethehairpinclipfromtheclevispinwhichextends
throughthehousingandshredderscreen,SeeFigure8,
Removeclevispin,
c, Pivottheshredderscreenupwardandcleanthesurrounding
areabyscrapingawaydebris,
3, Confirmthatthesparkplugwireisdisconnectedandawayfrom
sparkplug,PuNon thestarterropetwo-to-threetimesto purgeany
remainingdebrisfromthereductionchamber

shredderhascometo acompletestop,
2, Pivottheshredderscreenupwardasinstructedundertheheading
CleaningtheReductionChamber,
3, a, Removethechipperchutebyremovingthreehexnutsand
washerswhichsecureittotheimpellerhousing,SeeFigure9,
• Rotatetheimpellerbyhanduntiloneofthetwochipperbladesis
visiblethroughtheimpellerhousingopening,
b, Removethebladebyremovingtheinternalhexscrews,lock
washersand hexnutswhichsecureittotheimpeller,
NOTE:Usea 3/16"hexkey(Allen)wrenchontheoutsideoftheblade
anda 1/2"box(orsocket)wrenchon theinsideofthe impeller,Hold
theAllenwrenchstationaryandrotatethe box(orsocket)wrenchto
loosenthenut.
4, Installa replacement(orsharpened)blade(PartNo,742:0544A)
withthehardwareremovedearlier,
IMPORTANT:Ifsharpeningtheblade,protecthandsbyusinggloves,
Followtheoriginalangleofgrindandmakesureto removeanequal
amountfromeachblade,
5, Toreplacetheotherblade,rotatetheimpellertoexposethesecond
bladeandrepeatthestepsabove,
