To our customers
Attention
1. efore installing the heat pump, please check whether the local power supply corresponds
with the requirement of the heat pump. For details, please refer to the nameplate on the unit
or the installation and operation instruction.
2. Please install the electrical protection devices according to local regulations.
3. Connecting the heat pump to a ground wire is necessary, in order to prevent electric shock
caused by an unexpected short circuit inside the unit.
4. In wire connection, the electrician can refer to the wiring diagram in this manual. Wiring tasks
should be carried out by qualified electricians only. In addition, they should check the safety
conditions of power utilization, for example, check if the cable capacity is adequate, and check
if the power cable is damaged.
5. Do not insert any objects into the heat pump when running. It may touch the fan and damage
it or lead to accidents (especially for the children).
Do not use the unit without the grid in case it may lead to any accidents.
6. For safety reasons, please do not change or repair unit by yourself. If it is necessary, please
contact local distributor for help.
7. If there is something wrong with the unit, contact immediately with local distributor or our
factory. The unit can be reused only after check and solution by the technical staff.
8. Make sure that cut off the electric supply before maintaining the unit.
9. Please follow the instruction below when cleaning the unit.
a. efore cleaning, cut off the electric supply of the unit firstly to avoid injuries caused by fan
in operation.
b. Do not rinse the unit by water because the rinsed unit may cause electric shock.

PRODUCT RIEF INSTRUCTION
1.1 Performance
High efficiency
With a COP value more than 4.9, our heat pumps are very efficiency when transferring heat from
the air to the swimming pool water. It can save as much as 80% of cost compared to an electric
heater.
Long life-span
The heat exchanger is made of PVC & Titanium tube, which can withstand and prolong exposure to
swimming pool water.
Easy control and operation
The unit is very easy to operate: simply switch it on and set the desired pool water temperature.
The system includes a remote controller, allowing all operation parameters to be set. Operation
status can be displayed on the controller with LCD display.
1.2 Working principle
Heat pumps utilize the sun’s free heat by collecting and absorbing energy from the outside air.
This energy is then compressed and transferred to the pool water. Your existing water pump
circulates the water through the heat pumps heater, usually next to the pool equipment, and the
water warms up.
This pool heat pump is also of cooling function. User can choose the heating or cooling mode
through the LCD controller. The cooling mode’s working principle is opposite to the heating mode.
● The unit contains a fan that draws in outside air and directs it over the surface of the
evaporator (energy collector). The low temperature refrigerant liquid within the evaporator coil
absorbs the heat from the outside air becomes warm gas.
● The warm gas in the coil pass through the compressor, where the warm gas is concentrated
and increased to hot gas, and then pass to the condenser (water heat exchanger). It is here that
the heat exchange occurs as the hot gas give off heat to the cold swimming pool water circulating
through the coil.
● The pool water becomes warmer, and the hot gas cooling as it flows through the condenser
coil returns to liquid form, after passing on through the capillary tube, the whole process begins
again.

INSTALLATION
Installation position
1. The unit must be installed on reliable base or framework. Weight capacity of framework
should be 3 times of the body weight, and safeguard measures should be taken to avoid
malfunction of fastenings.
2. If the unit is to be installed on the floor, its undercarriage should be heightened, to avoid
ingression of accumulated water in rainy season. In snowy areas, it is important to prevent
accumulated snow from blocking up the air-out. The recommended height is 20cm to 30cm.
Take the vertical model as an example, see the drawing below.
3. Drain ditch or other facilities should be arranged under the outdoor unit, to avoid the influence
of water discharge.

Installation must be carried out by professional staff.

4. To install the unit at balcony or top of building, the installation site must meet the allowable
bearing capacity of building structure, without affecting the structural safety.
5. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
Virtually the unit may be installed anywhere outdoors providing minimum distance
requirements are met with respect to other objects.
For indoor pools please consult your installer.
Attention:
Do not place the unit in an enclosed area with a limited air volume where the unit’s discharged
air will be re-circulated or near shrubs that could block the air inlet. These locations deny the
unit a continuous fresh air supply, which reduces its efficiency and may prevent adequate heat
yield.

