dirna, s.a. para ser utilizado en el interior de las cabinas de vehículos,
sin ningún mantenimiento en particular.
SUN está diseñado con la más avanzada tecnología para lograr un ecaz
rendimiento, un mínimo de consumo ofreciendo una aportación de calor
suciente como para calentar el espacio requerido en un tiempo mínimo.
Son características que lo hacen muy particular en el mercado de
climatización para vehículos.

IMPORTANTE
1 - El equipo eléctrico de calefacción debe ser instalado en
lugares protegidos de humedades y agua.
2 - Proteger los cables de objetos cortantes, altas temperaturas,
humedades y agua.
3 - Por SEGURIDAD, siempre al realizar cualquier intervención
en los equipos eléctricos, apagar y desconectar los
mismos.
4 - NO TOCAR las resistencias cuando el equipo esté en
funcionamiento.
5 - PRESTAR ATENCIÓN, y no tapar las salidas de aire cuando
el equipo esté en funcionamiento.
Es muy importante leer previamente el manual de instrucciones
que se adjunta con el equipo, el cual indica las recomendaciones
y consejos para la instalación y uso.
Prestar especial ATENCION, a las advertencias indicadas;
dado que ante la inobservancia de ellas anularía el uso de la

Panel de control
1 - Tecla On/off: Encendido y apagado del equipo.
2- Indicador On/off: El indicador permanece encendido cuando el equipo está
en funcionamiento, parpadea cuando el equipo esta encendido pero tiene
programada una hora de auto-apagado y se mantiene apagado cuando el
equipo no está en funcionamiento.
3 - Tecla Automático/manual: Cambia el modo de funcionamiento seleccionado
entre Modo automático y Modo manual.
4- Indicador Automático/manual: El indicador permanece encendido en el Modo
automático, y apagado en el Modo manual.
5- Tecla Despertador: Activa y desactiva la función de encendido automático
temporizado (Modo despertador).
6- Indicador Despertador activado: El indicador permanece encendido si esta
activado el encendido automático temporizado (Modo despertador).

Encendido y apagado del equipo
Para encender el equipo, pulsar la tecla On/off. El equipo arrancará siempre en
Modo Automático y con una temperatura consigna de 20ºC (68ºF). Para apagar el
equipo basta con volver a presionar la tecla On/Off. Una vez pulsada dicha tecla,
el equipo continuará soplando unos segundos para garantizar el enfriamiento de la
resistencia calefactora. En el display se mostrará una cuenta atrás con el tiempo
restante para apagarse, junto a la palabra OFF.
El equipo incluye la posibilidad de programar una hora de encendido (Modo
Despertador), así como mantenerse encendido durante un tiempo determinado
antes de apagarse automáticamente (Modo Auto-apagado). Su utilización se
detallará más adelante.
Si el equipo detecta una tensión de batería demasiado baja, se apagará
automáticamente evitando que se descargue demasiado la batería del vehículo.
La próxima vez que se encienda el equipo, se mostrará en el display el mensaje de
error Errb (Error batería) durante algunos segundos.
7- Tecla Acceso a Menú: Entra en el Modo Menú y cambia de parámetro a
congurar.
8- Tecla Derecha/conrmar: Dentro del Modo Menú mueve el cursor a la derecha
y/o conrma selección.
9- Tecla Izquierda: Dentro del Modo Menú mueve el cursor a la izquierda.
10 - Tecla Menos: Disminuye temperatura consigna en ModoAutomático, disminuye
velocidad de soplador en Modo Manual y disminuye parámetro seleccionado
en Modo Menú.
11 - Tecla Más: Aumenta temperatura consigna en Modo Automático, aumenta
velocidad de soplador en Modo Manual y aumenta parámetro seleccionado en
Modo Menú.
12 - Indicador de Batería: Muestra el estado de la batería del vehículo. Si la barra
esta entera el valor de batería es elevado. Según la batería va agotándose, se
apagarán secuencialmente los segmentos del indicador.

