Information regarding use of loudspeakers
W RNING!
Never stand in the immediate vi inity of loudspeakers driven at a
high level. Professional loudspeaker systems are apable of ausing
a sound pressure level detrimental to human health. Seemingly non-
riti al sound levels (from approx. 95 dB SPL) an ause hearing
damage if people are exposed to it over a long period.
In order to prevent a idents when deploying loudspeakers on the
ground or when flown, please take note of the following:
When setting up the loudspeakers or loudspeaker stands, make sure
they are standing on a firm surfa e. If you pla e several systems on
top of one another, use straps to se ure them against movement.
Only use a essories whi h have been tested and approved by d&b
for assembly and mobile deployment. Pay attention to the orre t
appli ation and maximum load apa ity of the a essories as
detailed in our spe ifi “Mounting instru tions” or in our "Flying
system and Rigging manuals”.
Ensure that all additional hardware, fixings and fasteners used for
installation or mobile deployment are of an appropriate size and
load safety fa tor. Pay attention to the manufa turers instru tions
and to the relevant safety guidelines.
Regularly he k the loudspeaker housings and a essories for visible
signs of wear and tear, and repla e them when ne essary.
Regularly he k all load bearing bolts in the mounting devi es.
C UTION!
Loudspeakers produ e a stati magneti field even if they are not
onne ted or are not in use. Therefore make sure when ere ting
and transporting loudspeakers that they are nowhere near
equipment and obje ts whi h may be impaired or damaged by an
external magneti field. Generally speaking, a distan e of 0.5 m
(1.5 ft) from magneti data arriers (floppy disks, audio and video
tapes, bank ards, et .) is suffi ient; a distan e of more than 1 m
(3 ft) may be ne essary with omputer and video monitors.
