Warnings and Precautions

3. Unplug this unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use

4. Do not use this unit in or near water.

may fall, causing serious damage.
6. Slots and openings on the cabinet top, back, and bottom are
provided for ventilation. To ensure safe and reliable operation of this
unit, and to protect it from overheating, do not block or cover these

as the ventilation openings on the bottom of the cabinet will be
blocked. This unit should never be placed near or over a heat register
or radiator. This unit should not be placed in a built-in installation

indicated on the marking label of the AC adapter. If you are not sure
of the type of power available, consult your Datavideo dealer or your
local power company.
8. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this
unit where the power cord will be walked on, rolled over, or
otherwise stressed.

9. If an extension cord must be used with this unit, make sure that the
total of the ampere ratings on the products plugged into the
extension cord do not exceed the extension cord’s rating.
10. Make sure that the total amperes of all the units that are plugged
into a single wall outlet do not exceed 15 amperes.
11. Never push objects of any kind into this unit through the cabinet
ventilation slots, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short
out parts that could result in risk of fire or electric shock. Never spill
liquid of any kind onto or into this unit.
12. Except as specifically explained elsewhere in this manual, do not
attempt to service this product yourself. Opening or removing covers
may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks, and will
void your warranty. Refer all service issues to qualified service
personnel.
13. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer to qualified service
personnel under the following conditions:
a. When the power cord is damaged or frayed;
b. When liquid has spilled into the unit;
c. When the product has been exposed to rain or water;
d. When the product does not operate normally under normal operating
conditions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating
instructions in this manual; improper adjustment of other controls may
result in damage to the unit and may often require extensive work by a
qualified technician to restore the unit to normal operation;
e. When the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged;
f. When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating
a need for service.
Warranty
Standard Warranty
Datavideo equipment are guaranteed against any manufacturing
defects for one year from the date of purchase.

The original purchase invoice or other documentary evidence should
be supplied at the time of any request for repair under warranty.
The product warranty period begins on the purchase date. If the
purchase date is unknown, the product warranty period begins on
the thirtieth day after shipment from a Datavideo office.
All non-Datavideo manufactured products (product without
Datavideo logo) have only one year warranty from the date of
purchase.
Damage caused by accident, misuse, unauthorized repairs, sand, grit
or water is not covered under warranty.
Viruses and malware infections on the computer systems are not
covered under warranty.
Any errors that are caused by unauthorized third-party software
installations, which are not required by our computer systems, are
not covered under warranty.
All mail or transportation costs including insurance are at the
expense of the owner.
All other claims of any nature are not covered.
All accessories including headphones, cables, and batteries are not
covered under warranty.
Warranty only valid in the country or region of purchase.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Three Year Warranty
All Datavideo products purchased after July 1st,
2017 are qualified for a free two years extension
to the standard warranty, providing the product is
registered with Datavideo within 30 days of
purchase.
Certain parts with limited lifetime expectancy such as LCD panels,
DVD drives, Hard Drive, Solid State Drive, SD Card, USB Thumb Drive,
Lighting, Camera module, PCIe Card are covered for 1 year.
The three-year warranty must be registered on Datavideo's official
website or with your local Datavideo office or one of its authorized
distributors within 30 days of purchase.

Disposal
For EU Customers only - WEEE Marking
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that
this product must not be disposed of with your other
household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose
of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated
collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of
disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled
in a manner that protects human health and the environment. For more
information about where you can drop off your waste equipment for recycling,
please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or
the shop where you purchased the product.

1. Proudct Overview
BC-15P is a whole new design compact POV camera. 1/2.3” 4K CMOS sensor
captures high quality images and incredible details that present every subtle
expression of the player. Built-in fixed lens, leave user no extra worries for
finding suitable, but costly lens. With its SRT output, Single ethernet cable
carries video (SRT), control (DVIP), and power (PoE), it makes setting up a new
angle so much easier. And the three 1/4” screw holes bring the flexibility of
mounting it anywhere, anyway.
BC-15P is one of the best choice for capturing eSport players with the wide
angle lens that comes with the package. While changing back to the standard
lens, it will fulfill the other wide range applications.

Front of Camera

Lens
The lens is Manual Focus, which means you will need to twist the lens to
Focus.
Before adjusting the camera lens, please face to the back panel of
the BC-15P at first.
Twist the lens clockwise: Focus Near
Twist the lens counter-clockwise: Focus Far
Note: The lens you have should be the standard lens mounted on.
There are two different camera lenses for the BC-15P including
“Standard Lens” and “Wide-angle Lens”. Please refer to the following
table for details.

As both lenses are F1.0 fixed IRIS, the depth of field is quite small,
especially with closer object.
Note: When changing the camera lens of the BC-15P, please remember
to change the selection of the camera lens from “OSD Menu ->
Camera Setting-> Lens Select”.

Tally LED
This tally LED will light up when it receives a tally signal from a
controller which supports the DVIP control protocol. When powering
on, the tally LED of the BC-15P will light up in the sequence of orange,
green, and red. After that, the tally LED will be off.

Rear of Camera

MENU button
You can open the OSD menu of the BC-15P 4K POV camera when
pressing this “MENU” button while the BC-15P is connecting to an
external monitor. The OSD menu provides many options including
“Zoom”, “Gain Limit”, “White Balance”, “Exposure”, “Image Setting”,
“Camera Setting” and “Video Output” for your further configuration.

UP-Arrow (Zoom In ) button
When the OSD menu of the BC-15P is opened, this button is used as an
Up-Arrow key for you to move up the arrow icon on the OSD menu.
When the “Button Shortcut” option in the OSD menu is selected as “On”
and the OSD menu is not open, you can press this button directly for
zooming in.