Modos de funcionamiento
Modo conguración
MODO AUTOMÁTICO:
El equipo muestra una temperatura consigna, la cual puede congurarse con la Tecla
Más y la Tecla Menos entre los 18ºC (64ºF) y los 23ºC (73ºF) y alternativamente
mostrará la hora actual. De manera automática, se ajustará la velocidad del soplador
y la potencia del equipo para alcanzar la temperatura deseada de forma óptima. Si
se presiona la Tecla automático/manual se cambiará a Modo Manual.
MODO MANUAL:
En este modo, con la Tecla Más y la Tecla Menos puede controlarse la velocidad
del soplador y la potencia del equipo de manera manual, seleccionando entre 4
velocidades distintas. Por defecto comenzara en la primera velocidad.
Los displays mostrarán la velocidad seleccionada unos segundos al entrar al Modo
Manual y cada vez que se cambie la velocidad, tras esto pasarán a mostrar la hora
actual.
Lacuarta velocidadsopla airesin calentar, pararealizar la función de desempañado.
El resto de velocidades sopla aire caliente con un mayor o menor volumen de aire
en función de la velocidad.
Si se presiona la Tecla automático/manual se cambiará el modo de
funcionamiento a Modo Automático.
MODO MENÚ:
Al presionar la Tecla Menú con el equipo en funcionamiento, se accede al menú
de conguración del equipo, donde podrán congurarse la hora actual, la hora del
despertador, el tiempo restante para auto-apagado, el reconocimiento del mando a
distancia, seleccionar el tipo de temperatura (ºC/ºF) y el formato horario (12H/24H) en
ese orden. El equipo continuará funcionando mientras se está en el Modo Menú.

Una vez dentro del menú, con cada nueva pulsación de la Tecla Menú pasaremos
al siguiente parámetro congurable sin guardar las modicaciones del parámetro
actual. Para que el equipo guarde las modicaciones hay que conrmar pulsando la
Tecla Derecha una vez se esté en el campo mas a la derecha del parámetro actual. Si
en 20 segundos no se ha pulsado ninguna tecla, el equipo saldrá automáticamente
del Modo Menú sin guardar las modicaciones del parámetro actual.
A continuación se detallan los distintos parámetros congurables:
1 - Conguración de hora actual: Permite ajustar la hora, con la Tecla
Más y la Tecla Menos se aumentan o disminuyen los minutos y
las horas (El campo seleccionado se muestra parpadeando).
Para guardar la hora, posicionarse a la derecha, con los minutos
parpadeando y pulsar la Tecla Derecha. Al hacer esto se pasará
automáticamente a la siguiente conguración.
2 - Conguración de hora de encendido automático: Permite introducir
la hora a la que el equipo se encenderá automáticamente siempre
que este activado el Modo Despertador (El Indicador Despertador
estará encendido). Su ajuste se realiza de la misma forma que la
conguración de hora actual. Para distinguirlo del ajuste de hora, el
punto decimal del 2º digito más a la izquierda del display permanecerá
encendido como se muestra a continuación: 00.:00
3 - Conguración de tiempo restante para auto-apagado: Permite
introducir cuánto tiempo queremos que pase hasta que el equipo se
apague automáticamente. Si dicho tiempo es distinto de 00.00 se
activara el Modo Auto-apagado. El tiempo máximo será de 05.59.
Mientras este modo este activo, el indicador On/off permanecerá
parpadeando. Para distinguirlo del resto de ajustes, el punto decimal
del segundo digito más a la derecha del display permanecerá
encendido, como se muestra a continuación: 00:0.0
4 - Reconocimiento de mando a distancia: Permite congurar
el mando a distancia. El equipo muestra en los displays PUSH,
indicando que se pulse alguna tecla del mando. Al pulsar cualquiera
de las teclas del mando, el equipo reconoce automáticamente el
mando a distancia, emite un pitido. SI el mando ya estaba activado
anteriormente para el equipo, desactivará dicho mando y mostrará

