Warning Care should be taken when using this equipment to avoid contact with power lines.
The system is not earthed. If mains operated equipment is connected to the system then the external equipment
must be earthed.
Do not use the Wireless system in potentially explosive environments. This equipment should be used in conjunction
with the relevant risk assessment having taken place.

1. System Overview
The wireless camera kit consists of a camera assembly housing a video transmitter and monitor
assembly that are powered independently by lithium ion battery packs. The DS100-DM builds on
the success of the DS100-M now incorporating a wireless video receiver and the ability to display
two video channels either in full screen mode or picture in picture.
This Guide should be used in conjunction with the DS100 USER GUIDE which outlines all
functions of the monitor except the two channel functionality which will be covered in this guide.

2. Quick Start Guide
1. Power on the Monitor and ensure that Channel 2 is selected using the CH1/2 button on the
LEFT keypad. (n.b. interference will be displayed until the camera is switched on.)
2. Ensure Camera is fitted securely to the relevant accessory. Power on the Camera, the
pushbutton is illuminated when the camera is on.
3. Allow up to 15 seconds for the Camera and Monitor to Synchronise, in this time black banding
or half screen may be observed.
4. If recording of video is required then insert an SD card into the Recorder slot and refer to the
DS100-M manual for further information.
5. The camera head can be tilted anywhere between the two extremes shown, this can be done
on the fly whilst in use or set before use if the camera is to be stationary.

6. After use ensure the Camera and the Monitor are powered off. N.B. it can be easy to forget to
turn the camera off failure to do this will discharge your battery whilst the equipment is not in
use.

3. Charging the batteries:
1. Ensure both the Monitor and the Camera are powered off
2. Connect chargers to the charge point on the Monitor and Camera.
3. Switch on the chargers and charge until the Red led turns to Green.

4. DS100-DM Dual channel Function
The DS100-DM has two video channels, one is wireless and the other is a wired connection on the
back of the monitor. This allows the monitor to be used with wired and wireless accessories. Both
channels can be used simultaneously and by repeatedly pressing the CH1/2 button on the left
keypad the Monitor will cycle through CH1→CH2→CH2 IN 1→CH1 IN 2.

water and dirt ingress.

6. DVR SYSTEM SETTINGS
Power-up the DS100 by switching it on
On power-up the ‘splash screen’ briefly appears
followed by the default screen.
Changing Default Settings
Press the ‘Settings’ button to access the set-up screens.
To navigate through the screens, just press the ‘Settings’
button each time until you’ve gone through all the setting
screens.
To Change the settings on each screen:
Use the or to scroll up and down the settings
Use the or to make change to the settings
In each case, when complete, press the ‘Settings’ button to navigate to
the next settings screen, or ESC to go back to the Preview screen
where you can create videos or take images.
Time Settings: Screen 1
Navigate and change the settings as per the above
instructions.
Channel 1 Video Settings: Screen 2
Navigate and change the settings as per the above
instructions.
Frame Rate: 5/15/30 fps selectable. The higher the frame rate the
bigger the file memory.
File Save: Set to ‘Yes’ to save to SD Card.

Channel 2 Video Settings: Screen 3
Navigate and change the settings as per the above
instructions.
Frame Rate: 5/15/30 fps selectable. The higher the frame rate, the
bigger the file memory.
File Save: Set to ‘No’.
Record Settings: Screen 4
Navigate and change the settings as per the above
instructions.
Quality: High/Middle/Low selectable - the higher the quality the
bigger the file memory.
Overwrite: Overwrite automatically once SD Card memory.

Alarm Period: Set the alarm time frame, set by motion detection.
Time Stamp: Set time and date to appear on video and images.
Reset: Reset to default settings.
Version: Software version number.

7. USING THE DISPLAY CONTROLS
The display controls are on the right hand side of the Display Handset and are as follows:
a. To change PICTURE settings press Menu once then Sel to select either Bright, Contrast, Colour or
Language. Use Up/Down key to adjust level or language.
b. To flip screen image
Press Menu twice then Up/Down
to select picture orientation.
N.B SYSTEM and CLOCK menus are not currently utilized.

8. USING THE DVR SETTINGS –VIDEO/STILL IMAGE CAPTURE
CHANNEL SETTINGS
Whilst in ‘Preview’ mode, select the recording channel the
camera is connected to by pressing either of the
‘CH 1/2 SEL’ (Channel Select) buttons.
STILL IMAGE CAPTURE
Whilst in ‘Preview’ mode, to capture a static image press
the ‘Image’ capture button.
STILL IMAGE VIEWING
Whilst in ‘Preview’ mode, to view static image files,
first access and view the folder on the SD Card by
pressing the ‘Folder’ button.
Use the or to scroll up and down if there is
more than one folder.
Press the ‘SEL’ (Select) button to select the folder and
to view the files within the folder.
Use the or to scroll up and down through the files
Todelete files and folders press twice.
Press the ‘SEL’ (Select) button to select the file and to
view the image.

Whilst in ‘Preview’ mode, to record video press the ‘REC’
(Record) button.
To stop recording press the ‘STOP’ button
VIEWING RECORDED VIDEO
Whilst in ‘Preview’ mode, to view recorded video files,
first access and view the folder on the SD Card by
pressing the ‘Folder’ button.
Use the or to scroll up and down if there is
more than one folder.
Press the ‘SEL’ (Select) button to select and to view
the files within the folder.
Use the or to scroll up and down through the files
Todelete files and folders press twice.
Press the ‘SEL’ (Select) button to select the file and to
view the video.
Toplay video press ‘Play’ button. Use this button to

9. CHARGING THE BATTERIES
N.B. When charging the batteries ensure that the AC adapter is NOT plugged in, damage to the
equipment may occur.
The internal and auxiliary external battery are charged by the same charger supplied with the system.
To charge the internal Battery
The power switch on the Handset should be switched off, and the charger 3 pin plug connected to the
socket on the underside of the Handset. The charger can then be plugged into a suitable mains outlet
and switched on. The charger will display a Red LED until fully charged then it will display Green.
To charge the internal Button Battery
The power switch on the Handset should be switched off, and the charger 3 pin plug connected to the
charging socket on the underside of the Handset. The charger can then be plugged into a suitable
mains outlet and switched on. Turn the DS100 Handset on and charge for 6 hours. After 6 hours turn
the DS100 Handset off and remove the charger. The internal Button Battery which runs the internal
clock is now fully charged.
THIS MUST BE DONE ONCE A MONTH.
10. POWERING THE SYSTEM FROM AN AC ADAPTER
N.B When the AC adapter is plugged in ensure that the battery charger is NOT as damage to the
equipment may occur.
The System can be powered from an AC adapter in the event that the battery is exhausted or if
prolonged surveillance is being carried out from a stationary position.
A 12V AC adapter can be plugged into the power jack on the back of the Handset to supply power to
the system.
11. QUICK TIPS
If you see a “Stick Figure” symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen the unit has been switched
to Imotion and will start recording when there is movement in front of the camera lens. Refer to DVR
System Settings Screen 4 to change.
If the recorder starts to record automatically at system power on the recorder has been switched to
Auto. Refer to DVR System Settings Screen 4 to change.
Blue Screen –If you encounter a Blue screen and the LED on the LCD Control panel is Red, the
screen has been switched into a standby mode. To switch back press the SEL button on the LCD
control panel once!
