Toujours suivre les consignes de sécurité lors de l’utilisation
de cet appareil an d’éviter tout risque de blessure ou de
dommage à l’appareil. Cet appareil doit être réservé aux
utilisations décrites dans le mode d’emploi. L’utilisation
incorrecte de l’appareil peut provoquer des blessures.

Sécurité électrique
• Vérier que la tension à utiliser correspond à la tension de
l’appareil; celle-ci est indiquée en dessous du socle.
• Cet appareil n’est pas destiné à être contrôlé au moyen d’une
minuterie externe ou d’un système de commande à distance.
• Débrancher l’appareil lorsqu’il est laissé sans surveillance,
avant de l’assembler, de le démonter ou de le nettoyer.
• Ne jamais tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation pour débrancher
l’appareil.
• Toujours s’assurer d’avoir les mains sèches avant de toucher
le cordon d’alimentation ou de retirer la che de la prise de
courant.
Sécurité générale
• Veiller à ce que l’ensemble des éléments d’emballage ainsi
que les étiquettes et autocollants promotionnels soient
retirés de l’appareil avant la première utilisation.
• Vérier que l’appareil ne présente pas de traces apparentes
de dommages avant son utilisation. Ne pas utiliser l’appareil
s’il est endommagé ou s’il est tombé. En cas de dommage
ou de défaillance technique, prendre contact avec le
service à la clientèle de Cuisinart (consulter le chapitre
« Garantie internationale », page 70) pour de plus amples
informations.
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil si le câble d’alimentation est
endommagé. Si l’appareil est endommagé, cesser
immédiatement de l’utiliser. Prendre contact avec le
service à la clientèle de Cuisinart (consulter le chapitre
« Garantie internationale », page 70).
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil pour tout autre usage que celui

auquel il est destiné.
• Ne poser aucun objet sur l’appareil lorsqu’il fonctionne ou
qu’il est chaud.
• Ne pas utiliser les pièces et accessoires fournis avec l’appareil
pour tout autre usage que celui recommandé par Cuisinart.
• Ne pas placer l’appareil sur ou près d’un brûleur électrique ou
à gaz chaud ni dans un four chaud.

• Éteindre et débrancher l’appareil après utilisation.
• Débrancher l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé et avant de le
nettoyer. Laisser refroidir complètement l’appareil avant le
montage ou le démontage des pièces et avant le nettoyage.
AVERTISSEMENT : les sachets en polyéthylène
entourant l’appareil ou l’emballage peuvent être
dangereux. Pour éviter tout danger de suocation,
conserver ces sachets hors de la portée des bébés et

4. UTILISATION
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Avant d’utiliser votre cafetière pour la première fois, assurez-vous que tout le matériel d’emballage
a été retiré et nettoyez soigneusement toutes les pièces (voir chapitre Nettoyage et entretien).

B. RÉGLAGE DE L’HORLOGE
Lorsque l’appareil est branché, l’écran ache 12:00. Maintenez le bouton « Hour » ou « Min » enfoncé
jusqu’à ce que les chires clignotent. Appuyez ensuite sur les boutons « Hour » et « Min » pour faire
déler les chires et régler l’heure. Lorsque les chires cessent de clignoter, l’heure est réglée.
L’horloge peut être réglée selon un achage de 24 heures.
C. RÉGLAGE DE LA PROGRAMMATION
Maintenez le bouton « Prog » enfoncé jusqu’à ce que le voyant bleu s’allume et que l’écran LCD
ache 12:00, pour démarrer la programmation. L’heure souhaitée peut être réglée en pressant
les boutons « Hour » et « Min » pour faire déler les chires. Une fois l’heure sélectionnée, pressez
le bouton « Prog » pour que le voyant bleu s’allume. La cafetière se mettra en marche à l’heure
programmée.
N.B. : le mode « Prog » ne peut pas être activé si la cafetière fonctionne.
N.B. : lors de la programmation, assurez-vous d’avoir rempli le réservoir d’eau, et le porte-ltre
de café moulu.
N.B. : l’écran ache « Prog » au-dessus de l’horloge et le bouton reste allumé pour indiquer que
la cafetière est programmée. Pour annuler la programmation, il sut d’appuyer sur le bouton
« Prog » jusqu’à extinction du témoin.
D. PRÉPARER LE CAFÉ
Avant la première utilisation, il est recommandé de faire un cycle sans café, avec de l’eau, pour
éliminer les éventuelles poussières ou saletés résiduelles de fabrication.
Ajouter de l’eau
Ouvrez le couvercle du réservoir et versez la quantité d’eau voulue dans le réservoir en surveillant
l’indicateur de niveau d’eau. Veillez à ne pas dépasser le maximum de 2 litres. Fermez le couvercle
du réservoir.
N.B. : ne dépassez pas 2 litres (12 tasses) d’eau, sans quoi la carafe pourrait déborder.
N.B. : la cafetière utilise toute l’eau du réservoir, indépendamment de la quantité de café moulu.
Verser le café
Cette machine utilise du café moulu. Nous recommandons de verser une cuillère rase de café

