and install updates on your Nodes:
1. Press and hold all three buttons on Dio Node at once.
The light on the back panel will flash. Node will now check for new

FAQs
10
Why does it take a moment for my audio to start playing from Dio Node?
This is completely normal. Your speakers first collect a slight buffer of audio
so that they can all stay perfectly in sync even if their streaming connection
is inconsistent.
Why don’t phone calls come through my Dio Nodes?
Because Dio Node doesn’t have built-in microphones, it cannot take phone
calls. As such, phone calls won’t play on Dio Node.
Why don’t certain apps play on my Dio Nodes?
The only types of sounds that won’t get transmitted to Dio Node are audio
calls and system sounds. If an app is not transmitting its audio to Dio Node,
that is because the app has classified its sound as an audio call. Apps that
classify sounds as “regular” audio content will automatically stream to Dio
Node when connected to your speakers.
How many Dio Nodes can link together at once?
There is no limit!
Can others in my home also use these speakers?
Yes! Any compatible Apple devices on your Wi-Fi network will be able to
connect to your speakers with no additional steps. Just open the AirPlay
menu on other Apple devices to access the speakers from them.

Can I connect my Dio Nodes to my TV?
Dio Node doesn’t work directly with televisions, but it does work with Apple
TV Gen. 4 (tvOS 11.4) or later. For more information on using Dio with Apple
TV, visit dioconnect.com/how-it-works.
FAQs (Cont.)
11
Does Dio Node work with Mac or Windows computers?
There is limited native functionality on Mac and iTunes on Windows. You
can get a 3rd party app like Airfoil (Mac) or TuneBlade (Windows) to expand
to full functionality. For more information on Mac and Windows
compatibility, visit dioconnect.com/how-it-works.
Can Dio Node work with other speakers?
Dio Node can be used with any other Apple AirPlay 2-enabled speakers,
including brands like Sonos, Bose, Bang & Olufsen, etc. You just need to
select those speakers along with Dio Node from your AirPlay menu. You
can see a list of compatible 3rd party speakers, soundbars, and other audio
accessories at dioconnect.com/compatible-speakers.
Can Dio Node do smart home stuff?
Dio Node has no built-in microphones or voice assistants, but can do some
additional smart home functions if desired. Go to the (Optional) Voice
Assistant & Extra Features section (pg. 6) for more information.