Down-Arrow (Zoom Out) button
When the OSD menu of the BC-15P is opened, this button is used as a
Down-Arrow key for you to move down the arrow icon on the OSD
menu.
When the “Button Shortcut” option in the OSD menu is selected as “On”
and the OSD menu is not open, you can press this button directly for

zooming out.

Right-Arrow(GAIN+) button
When the OSD menu of the BC-15P is opened, this button is used as a
Right-Arrow key for you to move to the right side or move to the next
page of the OSD menu.
When the “Button Shortcut” option in the OSD menu is selected as “On”
and the OSD menu is not open, you can press this button directly for
increasing the “GAIN” value.

Left Arrow(Gain-) button
When the OSD menu of the BC-15P is opened, this button is used as a
Left-Arrow key for you to move to the left side or move to the previous
page of the OSD menu.
When the “Button Shortcut” option in the OSD menu is selected as “On”
and the OSD menu is not open, you can press this button directly for
decreasing the “GAIN” value.

Right Panel of the Camera

LINE/MIC IN
This is a 3.5mm headphone jack for you to connect to an external audio
source with “LINE IN” or to connect to a stereo microphone to be the
audio source with “MIC IN(stereo)”to be an embedded audio source
when live-streaming to streaming platforms such as Facebook or
Youtube.

DC IN 12V
DC in socket connects the supplied 12V PSU. The connection can be
secured by screwing the outer fastening ring of the DC In plug to the
Socket.

HDMI
Please use an HDMI cable to connect from this HDMI interface to the
HDMI interface of an external monitor or a switcher, and then the real-
time screen which is shot by the BC-15P will be shown on the external
monitor or the switcher.

POE/LAN/DVIP
This RJ-45 Ethernet interface allows you to transfer PoE(Power over
Ethernet), LAN, and DVIP control signals with an RJ-45 Ethernet cable
only. This interface allows for PoE, video streaming, and DVIP remote
controlling for the BC-15P camera at the same time.

4. Basic Setup
4.1 Power-On Initial Settings
Please follow the following steps for setting the initial settings of the BC-15P
(take the system diagram as an example).
1. Please use three DC 12V power adapters to connect to the “DC IN 12V”
power interfaces which are located on the right panel of the three BC-15P
cameras respectively.
2. Please use three HDMI cables to connect from the HDMI interfaces which
are located on the right panel of the three BC-15P cameras to the “VIDEO IN
HDMI 1”, “VIDEO IN HDMI 2” and “VIDEO IN HDMI 3” interfaces which are
located on the rear panel of the Datavideo ShowCast 100 4K ShowCast Studio
respectively.
3. Please use an HDMI cable to connect from the HDMI interface of your
laptop to the “VIDEO IN HDMI 4” interface which is located on the rear panel
of the ShowCast 100.
4. Please use three Ethernet cables to connect from the “LAN/POE/DVIP”
interfaces which are located on the right panels of the three BC-15P cameras
to three LAN interfaces which are located on the rear panel of the first router.
5. Please use an Ethernet cable to connect from the LAN interface which is
located on the rear panel of the first router to the “DVIP” interface which is
located on the rear panel of the ShowCast 100.
6. Please connect two microphones with XLR interface to the “MIC INPUT
CH1” and “MIC INPUT CH2” XLR balanced audio input interfaces which are
located on the rear panel of the ShowCast 100 respectively.
7. Please use an RCA male-to-male cable to connect from the RCA OUT L/R
interface which is located on the rear panel of your audio playing device to the
“Audio Input RCA L/R” interface which is located on the rear panel of the
ShowCast 100.
8. Please use a headphone with a 3.5mm plug to combine with a 3.5mm
female to RCA male adapter cable. After that, please connect this headphone

to the “Audio OUT RCA L/R” interface which is located on the rear panel of the
ShowCast 100 for monitoring the audio externally.
9. Please use an HDMI cable to connect from the “VIDEO OUT PGM1” HDMI
interface which is located on the rear panel of the ShowCast 100 4K ShowCast
Studio to an HDMI interface of an external large panel display for displaying
the PROGRAM screen output.
10. Please use an HDMI cable to connect from the “VIDEO OUT PGM2” HDMI
interface to the “HD/4K HDMI” interface which is located on the rear panel of
the HDR-80 ProRes 4K Video Recorder-Desktop for recording the PROGRAM
screen.
11. Please use an HDMI cable to connect from the “VIDEO OUT PGM 3” HDMI
interface to the “HDMI IN” interface which is located on the rear panel of the
Datavideo HDR-1 H.264 USB Recorder to do the backup video recording for the
“PROGRAM” screen output.
12. Please use an HDMI cable to connect from the “CG PREVIEW” HDMI
interface which is located on the rear panel of the ShowCast 100 4K ShowCast
Studio to the “VIDEO INPUT HDMI 1” interface which is located on the rear
panel of the Datavideo TLM-170L 17.3” 3G-SDI TFT LCD Monitor for previewing
the CG text or pictures which will be overlaid on the PROGRAM screen output.
13. Please use an Ethernet cable to connect from the “STREAM” interface
which is located on the rear panel of the ShowCast 100 4K ShowCast Studio to
the LAN interface which is on the rear panel of the second router. Moreover,
please make sure that the “WAN” interface of this router is connected to an
RJ-45 Ethernet interface of the fixed network by an Ethernet cable in advance
for streaming the “PROGRAM” screen of the ShowCast 100 4K ShowCast
Studio to cloud streaming platforms such as Youtube, Datavideo dvCloud or
WOWZA.

5. OSD menu
The chapter 5 will introduce the OSD menu of the BC-15P camera.
5.1 OSD menu
On-Screen Menu allows the user to modify various camera settings. Please
press the “MENU” button which is located on the rear panel of the BC-15P to
enter the OSD menu which is shown as below.