moulu par tasse (avec la cuillère fournie). La capacité maximale de café moulu correspond à 12
tasses. Au-delà, l’appareil risque de déborder.
N.B. : veillez à n’ajouter que la quantité de café correspondant au nombre de tasses que vous
souhaitez préparer. Le percolateur utilise tout le café moulu, indépendamment de la quantité
d’eau dans le réservoir.
Pour ajouter du café, ouvrez le couvercle et versez la quantité de mouture souhaitée dans le ltre.
Refermez ensuite le couvercle.
Préparer la carafe
Rincez la carafe à l’eau chaude avant chaque utilisation.
E. FAIRE PERCOLER LE CAFÉ
Maintenant que la cafetière est prête, assurez-vous qu’elle est correctement branchée.
Pour programmer la cafetière, référez-vous au chapitre 3 « Réglage de la minuterie ».
Appuyez ensuite sur le bouton « Brew/O » pour allumer l’appareil.
Lorsque le cycle est terminé, la machine émet un bip. Le café continue à goutter du ltre pendant
quelques secondes supplémentaires.
A la n du cycle, l’appareil s’éteint automatiquement. La fonction de maintien au chaud conserve
alors le café à température jusqu’à 40 minutes.
ATTENTION : le fond de la carafe reste très chaud pendant plusieurs minutes la n du cycle.
5. NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
• Nettoyez soigneusement chaque élément avant la première utilisation et après chaque utilisation.
• Avant de le nettoyer, éteignez toujours la cafetière et débranchez-la.
• N’utilisez pas de produits abrasifs ni de détergents agressifs sur l’appareil.
• N’immergez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau ou dans d’autres liquides. Pour le nettoyer, utilisez
simplement un chion propre et humide.
• Essuyez la plaque chauante avec un chion propre et humide. N’utilisez jamais de matériaux
rugueux ou abrasifs ni de détergents agressifs pour la nettoyer.
• Vous pouvez laver la carafe et le couvercle à l’eau chaude savonneuse. Rincez-les ensuite
soigneusement.
• Ne séchez pas l’intérieur du réservoir d’eau avec un chion pour éviter le dépôt de peluches.
• N’enroulez jamais le cordon autour de l’extérieur de l’appareil.
• N’immergez jamais la che ni le cordon dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide.
A. DÉTARTRAGE
Il est fortement recommandé de détartrer l’appareil de temps à autre. La fréquence dépend de la
dureté de l’eau de votre réseau de distribution et de la fréquence d’utilisation de l’appareil. Faites-le
également lorsque le témoin du bouton de nettoyage s’allume en rouge.
• Remplissez complètement le réservoir d’eau avec un mélange de 1/3 de vinaigre blanc et 2/3 d’eau
et mettez l’appareil en marche. Un seul cycle devrait sure pour détartrer l’appareil.
• Appuyez ensuite sur le bouton « Clean » pour lancer le détartrage. Une fois le cycle terminé,
l’appareil émet un bip.
• Répétez l’opération en utilisant uniquement de l’eau froide.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your Filter Coee Machine for the rst time, ensure all packaging is removed and clean
all parts thoroughly (see Cleaning & Maintenance Section).

B. SETTING THE CLOCK
When the unit is plugged in, the screen will show 12:00. Press and hold the ‘Hour’ or ‘Min’ button,
until the numbers start to ash. Then press the ‘Hour’ and ‘Min’ buttons to scroll through the
numbers and set the time. When the numbers stop ashing, the time has been set. The clock is
24hr programmable.
C. SETTING THE PROGRAMME TIMER
Press and hold the ‘Prog’ button until the blue indicator light shows and the LCD display begins to
ash with 12:00, this signals that you have entered the ‘Set Programme Time’ mode. The desired
time can be set by pressing the ‘Hour’ and ‘Min’ buttons to scroll forward through the digits. Once
the time has been selected, press the ‘Prog’ button once, so the blue indicator light is illuminated.
Brewing will be begin at the programmed time.
N.B: The ‘Prog’ mode cannot be entered if the Filter Coee Machine is in a brew cycle.
N.B: When setting the programme time, ensure coee and water are placed in the machine before
starting.

