GENERAL INFORMATION
The timing capacity is 100 hours to 1 second. The unit
may be set to count down and alarm, or count up and
alarm. A “thru-zero” feature counts to the programmed
time, alarms, and counts up. A memory function recalls
the last programmed time. An audible alarm sounds for
one minute when a programmed time is reached. A visual
alarm ashes constantly until manually turned off. A time-
out feature allows the timer to be stopped for “off” periods
and restarted. The clock mode displays time-of-day to the
second, has a time-of-day alarm, and sounds an hourly
signal.
COUNT DOWN ALARM TIMING
1. Press the MODE key until TMR appears on the dis-
play. If the timer is running, press the STOP key to
stop the timer. Press the RESET key to clear the dis-
play to zero. Press the (▲▼) key until ▼ appears on
the display (▼ indicates count down timing).
2. Press the number keys 0 through 9 to set desired
hours, minutes and seconds. Example: to set 89
hours, 53 minutes, 27 seconds—press 8,9,5,3,2,7.
Example: to set 12 minutes, 32 seconds—press
1,2,3,2. Example: to set 58 seconds—-press 58.
3. When the desired amount of time appears on the
display, press the START key to begin timing down.
4. When the timer reaches zero an electronic tone will
sound and the display will ash TIME’S UP. The tone
will sound for one minute and then turn oft automatical-
ly to preserve battery life. To turn the audible alarm off
manually, press any key. At zero the timer begins tim-
ing up. This feature displays the amount of time which
has elapsed since zero. When the alarm is sounding,
the rst press of any key turns off the electronic tone.
Then press the STOP key to stop the UP timing. Press
RESET to clear the display: The timer will only clear
when time is stopped.
CORRECTING AN ENTRY
If an error is made during an entry, press the RESET key
to clear the display to zero. If you wish to clear an entry
when time is running, you must rst stop the timing by
pressing the STOP key, then press the RESET key. The
timer will only clear when time is stopped.
COUNT UP ALARM TIMING
1. Press the MODE key until TMR appears on the display.
If the timer is running, press STOP to stop the timer.
Press the RESET key to clear the display to zero.
Press the (▲▼) key until ▲ appears on the display
(▲ indicates count up timing).
2. Press the number keys 0 through 9 to set desired

The timer automatically starts at zero and begins count-
ing up.
4. When the programmed time is reached an electronic
tone will sound and the display will ash TIME’S UP.

programmed time is reached, the display returns to zero
and begins timing up. This feature displays the amount

press the STOP key to stop the UP timing. Press the
RESET key to clear the display. The timer will only clear
when time is stopped.
MEMORY FUNCTION (Count Down or Up Timing)
When timing repetitive intervals, the memory function will
recall the last programmed time. It allows the user to dedicate
the timer to a frequently timed test. The timer will return to the
desired time period again and again.
Set a programmed time in either up or down timing. Press
START. When the alarm sounds, press any key to stop the
tone from sounding. Press the STOP key to stop the dis-
play from counting up. Press the MEMORY key to display
the original programmed time. Press the START key to
begin a memory time.
You may repeat this process as often as needed. Note:
If RESET is pressed when the time is stopped, it clears
the display and the memory.
You may view the time in the memory while the timer is
running by holding down the MEMORY key. When the
MEMORY key is released, the display returns to the
running time.
TIMEOUT
The timer may be stopped during any running time by
pressing the STOP key. Timing may be resumed by
pressing the START key.
STOPWATCH TIMING
1. Press the MODE key until TMR appears on the
display. If the timer is running, press STOP to stop
the timer. Press the RESET key to clear the display
to zero. Press the (▲▼) key until ▲ appears on
the display (▲ indicates count up timing).
2. Press the START key to start timing. The timer may
be stopped by pressing the STOP key and restarted
by pressing the START key (timeout function). When
timing has been completed and the timer has been
stopped, press the RESET key to clear the display
to zero.

TIME-OF-DAY CLOCK SETTING
1. Press the MODE key until CLK appears on the display.
Press the (▲▼) key and SET will appear on the
display.
2. Press number keys 0 through 9 to set the time-of-day.
Example: for 10:32 PM press 1,0,3,2. Press MEMORY
for PM. Press (▲▼) to enter the time and start the
seconds counting.
TIME-OF-DAY ALARM SETTING
1. Press MODE Key until CLK appears on the display.
Press RESET and AL will appear on the display. Press
the (▲▼) key and SET will appear on the display.
2. Press number keys 0 through 9 to set the time-of-day
alarm. Example: to alarm at 3:21 PM press 3,2,1.
Press the MEMORY key for PM. Press (▲▼) to enter
the alarm time. The “(((A” on the display indicates the
alarm is on and will sound at the alarm time. Press the
RESET key to return to the clock mode.
3. When the time-of-day alarm time is reached, a tone
will sound for four minutes and then turn off automati-
cally to preserve battery life. To turn the audible alarm
off manually, press any key while the timer is in any
mode.
4. To turn the time-of-day alarm on or off, press the
MODE key to enter the CLK mode. Press START/
STOP to prevent the alarm from sounding, “(((A” dis-
appears from display. Press START/STOP to activate
the alarm, “(((A” appears on the display.
Note: When the time-of-day alarm is activated a tone will
sound for four seconds every hour on the hour. To stop
the hourly tone the time-of-day alarm must be turned off.
5. To review a time-of-day alarm time, place the timer
in the clock mode and press RESET once. Press the
RESET key to return to the clock mode.
ILLEGAL TIMES
Entering more than 59 minutes in the minutes’ digits or
59 seconds in the seconds’ digits, or entering a number
greater than 12 hours when setting the time-of-day will
prompt an alarm and an E (error message) on the display
when the START key is pressed. Press RESET to clear
the display and enter a legal time.
BATTERY
An incorrect display or no display indicates that the
battery should be replaced. Equivalent battery replace-
ments are: RAYOVAC RW42, DURACELL 0357, and
EVEREADY 357.Insert the battery with the positive side
facing you.
