Getting Started with Your Hypex
NCx500 Amplifiers
Please take a moment to review the following details on your new Hypex NCx500 Amplifiers.
What's Included
● Assembled amplifier
● Printed test results
● Power cord
● Allen wrench for front cover
Cabling Requirements
● Balanced XLR-to-XLR or TRS-to-XLR cables are preferred
● For single-ended RCA sources, use the cable configuration in diagram 1 below

● Requires a minimum 13 amp, 3-prong power cord
Break-in period
When you first turn on the amplifiers, allow approximately 20 minutes warm-up time before critical
listening. After the amplifiers have broken in for several hours, the starting warm-up time should be
approximately five minutes.
Changing the amplifier gain settings
Gain is adjustable with the following jumpers shown on the amplifier board image.

Installation
Be sure to install your Hypex Class D amplifier with adequate ventilation. You’ll need at least one inch
on top of the unit, preferably with an open front and rear.
