INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
44"/50" RAM BLOWER
P/N 44" 539 130360 / 50" 539 130372
Remove mower deck from chassis. Refer to Opera-1. tor's Manual if necessary. Pull out deflector pin and
remove deflector chute. Remove existing chute
hinge support, retaining hardware for reuse.
Attach blower mount bracket to deck with existing2. hardware and tighten to 70-80 ft./lbs.
Remove right pulley guard.3.
From under the mower deck, remove shaft from4. right blade spindle.
WARNING!
Blades are sharp. Protect your hands
with gloves and/or wrap blades with a
heavy cloth when handling.
Install new shaft. Use existing deck pulley. Install5. spacer and key from kit, as shown in illustration.
Install pulley and secure with original flat washer
and 1½ bolt from kit. Orient the raised portion of
pulley hub to the bottom.
Install idler pulley using 1¾ bolt, placing spacer6. under pulley. Secure with nyloc nut.
Individual preference for either HiLift or LoLift7. blades may vary, depending on mowing conditions
and type and heaviness of grass to be bagged.
Tighten blade, attaching hardware to 60-70 ft./lbs.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Attach blower housing assembly to mower deck8. with blower housing butted snugly against dis-
charge opening and horizontal tip guard under
deck stiffener strap.Attach blower assembly to
blower mount bracket using deflector pin removed
in Step 1. The outside wall of blower should be as
vertical as possible. If blower is tilted excessively
it could come off. If necessary, loosen hardware
in slots and reposition blower assembly. Tighten
mounting hardware securely.
Loosen tip guard hardware and position to contact9. under side of deck stiffener. Tighten hardware.
Install mower deck and blower assembly to10. mower chassis. Ensure that the blades are level
with the deck and the deck is pitched correctly.
Make any adjustments before proceeding.

Install blower drive belt so blower rotation is clock-11. wise when viewed from the operator's position.
To assist with belt installation, tighten the nut on12. the threaded spring rod a few turns. This will pull
the flat idler forward and allow more clearance
with the V-idler. Once belt is in place, loosen the
nut on the threaded spring idler for proper belt
tension.
Install belt guard to blower assembly using ¼"13. washers and ¼" wing nuts.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Install blower and deck assembly to the mower11. chassis. Ensure that blades are level with the deck
and the deck is pitched correctly. Make any adjust-
ments before proceeding.
Install blower drive belt so blower rotation is clock-12. wise when viewed from the operator's position.
