1. QUICK START GUIDE
QUICK NOTES ON NEW FEATURES OF THE CGX3:
PLEASE GO TO CYCLOPSGEAR.COM/GET-SUPPORT TO WATCH A FEW QUICK-START VIDEOS TO
GET YOU STARTED.
FULLY CHARGE THE CGX3 BEFORE USE.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU FORMAT YOUR SD CARD BEFORE FIRST USE OF THE
CAMERA.
TURN ON THE CGX3 WITH A SHORT PRESS OF THE POWER BUTTON, THE CYCLOPS GEAR LOGO
WILL DISPLAY.
WHILE IN STANDBYE MODE, PRESS THE BUTTON TO ENTER INTO THE MODE SELECTION
SCREEN. PRESS THE BUTTON TO DISPLAY CAMERA SETTINGS.
SWIPE THE SCREEN TO MOVE FORWARD AND BACKWARD BETWEEN THE SETTINGS TABS.
USE THE USB CABLE PROVIDED TO TRANSFER THE VIDEO TO YOUR COMPUTER.
SEARCH CYCLOPS IN GOOGLE PLAY OR IOS APP STORE TO DOWNLOAD WIFI APP.

Handling Precautions and Key Information
DO NOT drop or hit the camera as it may damage the internal components.
DO NOT alter or dismantle the camera, this may cause damage and void
warranty.
DO NOT touch the lens when recording, this will affect video quality.
USE Class10 and above Micro SD card to ensure maximum reliability in high-
vibration activities.
Note:The camera may get warm, this is normal while operating for a long duration.

4. CAMERA SPECIAL FEATURES
Special Features
Invert Mode Provides the ability to invert camera view while on-the-fly. You can set
Invert Mode in the menu to ON, the camera will rotate 180 degrees.
WiFi Function Provides the convenience to operate the machine up to 15 meters by using
your mobile phone through WiFi connection.
High Speed
Recording Provides the ability to record with 720P at 120 frames per second (fps).
Water Proof Camera is waterproof up to 10 meters without a case.
Time Lapse
Provides flexibility to capture a single frame in intervals of your choice.
You can effectively use this mode to record events over a long time frame,
such as recording sunrises, sunsets or flowers blooming.
Capture Mode While recording, press the POWER button to take a picture. This option
can conveniently be set to take photos automatically as well.
Capacitive Touch
Screen
Features a 2” Capacitive Touch Screen that makes camera operating
convenient.

Note:
Touch Screen may be unresponsive when controlling your camera underwater. Set
the Touch Panel Function to Off and use the Power Button to switch between
video and camera mode.
Note:
RESTART the camera if you want to activate the Touch Panel Function.
7. CAMERA OPERATION
6.1 Power ON / OFF
6.1.1 Power ON
To power ON:
1. Short press the POWER BUTTON, Cyclops Gear logo displays.
a. The Blue Working Indicator lights up and subsequently the camera enters STANDBY Mode.
6.1.2 Power OFF
To switch the camera OFF:
1. Long press the POWER BUTTON

6.2 Battery Charging
To charge the battery:
1. Connect the camera with power charger through USB cable.
a. The Charging Status Light (red light) remains ON while the battery is charging.
b. The Charging Status Light turns OFF while the battery is fully charged.
Note:
TURN OFF the Camera while charging for faster battery charging.
6.3 Video Mode
6.3.1 Video Interface

6.3.2 Normal Recording
To perform normal recording:
1. Set Loop Recording to Off in the Video Mode Menu.
2. Press OK BUTTON. The camera starts recording until card is full.

3. Press OK BUTTON again to stop recording.
6.3.3 Loop Recording
To perform loop recording:
1. Press OK BUTTON or touch icon in STANDBY Mode to start recording. The Blue Indicator Light
blinks.
2. When the Video has been recording for the selected time (3 minute/5 minutes/10minutes), camera saves
the footage automatically and begins a new recording.
3. When TF card is full, camera overwrites the first footage by time sequence and continues recording.
4. Press OK BUTTON again or touch icon to stop recording.

1. Press POWER BUTTON in STANDBY mode to enter picture Mode. Alternatively, you can touch icon
to enter the Interface of Mode Selection.
2. Touch icon to enter Picture Mode.
3. Aim at the object you want to shoot and press OK BUTTON or touch icon. Camera saves pictures
automatically.
Note: Camera default setting is video mode
4. Press OK BUTTON or touch icon under STANDBY mode to start recording. The Blue Indicator Light
flashes.
6.4.2 Capture Function
To capture a Picture:
1. Press POWER BUTTON to take a picture during Video Recording. The picture will be saved
automatically.

In Playback Mode, double tap anywhere of the screen to enter the interface of Four Icon. In the interface of file preview,
you can slide or swipe to browse files.

1. In STANDBY Mode, touch icon to enter the interface of Mode selection.

To install and use WiFi
1. Search CYCLOPS in Google Play or IOS App Store to download WiFi App.
2. Install the app on your smartphone.
3. Long press OK BUTTON or tap the WiFi Icon to activate WiFi.
4. Find CGX3 in the WiFi list on your smartphone. You are prompted to enter a password. The WiFi
password is recordlife.
5. Find the app on your smartphone. Subsequently, you can control the camera through this app.
6. Long press OK BUTTON on camera to exit WiFi setting.
Note: Effective distance is influenced by environment. Decrease of the WiFi signal and operation
delay are normal as distance increases. POWER
SAVING MODE on Mobile must be set to OFF. KEEP WIFI ON
DURING SLEEP on Mobile must be set to ALWAYS.
