INSTALLATION
LOCATEthe receiverinthe roomwheredirectlightdoesnotstrikethe screen.Totaldarkness

mended forcomfortableviewing.
ALLOWenough spacebetween the receiverand the wall topermitproperventilation.

ThisTVreceivercan be connected toAC:220-240V~50Hz.
AUTOMATICDEGAUSSING
All colourtelevision receiversaresensitivetomagneticinfluences,usuallycaused byeither
moving the receiverfromone placetoanotherorusing certainelectricalappliancesnearthe
receiver.Thisresidualmagnetismasitiscalled,sometimescausesdistortion whichgivesrise
to"blotchy"areasofcolourinthe picture.Toavoidtheseeffectsthe receiverincorporatesan
automaticdegaussing circuitwhichoperatesforashortwhileimmediatelyeachtimethe
receiverisswitched onusing the mainsswitch.Thiscircuitremovesanyresidualmagnetismin
the metalpartsofthe picturetube and thereforeensuresthateachtimethe receiverisswitched
lifelike.If the setismoved orfaced inadifferentdirection,the mainsswitchmustbe switched
off atleast10 minutesinorderthatthe automaticdegaussing circuitoperatesproperly.

Beforeusing the remotecontrol,batteriesmustfirstbe installed.
HOWTOINSTALLBATTERIES
1.Slide the batterycompartmentcoverout.
2.Install two(2)“AA”batteries(notincluded)intoeach
remote,paying attentiontothe polaritydiagraminthe
batterycompartment
3.Replacethe batterycompartmentcover.
CAUTION:
1. Onlyadultsshouldreplacebatteries.
2.Donotmixoldand newbatteries.
3.Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteries.Donotmixalkaline,standard(carbon-zinc),or
rechargeable(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
4.Useonlyfreshbatteriesofthe required sizeand recommended type.
5.Disposeofoldbatteriespromptlyand properly.Donotburnorburythem.
6. If you do notplan touseyourunitforaprolonged period,removethe batteries.Batteries
can leakchemicalsthan can harm electronicparts.

Pushthe MainPowerSwitch,PowerIndicatorwill be illuminated.Afterfewsecondsthe TV
screen will lightup and will showinterferenceon the screen.The TVwill requiretuning intothe
availableTVstationsinyourarea.

Press the “ +/-” button to select a higher or lower channel number.
0~9 Numberic Button
To select a TV station using A buttons 0~9.
For example:

For example:selecting PROGRAMME “12”
1. Press the -/-- button, on screen will show --.
2. Press the number “1” button,on screen will show “1-”.
3. Press the number “2” button,channel “12” will show.
lThree digit Programme number
For example:selecting PROGRAMME “123”
1. Press the -/-- button twice, on screen will show ---.
2. Press the number “1” button,on screen will show “1--”.
3. Press the number “2” button,on screen will show “12-”.
4. Press the number “3” button,on screen will show “123”.
POWER ( ) Button
lPress the button to switch the picture and sound ON/OFF the picture and sound.
MUTE Button
lPress the Mute button to switch OFF the sound,press once again to switch ON the sound.
INPUTButton
lPress the INPUT mode button to select VIDEO mode.Press again to go back to TV mode.
TV/DVD Button
lPress the TV/DVD mode button to select DVD mode. Press again to go back to TV mode.
(There will be a few seconds delay before entering the DVD mode).
AUTOPOWER-OFF FUNCTION
lWhen the TVisinTVorAV(video)mode and it’s withoutasignalforabout6minutes,itwill
automaticallypoweroff(standbymode)tosavethe energy.

BASICOPERATION
1.Press “TV/AV/DVD”button on the unitorpress the TV/DVDdirectkeyon the remotehandset
toturnonDVD.
2.Press “OPEN/CLOSE (EJECT)”()button toload disc indisc tray.
3.Press “OPEN/CLOSE”()button toclosethe tray.
•Holdthe disc withouttouching eitherofitssurfaces,position itwiththe printed titleside
facing up.
Play Discs
1.Press the OPEN/CLOSE ()button onthe frontpaneland load the Disc on the tray.
The labelside shouldbe facing upwards.ForaDouble-sided DVDDisc,putthe disc withlabel
A/1up.
2.Press the OPEN/CLOSE ()button againtoclosethe trayand the disc will be loaded.
3.The Disc will be played automatically.
•If itisaDVDdisc,itwill showthe Menu/TitlePage onthe screen.
•If itisaCD,itwill playfromthe first.
4.Press the STOPbutton,ifyou wanttostop the Disc playback You can resumeplayback by
pressing the PLAY button and itwill startatthe location whereyou havepressed stopped
(ResumePlay).
5.Press the STOPButton twicetostop playback completelyand returntothe start.
TOACCESS THEQUICK STARTMENUS:
Toaccess the Quick Startmenus,whichwill allowyou tochange the three mostpopularsettings,
perform the following:
1.Whileinthe DVDisinStop mode,press the SETUPbutton toenterthe Setup Menu.
2.Press the PLAY/ENTERbutton toselectQuick setup().
3.Continue withsteps4-5inthe nextsection.
