Medion wa ants that the p oduct accompanied by this limited wa anty is f ee f om
manufactu ing defects in mate ial o wo kmanship fo a pe iod of 12 months f om the
date of o iginal pu chase. This wa anty only applies to the o iginal pu chase of the
p oduct. The limited wa anty pe iod also applies to any implied wa anties that may
exist unde applicable law. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied
wa anty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

In no event shall Medion o any of its dist ibuto s o eselle s be liable fo incidental,
indi ect o consequential damages elating to the p oduct (including any epai ed p oduct

HOW IT WO KS
The body fat scale MD 40763 displays the pe centage of body fat in elation to the total
body weight.
The elect odes unde the standing platfo m send out a mild, safe elect ical cu ent to
measu e the elect ical esistance of the body. Lean muscle has a lowe esistance than
fat and this can be co elated with body weight. The built-in compute uses this info mation
along with you gende , height, and age to compute the pe centage of the of body fat.
The scale has up to 12 memo y slots, allowing it to be used by eve yone in the family
without ente ing pe sonal data eve y time. The built-in mic o-chip gives a eading within
15 seconds.

SAFETY INST UCTIONS
Please obse ve the following safety inst uctions ca efully befo e putting the unit into
ope ation. Take note of the wa nings in this manual.
If you sell o pass on the p oduct, make su e to include this manual togethe with
the unit.
Do not let children use electrical devices unattended.
Swallowing batte ies may be fatal. The efo e always keep the unit and batte ies inaccessible
to young child en. If a batte y has been swallowed, consult a docto immediately.
General instructions
Place the scale on an even floo .
Do not keep the scale in a ve tical position.
Do not load the scale when not measu ing you weight.
Do not expose the scale to humidity.
Do not step on the scale with wet feet o body. Do not stand off-cente on the weighing
su face.
Do not use the scale when the unit o the glass su face a e damaged.
If the scale will not be used fo a long pe iod of time, emove the batte ies.
To clean the unit, only use a moistened, soft cloth. Do not apply chemical solvents o cleaning
agents, as they may damage the su face and/o labelling of the unit.
Body fat measuring
The following pe sons should not apply the body fat measu ing function of the scale:
- p egnant women
- pe sons with pace-make s
- pe sons with a high feve
- pe sons with swollen feet/legs o edemas
- pa ticula ly hyd ated o de-hyd ated pe sons
The body fat measu ing function is not designed fo child en unde 10.

A ce tain amount of body fat is essential fo a healthy body.
A thin pe son can have too high a pe centage of body fat, and an ove weight
pe son might be pa ticula ly muscula and have a healthy amount of body fat.
The eading fo you body fat pe centage may change th oughout the day,
especially if the amount of wate in you body changes. Alcohol, caffeine, st enuous
exe cise, illness, and menst uation a e some common causes of fluctuations in
the amount of wate in you body. We ecommend that you ave age eadings
ove seve al days to come up with a body fat pe centage baseline. This will help
compensate fo fluctuations. Also, using you body fat scale at the same time each
day will help you to achieve consistent eadings.

MEASU ING BODY FAT
Fo measu ing body fat, you have to step on the scale ba efoot.
You feet must be d y.
Stand on the oute platfo ms, unde which the elect odes a e placed.
Do not bend you knees, and keep you legs apa t and st aight when standing on
the scale.
Setting the memory
P ess the ON button to tu n the unit on. The LCD display b iefly shows HELO/8888; then
HELO/0.0.
P ess the SET button. The display shows a flashing 1.
If you wish to use this memo y slot, p ess the SET button again in o de to ente you
pe sonal data (see below).
To select a diffe ent memo y slot (2 12), p ess the UP button until the numbe of
the slot you would like to use is displayed, then p ess the SET button to ente you
pe sonal data.
Entering the personal data
Afte the memo y slot has been selected, a symbol fo Female o Male is displayed.
Select you gende with UP o DOWN.
P ess SET to confi m.
Now, HEIGHT flashes in the display .
P ess UP o DOWN epeatedly in o de to ente you height.
P ess SET to confi m.
Now, AGE appea s in the display.
P ess UP o DOWN epeatedly in o de to ente you age.
P ess SET to confi m.
Wait until 0.0 appea s in the display. Stand on the scale as desc ibed above.
In the lowe field of the display, you body weight is shown fi st.
Remain standing on the scale fo a few seconds. While the body fat is being measu ed,
the display oooo will g adually fade out. Afte a few mo e seconds, the body fat pe centage
FAT ... % appea s in the display.
In o de to access you memo y slot, p ess and hold the ON button. The display will cycle
th ough the memo y slots. When it eaches the memo y slot that holds you pe sonal data,
immediately elease the ON button. The ente ed pe sonal data will b iefly be displayed.
When the display shows 0.0, step on the scale to measu e you weight and body fat
pe centage.
OPE ATION
INSE TING BATTE IES
Fou batte ies 1.5 V, R03, size AAA, a e included.
To inse t the batte ies, open the doo of the batte y compa tment at the bottom of the unit.
Inse t the batte ies, obse ving the pola ity (+/ ).
When LO appea s in the display, the batte ies must be eplaced.
Battery disposal
Used batte ies a e not household efuse. Empty batte ies must be disposed of at
designated disposal/ ecycle points.
SELECTING SCALE UNITS
You can select diffe ent scale units with the switch on the back of the unit:
- lb: diplays the scale unit in pound and inches ;
- kg: displays the scale unit in kilog amm (kg) and centimet es (cm);
- st-lb: displays the scale unit in stone - pound and inches;
The unit is facto y set to lb/inch.
MEASU ING WEIGHT
If necessa y, select the desi ed scale unit (see above).
P ess the button ON to tu n the scale on. The LCD display b iefly shows HELO/8888;
then HELO/0.0.
Step on the scale within app . 10 seconds; you weight appea s in the display.
If the scale is not used fo app . 10 seconds afte displaying 0.0, it tu ns off automatically.