OFF en los displays. Si no estaba activado anteriormente, mostrará
On en los displays. Pulsando la Tecla Derecha se conrmarán los
cambios, pasando a la siguiente conguración.
5 - Conguración del formato de temperatura:
Permite seleccionar entre ºC y ºF pulsando la Tecla Más y
la Tecla Menos. Pulsando la Tecla Derecha se confirma la
selección.
6 - Conguración del formato horario: Permite seleccionar el formato
horario del equipo. Con la Tecla Más y la Tecla Menos se cambia
entre 24H y 12H. Pulsando la tecla Derecha se conrma la selección.
En el formato 12H, el punto decimal del digito más a la derecha del
display hace las funciones del indicador de PM.
Mando a distancia
Función de las teclas del mando a distancia:
1 - Encendido / apagado del equipo.
2 - Cambia entre Modo Automático y Modo Manual si el equipo esta
encendido. Si el equipo está apagado, enciende o apaga el Modo
Despertador (Y el indicador correspondiente).
3 - En Modo Automático aumenta la temperatura consigna y en Modo
Manual aumenta la velocidad.

4 - En Modo Automático disminuye la temperatura consigna y en Modo
Manual disminuye la velocidad.
Como activar y desactivar el mando a distancia:
Con el equipo encendido, pulsar la tecla Menú hasta que en los displays se visualice
“PUSH”. Una vez que se visualiza “PUSH” pulsar cualquier tecla del mando a distancia
y el equipo emitirá un pitido y si el mando no estaba activado anteriormente mostrará
ON en los displays. Pulsando la Tecla Derecha se activará el mando.
Si el mando estaba activado anteriormente, tras emitir el pitido, mostrará OFF en los
displays. Pulsando la Tecla Derecha el mando quedará desactivado.

1 - The electrical heating unit must be installed in areas which
are protected from moisture and water.
2 - Protect the cables from sharp objects, high temperatures,
moisture and water.
3 - For SAFETY REASONS, always turn off and disconnect the
electrical unit before any intervention.
4 - DO NOT TOUCH the resistors when the unit is running.
5 - TAKE CARE to not cover the air outputs when the unit is
running.
It is very important to rst read the instructions manual enclosed
with the unit, which contains recommendations and tips for
installation and use.
Pay special ATTENTION to the warnings shown; since any
breach of them will render the WARRANTY void.

Control panel
1 - On/Off Key: Turns the unit on and off.
2- On/off indicator: The indicator remains on when the unit is running, ashes
when the unit is on but is scheduled to turn off automatically in one hour, and
remains off when the unit is not running.
3 - Automatic/manual key: Changes the selected operating mode between
Automatic and Manual mode.
4- Automatic/manual indicator: The indicator remains on in Automatic mode and
off in Manual mode.
5- Wake Key: Enables and disables the timer auto-on function (Wake
mode).
6- Wake indicator enabled: The indicator remains on if timer auto-on is enabled
(Wake mode).

Unit on and off
Press the On/Off key to turn on the unit. The unit will always start up in Automatic
Mode with a set-point temperature of 20°C (68ºF). To turn off the unit, simply press
the On/Off key again. After pressing this key, the unit will continue blowing for a few
seconds in order to ensure the cooling of the heater resistor. The display will show a
countdown with the time remaining to shutdown, next to the word OFF.
The unit includes the option to schedule a start time (Wake Mode), and to remain
on for a specied time before shutting down automatically (Auto-off mode). Use is
detailed further below.
The unit will go off automatically if excessively low battery power is detected, thus
preventing the vehicle battery from becoming too at. The next time the unit is
turned on, the display will show the error message Errb (Battery Error) for a few
seconds.
7- Menu Access Key: Enters Menu Mode and changes the parameters to be
congured.
8- Right Key/conrm: In Menu Mode, moves the cursor to the right and/or conrms
selection.
9- Left Key: In Menu Mode, moves the cursor to the left.
10 - Minus Key: Decreases set-point temperature in Automatic Mode, decreases
blower speed in Manual Mode and decreases the selected parameter in Menu
Mode.
11 - Plus Key: Increases set-point temperature in Automatic Mode, increases
blower speed in Manual Mode and increases the selected parameter in Menu
Mode.
12 - Battery Indicator: Displays the state of the vehicle battery. If the bar is full, the
battery value is high. The indicator segments will go off sequentially when the
battery starts to run out.

