Method of operation

How to turn the power on / starting recording:
First turn on the power/record button, then start recording after
the recording light flashes red. (Note: This product will automatically
create one recording file every 60 minutes. Please note that
when the SD card is full, the record and play lights will flash 10
times at the same time and you can no longer record. (You can
extend this setting from 60 minutes to 120 minutes by contacting
us to change the software. Please see "Common Problems"
at the end of the manual.))
Stop recording: Press the Mode / Play button during recording
to stop recording. (Recording light lights up in red) Press the
Mode / Play button again to start recording again. (The recording
light flash red) (Note: To save battery after you stop recording,
you must resume recording within 20 minutes or the power will
turn off automatically. (By contacting us to change the software,
you can change the stop time from 20 minutes to 60 minutes and/or
change to auto power-off function after recording stops. If necessary,
please refer to "Common Problems" at the end of the manual. "

Turn off the power: Switch off the power/record button to
power off the device.
Save record: If you turn off the power/record button during
recording, the recording will be saved and the power will be
turned off. (Note: If you plug in an earphone while recording,
the recording will be automatically saved and playback will start.)

Also, please do not put the music file in the folder, put it
directly in the drive. If you put a music file in the “RECORD”
folder, it will be played as a recording file. Even if I press
and hold the mode/play button for a long time, it cannot be
played back because it cannot be recognized as a music file.

Mode switching: When playing music or recordings, press and
hold the mode/play button to switch between music mode and
playback mode. (When switching modes, the record light will flash
once to indicate that the mode has been successfully switched.)
(Note: You cannot switch to recording mode with the mode/play
button. To switch from playback mode to recording mode, turn off
the power/recording button, and then turn it on again.)

1.Before turning on the power of the product, insert the
earphones fully, the playback light will light blue from
the recording light red, and it will automatically switch

2.If you fully insert the headphones while recording, the
recording will be saved and played automatically. (Note:
If the headset is not fully inserted, it cannot be played).
Even if the headset is unplugged, if the playback indicator
of the product flash blue, it means that it is still playing.
Stop playback: During playback, you can stop playback
by pressing the Mode / Play button. Press it again to play
again. (Note: To save battery, if you stop playback for 20
minutes, the power will be turned off automatically). (By
change the software, you can change the stop time with 20
minutes or 60 minutes, or turn the auto power-off function
after stop. If required, please refer to "Common Problems"
at the end of the manual. )

If you disconnect the earphones and connect to a computer
while playback is stopped, the computer will recognize it.
When you disconnect from the computer, it switches to recording
mode and starts recording automatically.
Playback content selection: Press the next song / volume
+ button / previous song / volume-button to select the previous
/ next playback content.
Volume adjustment: Press and hold the next song/volume
+ button during playback to increase the volume.
Previous song / Volume-Press and hold the button to decrease
the volume. (Note: To adjust the volume, you need to press
and hold the "+" / "-" button. )
① Connect the product to your PC with the included USB
cable.
② Open the drive of the product in "My Computer" on your
PC and find the "RECORD" folder.
③ Save the recording file in it to the desktop of the PC or a
specified folder.
④ Play the WAV format recording file with playback software
that can support it. (Recommended playback

If playback is stopped and the earphones remain connected
to the device, the device will be recognized by the computer.
It does not switch to recording mode even if it is disconnected
from the computer.

Connect to speakers and play recordings and music
This product can be connected to a speaker for playback.

software: Windows system: Windows Media Player or Quick
Time Player Mac system: iTunes or vlc media player. (Note:
If you can't play on iTunes, it's probably because your version
of iTunes needs to be upgraded.)
When the recording data of the product is copied or read,
the playback light and the recording light flash at the same
time.
The playback light will not flash when the recorded data in
the product is not being copied or read.
When the product is fully charged and recording data cannot
be copied or read, the playback light and recording light
up at the same time.
(1) Prepare an audio cable with a diameter of 3.5 mm (sold
separately).
(2) Then connect the audio cable and the included USB
conversion adapter.
(3) Connect the audio cable to the speaker and play the
product recording and music.
This is recommended if you want to hear the recording with
others.