6. The unit should not be installed at places accompanied with oil, inflammable gas, corrosive
components e.g. sulfur compound, or high-frequency equipment.
7. The unit should not be installed at sites with typhoon/earthquake hazards. Midair installation
should be avoided as much as possible as machine falling down may result in severe accident.
Distance from the pool
Normally, the pool heat pump is installed within a 7.5 meter radius of the swimming pool. The
greater the distance is from the pool, the greater the heat loss from the piping. Since the piping is
buried for the most part, heat loss is minimal for distance of up to 30 meters (15 meters to and
from the heat pump = 30 meters total), unless the soil is wet or the water level is high. Heat loss

per 30 meters could roughly be estimated at 0.6 kW/ hour for every 5 temperature difference ℃
between the pool water and the soil surrounding the pipe, which translates to an operation time
increase time increase of 3-5%.
Swimming pool water chemistry
Special attention should be paid to the chemical balance of the pool water. The pool water value
should always within the following limits:

Note: Failure to comply with these limits will invalidate the warranty.
Exceeding one or several limits can damage the heat pump. Always install water treatment
equipment past the heat pump’s water outlet, especially if the chemicals are automatically added
to the water.
Attention
1. The water flow can not be lower than the unit standard value (please refer to the nameplate).
2. The insulation of water pipe should be done well to prevent energy loss.
3. A suitable draining valve should be installed in the bottom point of water system.
4. For controlling the time spent to wash and clean system and preventing the dreg or sediment
in the system pipe line to enter into the heat exchanger, a by-pass pipe line should be reserved
between supply water and return water pipe.
5. When circulation water is running initially, close the inlet and outlet valves of the unit, open
the bypass valve; after water pump is running for a while, clean the water filter netting; after
confirming there is no mess in the external circulation system, then open the inlet and outlet
valve of the unit, close the bypass valve, then make the unit operated normally.
For all above demonstrations are only for your reference, the practical project should be carried
out by professional persons according to standard and design requirement.

ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Wires, spare parts and materials etc. must satisfy the relevant standards issued by the host
country or region.
The heat pump does not include an isolator switch on the incoming electrical supply. The power
supply cable must be connected to a circuit-breaker with at least a 3 mm breaking gap. Incoming
supply must be neutral ground, via a distribution board with fuses.
If an insulation test is to be carried out in the building, please make sure to disconnect the heat
pump.
To avoid the possibility of false action caused by electromagnetic coupling, the communication
wire must be STP (Shielded Twisted Pair).The size of communication wire should not less than
0.5mm2.
Note!
Electrical installation and service must be carried out
under the supervision of a qualified electrician. Electrical
installation and wiring must be carried out in accordance
with the stipulations in force.

CONTROLLER OPERATION INSTRUCTION
Operation panel
Under standby state, the time and water temp. show on the display screen.
1. utton instruction
◆ “ ” y: ON / OFF Switch button;
Press “ ” key to switch ON or OFF at any state.
At the ON state, press the “ ” key into OFF state, it shows Clock, Working mode and Timer
status.
At the OFF state, press the “ ” key to start unit, it shows Water inlet temp, Working mode
and Timer status.
◆ “ ”: Mode key (Running automatically or manually)
Press “M” key to switch unit running as automatic, heating or cooling at any state.
It shows “ ” when running automatically, shows “ ” when heating, shows “ ”
when cooling.

1.1 Lock and Unlock.
1.1.1 At the non-locking key state, press “▲” or “▼” key for 3 seconds, the button locks
after the buzzer rings “Di Di” twice.
1.1.2 At the locking key state, press “▲” or “▼” key for 3 seconds, the button unlocks after
the buzzer rings “Di Di” twice.
1.2 Inquiry of System parameter and state
1.2.1 Press “▲” or “▼” key directly in the main interface, it enters inquiry interface of
temperature sensor state;
1.2.2 Press “SET” to inquiry all the parameter and state;
1.2.3 At inquiry interface of parameter and state, it exits inquiry interface to enter into main
interface if there is no any operation for 8 seconds.
1.3 System parameter setting
1.3.1 At inquiry interface, if it shows system parameter at present in the “OFF” state, press
“▲” or “▼” key at the same time for 3 seconds, the buzzer rings once, it enters the present
parameter set state;
1.3.2 Press “▲” or “▼” key to modify set value of present system parameter when entering
parameter set. After setting the parameter, press “SET” again to save setting value and exit the
present parameter set state, return to inquiry interface.;
1.3.3 At parameter set state, it saves the present set value and exits parameter set state,
return to main interface if there is no any operation for 8 seconds.