Operation modes
Conguration mode
AUTOMATIC MODE:
The unit displays a set-point temperature, which can be congured using the Plus
and Minus keys at between 18ºC (64ºF) and 23ºC (73ºF), and alternatively displays
the current time. The blower speed and unit power will be automatically adjusted to
optimally reach the required temperature. Pressing the Automatic/Manual key will
change to Manual Mode.
MANUAL MODE:
In this mode, the Plus and Minus keys can be used to manually control the blower
speed and unit power, selecting from 4 different speeds. By default it begins in the
rst speed.
The displays show the selected speed a few seconds after entering Manual Mode
and every time speed is changed, and then displays the current time.
The fourth speed blows unheated air, in order to perform the Demisting Function.
The other speeds blow hot air with greater or lesser air volume, depending on the
speed.
Pressing the Automatic/Manual key will change the operating mode to
Automatic Mode.
MENU MODE:
Pressing the Menu Key with the unit running will access the conguration menu of
the unit, where the current time, wake time, time remaining for auto-off, recognition
of the remote control, type of temperature (°C/ºF) and time format (12H/24H)
can be congured, in this order. The unit will continue to operate whilst in Menu
Mode.

Once in the menu, pressing the Menu Key will move onto the next congurable
parameter without saving any modications of the current parameter. In order to
save the parameters, conrm by pressing the Right Key once in the rightmost
eld of the current parameter. If no key is pressed within 20 seconds, the unit
will automatically exit Menu Mode without saving the modications of the current
parameter.
Detailed below are the different congurable parameters:
1 - Conguring current time: The time can be set using the Plus and
Minus keys to increase or decrease the minutes and hours (the
selected eld ashes). To save the time, go to the right with the
minutes ashing and press the Right Key. Doing this automatically
switches to the next conguration.
2 - Conguring auto-on time: Allows the time at which the unit will
automatically come on to be entered, provided Wake Mode is enabled
(the Wake Indicator will be on). Adjustment is the same as for the
current time setting. To differentiate it from the time setting, the decimal
point of the second leftmost digit of the display will remain on as shown.
00.:00
3 - Conguring time remaining for auto-off: Allows the time which
should pass until the unit automatically powers off to be entered. If
this time is any other than 00.00, Auto-off mode will be enabled.
The maximum time is 05.59. Whilst this mode is active, the On/
off indicator will continue to ash. To differentiate it from the other
settings, the decimal point of the second rightmost digit of the display
will remain on as shown 00:0.0
4 - Remote control recognition: Allows the remote control to be
congured. The unit displays show PUSH, indicating that any remote
control key should be pressed. The unit automatically recognises
the remote control and gives out a beep when any remote control
key is pressed. If the remote control was previously enabled for
the unit, the displays will show OFF and this remote control will be
disabled. If it was not previously disabled, the displays will show
On. Pressing the Right Key will conrm the changes and move to
the next setting.

5 - Conguring temperature format:
Allows selection between °C and °F by pressing the Plus and Minus
keys. Pressing the Right Key conrms the selection.
6 - Conguring time format: Allows the unit’s time format to be
selected. Use the Plus and Minus keys to switch between 24H and
12H. Pressing the Right key conrms the selection. In 12H format
the decimal point of the rightmost digit of the display acts as the PM
indicator.
Remote control
Remote control keys function:
1 - Unit on/off.
2 - Changes between Automatic Mode and Manual Mode if the unit is on. If
the unit is off, it turns Wake Mode on or off (as well as the corresponding
indicator).
3 - In Automatic Mode it increases the set-point temperature, whilst in
Manual Mode it increases the speed.

4 - In Automatic Mode it decreases the set-point temperature, whilst in
Manual Mode it decreases the speed.
How to enable and disable the remote control:
With the unit on, press the Menu key until the displays show “PUSH”. Once “PUSH”
is displayed, press any key on the remote control and the unit will beep; if the remote
control was not previously enabled the displays will show ON. The remote control is
enabled by pressing the Right Key.
If the remote control was previously enabled, the displays will show OFF after giving
out the beep. The remote control is disabled by pressing the Right Key.