N.B: The display will show ‘Prog’ above the clock and the button will stay illuminated to show that a
timer has been set. To switch the timer o, simply press the ‘Prog’ button, so it’s no longer illuminted.
D. PREPARING TO BREW
Before making coee for the rst time, we recommend operating the appliance once, using only
water, to remove any dust of residue that may remain in the system from the manufacturing process.
Adding Water
Open the lid of the main unit and pour the desired amount of water into the water tank, using the
water level indicator. Close the reservoir lid, ensuring not to exceed the 2L maximum.
N.B: Do not exceed 2L (12 cups) of water. Doing so could cause the carafe to overow.
N.B: The machine will use all of the water added, regardless of the amount of coee used.
Adding Coee
This machine uses ground coee. With the scoop provided, we recommend you use 1 level scoop
of ground coee per cup. The maximum capacity for ground coee is 12 cups. Exceeding this may
cause the appliance to overow.
N.B: Be careful to only add the amount of coee for the number of cups you wish to brew. The
machine will use all the coee regardless of the amount of water used.
To add coee, open the lid of the main unit and scoop the desired amount of coee into the lter
basket. Then close the lid.
Preparing the Carafe
Rinse the carafe with hot water, before every use.
E. BREWING COFFEE
Now the machine is ready for use, ensure the machine is plugged into the mains.
To set the appliance, to start at a programmed time, refer to the ‘Setting the Programme Timer’
in section 3.
Then press the ‘Brew/O’ button to brew fresh coee.
When the brewing cycle has completed, the machine will beep. Coee will continue to stream from
the lter for several seconds afterwards.
After brewing, the appliance will automatically shut o. The keep warm feature will then maintain
the temperature of the coee, for up to 40 minutes.
CAUTION: The bottom of the carafe is hot to touch for several minutes after brewing.
5. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
• Before rst use and after every use, clean each part thoroughly.
• Always turn the coee maker o and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
• Do not use scouring agents or harsh cleaning agents on any other part of the appliance.
• Never immerse the main housing unit in water or other liquids. To clean the housing and control
panel, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
• Wipe the resting plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials or harsh
cleaning agents to clean the resting plate.

• The carafe and lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
• Do not dry the inside of the water tank with a cloth as lint may remain.
• Never wrap the cord around the outside of the unit.
• Never immerse the plug or lead in water or any other liquid.
A. DESCALING
It is strongly recommended that you descale the appliance from time to time. The frequency
depends upon the harshness of your tap water and how often you use the appliance or when the
clean button illuminates red.
• Fill the water tank completely with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water and switch the
appliance on. One cycle should be sucient to de-scale the appliance.
• Press the ‘Clean’ button to turn the coee maker on. Once the cycle has been completed, it will
beep.
• Repeat this cycle once more using just cold tap water.

das Gerät wickeln.

Sicherheit von elektrogeräten

VOR DEM ERSTEN GEBRAUCH
Bevor Sie Ihre Filterkaeemaschine zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nehmen, vergewissern Sie sich bitte,
dass alle Verpackungen entfernt wurden und reinigen Sie alle Teile gründlich (siehe Abschnitt
Reinigung & Pege).

B. EINSTELLEN DER UHR
Wenn das Gerät an den Netzstrom angeschlossen wird, erscheint 12:00 auf dem Display. Die Taste
«Hour» bzw. «Min» drücken, bis die Zahlen beginnen zu blinken. Dann die Tasten «Hour» und «Min“
drücken, um die Zahlen durchlaufen zu lassen und die korrekte Uhrzeit einzustellen. Wenn die
Zahlen aufhören zu blinken, ist die Uhrzeit eingestellt. Die Uhr ist auf 24 Stunden programmierbar.
C. EINSTELLEN DES PROGRAMMTIMERS
Die ‘Prog’-Taste drücken, bis die blaue Kontrollleuchte erscheint und das LCD-Display mit 12:00
zu blinken beginnt; dies signalisiert, dass der Modus ‘Programmzeit einstellen’ aktiv ist. Die
gewünschte Uhrzeit kann durch Drücken und Halten der Tasten «Hour» und «Min“ eingestellt
werden. Wenn die gewünschte Uhrzeit eingestellt ist, die Taste «Prog» einmal drücken, und die
blaue Kontrollanzeige leuchtet. Die Kaeezubereitung wird zur programmierten Zeit gestartet.
Anmerkung: Der Modus «Prog» kann nicht aufgerufen werden, wenn die Filterkaeemaschine
gerade Kaee aufbrüht.
ANMERKUNG: Denken Sie beim Einstellen der Programmzeit daran, das Gerät vor dem Zeitpunkt
der Zubereitung mit gemahlenem Kaee und Wasser zu befüllen.
Anmerkung: Auf dem Display wird über der Uhr «Prog» angezeigt und die Taste bleibt erleuchtet,
um anzuzeigen, dass ein Timer eingestellt wurde. Um den Timer auszuschalten, drücken Sie einfach
die Taste «Prog», so dass sie nicht mehr leuchtet.
D. VORBEREITUNGEN FÜR DIE KAFFEEZUBEREITUNG
Vor der ersten Kaeezubereitung empfehlen wir, das Gerät einmal nur mit Wasser zu betreiben, um
Staub oder Rückstände zu entfernen, die vom Herstellungsprozess im System verbleiben können.