How to delete recording files
There are two ways to delete a recording file
Delete audio files using your computer:
(1) Connect the product to your PC with the included USB
cable. Then open the drive of the product in "My Computer"
on your PC and find the "RECORD" folder.
(2) Delete the file you want to delete in the "RECORD" folder.
Delete audio files using the voice recorder:
(1) Insert the earphone fully into the voice recorder.
(2) Turn on the voice recorder and wait about 5 seconds until
only the playback light lights up blue.
(3) Once the blue playback light lights up, you are now in
playback mode. Use the " + " and " - " buttons to find the
recorded data you want to delete. When you find it, press
the "Play" button again to stop playback and press and
hold the " + " and " Play " button simultaneously for 3 seconds.
At that time, it switches to the delete mode and the recording
and playback lights light up at the same time.
(4) Press the " Play " button to delete the recorded data. At
that time, be aware that the red recording light will flash,
and then the play and record lights will flash alternately,
allowing you to delete the recorded files. (Note: Delete
mode time is about 5 seconds. If you do not delete the
recorded data without pressing the " Play " button within
5 seconds, you will return to the playback mode. It may
delete the recorded data that you do not want to delete
by mistake, so we recommend you to first backup the data
on your computer before deleting on the device.)

OTG function
This product has an OTG function.
If you have an OTG conversion adapter (sold separately),
you can directly playback / delete the recorded content on an
OTG-compatible smart phone.
If you do not ha ve a personal computer, use the OTG
function.
How to use OTG conversion adapter

Please note:
1.The OTG function is applied only to Android smart phones.
2.It is necessary for your smart phone to support OTG.
3.There are different types of OTG conversion adapters, so
please purchase by using the USB port of your smart phone.
(For details, please contact the vendor of the OTG conversion
adapter).
(1) Connect the USB side of the OTG conversion adapter
to your smartphone.
(2) Connect the OTG conversion adapter and voice recorder
with the accessory USB cable.
(3) On the settings of the smartphone, find the voice recorder
drive in the storage, and open it. (It's different to find a
voice recorder drive depending on the smartphones. If
you cannot find this file, please contact your smartphone
customer service.)
Note: To play on smartphones, you need to install an app
that can support the WAV format. (Recommended playback
software: Poweramp).

Charging method

Time synchronization setting

Low power indicator: When the recording light and the
playback light flash simultaneously during recording or
After connecting the product to your PC, open the drive
of the product in "My Computer". Then open the "Settime"
folder. Finally, you can click the "SetDigitRecorderTm.exe"
file to synchronize it with your PC.(As shown)
Please connect to the product’s USB port with the supplied
USB cable. You can charge it by connecting the included
USB cable to the power supply (PC, AC adapter, mobile
battery). (Note: Please charge with DC5V == 1A power
supply).
Charging status: The blue playback light will flash while
charging. When the battery is fully charged, the playback light
and recording light will light on simultaneously.
Recording while charging: Connect charger during recording,
the recording light lights up, and the playback light flashes at the
same time.(Note: Connect the charger during recording, if the
battery is full, the red and blue indicator lights will be solid.)

For example: Enter "19:20 2019/10/14" as shown in the
image.
Since “SetDigitRecorderTm.exe" cannot be applied to
the Mac Operating System, in the case of the Mac OS, create
a new text di rec tly un der t h e d riv e o f t he pro duc t a fte r
connecting to the PC. Then change the new text name to
"timeset" and edit the content.
When you enter, please enter in half-width characters.
Also, leave one character between the numbers.
When you turn on the product after completing the time
setting, the file name will be named according to the time
set.
If you do not know how to create a new text for Mac OS,
please contact us. We will send you a new text for setting
the time.

After connecting the product to your PC, open the product
drive in "My Computer". Then find the file with "RECSET".
Finally, open the file with "RECSET" and change the setting
value if necessary. The product itself is set to "3 0". (As shown)
Please note: The first number "3" is the bit rate 192K. The
second number "0" is the VOR function off. (VOR function can
be adjusted in 7 steps from 0 to 7.)
When changing the setting value, enter it in half-width. Also,
leave one character between the numbers.
When you have completed the input, save it, and turn on the
power again. If this file is deleted, the product will revert to the
default "3 0".

What is the VOR function:
An abbreviation for Voice Operated Recording, a function
that allows the microphone to detect a certain amount of
sound and automatically start recording.
When the sound becomes quieter, the recording will stop
automatically and the VOR recording will be paused.

Note: Although it is a voice-activated recording function, the
recording mode must be turned on. After turning on the power,
you need to press the record button to start recording.
Note: Please note that the VOR function cannot operate
unless the volume level is detected.

The number "1" indicates that the VOR function has the
lowest sensitivity. Therefore, when recording, even if the
sound volume is a little low (1 m or more), the recording will
not be stopped immediately and it is possible to continue
recording. (Please note that the setting values 1 to 3 have
low sensitivity.)
A value of 2 is usually recommended for the VOR function
setting value. However, the customer can change the set
value according to their own needs, so set the set value
according to their own needs.

The VOR function is mainly for power saving and capacity
saving, so if you increase the sensitivity, the recording will
stop immediately if the volume of the sound becomes a little
low when recording at a distance (1 m or more), the file will
automatically be saved. (Please note that the setting values
from 4 to 7 are highly sensitive.)
Also, considering the specifications of the VOR function,
it is recommended to turn off the VOR function so that the
product will not automatically turn off and fail to record during
important meetings

2.When I connect the voice recorder to the PC, it is not
recognized by the PC.

Common problems
1. I want to upgrade the version.
Answer: There are two ways.
1) Please download the version upgrade file corresponding to your
purchased product for free on our official website.
Official site: https://www.dapingvip.com/Downloads
2) If you contact us directly, our customer service staff will send you
the update file.
Contact: [e-mail]
Answer: If the voice recorder is connected to the PC during
recording, it will not be recognized by the PC. When connecting
to a PC, turn off the voice recorder.
If it's not working even if you turn it off, it may be due to a bad
connection with the computer's USB port, so connect the voice
recorder to another USB port on the computer. Then connect it
to your computer with an available USB flash drive and check
if the USB flash drive is recognized. If the USB memory is not
recognized, check the condition of the USB port on your computer.
Also, the connection with the USB cable may be damaged, so
please check if the USB cable is properly connected between
the computer and voice recorder. Then connect the voice recorder
to your computer with a new USB cable.

3.I cannot play the audio files on my PC.
Answer: Use WAV playable playback software. (Recommended
playback software: Windows OS: Quick Time Player or windows media
player; For Mac OS: iTunes or vlc media player)
Note: If you can't play on iTunes, it's probably because your version
of iTunes needs to be updated.
4.When playing a recording file, skipping or continuous
recording may not be possible.
Answer: This is probably because the VOR function is
turned on, and when recording, the recorded voice becomes
louder or softer. In this case, we recommend turning off the
VOR function or reducing the set value.
5.Can't play audio file even if the earphone is plugged in.
Answer: Check if your earphone is properly inserted into the
product and the product is not switched to playback mode. If the
headset does not stick properly, try connecting the earphone to
a smart phones or computer, and then play to check whether the
headset is malfunctioning.
6.Battery life and continuous recording time is less than
20 hours.
Answer: The battery life and continuous recording time is
related to the remaining battery power, sound quality, and the
setting value of the VOR function, so if you want continuous
recording for about 20 hours, set the setting value to "0 2"
with a full charge.

7.There is noise
8.After the time synchronization was completed, the
time of the recorded file could not be synchronized.
Answer: Our product uses a high-sensitivity microphone,
so if you touch the product itself during recording, a squealing
voice will also be recorded. Be careful when recording in a
pocket.
Answer: If you connect the main unit and cable to a computer
with a USB hub in between, and the time of the recorded file may
not be synchronized even after the time synchronization is completed.
Please disconnect it from the hub and connect the computer directly
to the unit again and try time synchronization again. If you cannot
use it, please contact us.
1. To maintain the battery health in this product, please
charge the product every 3 months, even when not in
normal use.
2. When connected to a computer, a recording file time of
90/ 18 0/360 hours (for 8 /16/32 GB ) means that if y ou
calculate the time of all recording files, you can record
up to 90/180/360 hours.
3. 20 hours of continuous recording time means that you
can use it continuously for 20 hours after fully charging
it once (on basic setting).
4. While recording or playing music, disconnect the USB
conversion adapter from the recorder, turn off the power,
and then connect the USB conversion adapter again, the
product will automatically playback the recorded content.

5. If you disconnect the USB conversion adapter from the
recorder during recording or playing music, and then
connect the USB conversion adapter again without turning
off th e power, the pro duct will a utomati cally play th e
continuation of what you stopped last time.
6. If the product cannot record, the SD card may be full, so
check or format the SD card. For formatting, connect the
product to a PC, right-click the product drive in My Computer,
and select the "Format" option. However, please back up
all documentation on your product drive before formatting.
7. If the product cannot be charged, please feel free to contact
our customer service as the USB cable, charger, or product
itself may have broken.
8. Since the product software occupies a part of the storage
capacity, it is normal that the actual capacity differs from
the nominal capacity.
9. We recommend backing up the recordings made while
using the product. Please note that we cannot be held
responsible for any loss or damage to the file data due
to incorrect product operation, repairs, battery replacement,
or other factors.
