Battery replacement
The clock radio has two battery compartments. The
batteries in the small compartment on the rear side of
the LCD panel are responsible for displaying the time
and date, the ones in the bigger compartment on the
bottom side for radio operation.
So depending on whether the time display is not
showing, or the radio doesn’t work replace the
batteries in the corresponding compartment.
And this is how to do it:
Changing the batteries for time display
ØUnscrew the screw fixing the battery compartment
cover using a small screw driver for recessed-head
screws.
ØRemove the battery compartment cover and take
out the batteries (if necessary).
ØInsert two unused batteries (1,5V, Typ V10GA, LR54,
not enclosed) according to the layout plan shown in
the battery compartment. When doing so, you have
to comply exactly with the correct polarity, otherwise
the clock will not function and may get damaged.
Changing the batteries for radio operation
ØOpen the battery compartment on the bottom side
of the unit.
ØRemove the battery compartment cover and take
out the batteries (if necessary).
ØInsert two unused batteries (1,5V, size “AAA”, not
enclosed) according to the layout plan shown in

the battery compartment. When doing so, you
have to comply exactly with the correct polarity,
otherwise the radio will not function and may get
damaged.
ØTo ensure a longer and more useful economic life,
you should use Alkaline batteries.
ØClose the respective battery compartment.
ØBatteries must not be disposed of in domestic
waste. Please hand in used batteries at the
proper collection point or at the place where
you have bought the new ones. Never throw
batteries into fire.
Setting the time and date
ØPress the MODE key once. Now 12 Hr starts
flashing in the display. Press the UP key, to change
the time display format from 12-hour to 24- hour
format.
ØIf you press the SET key the hours start flashing.
Press the UP or DOWN key repeatedly or keep
them pressed until the desired number of hours is
displayed.
ØPress the SET key once again and the minutes
start flashing. Press the UP or DOWN key
repeatedly until the desired number of minutes is
displayed.
ØPress the SET key once again and the year start
flashing. Press the UP or DOWN key until the
required year is shown.

ØIf you press the SET key once again, the months
start flashing. Press the UP or DOWN key until the
desired month is shown.
ØIf you press the SET key once again, the days start
flashing. Press the UP or DOWN key until the
desired day is shown.
ØIn order to complete the setting, press the MODE
key twice. Now, the time and date are shown in the
display as well as the temperature.
Setting the alarm
ØPress the ALARM key, then the SET key. Now the
hours of the alarm time start flashing. Press the UP
oder DOWN key to set them to the required alarm
time.
ØIf you press the SET key the minutes of the alarm
time start flashing. Press the UP oder DOWN key to
set them to the required alarm time.
ØIf you press the SET key again you can choose from
9 different alarm chimes using the UP/DOWN keys.
ØNow press the MODE key three times to return to
the time display. The alarm sign “AL” appears in
the display.
ØNow you can activate the snooze function by
pressing the UP key. The snooze symbol
appears in the display.
ØAt the selected time, you will hear the selected
chime.

ØPress the ALARM key in order to stop the alarm. If
you have previously activated the snooze function,
the unit will repeat the alarm after some minutes.
If you don’t want that press the UP key after
having stopped the alarm.
ØIn normal time display the device can show the
alarm time by pressing the alarm key. Press the
MODE button three times to return to the normal
time display.
ØTo deactivate the ALARM function, press the
ALARM key once, then press the SET key 5 times.
Now press the MODE key 3 times to return to
normal time display. The ALARM indicator (AL)
dissapears.
Memo function
You can let the device remind you of certain dates.
ØPress the MODE key three times.
ØNow press the SET key, then use the UP / DOWN
keys to successively set:
HOUR => MINUTE => YEAR => MONTH => DAY
acknowledge each item by pressing the SET
button. If you press the MODE key twice you can
exit these settings.
ØWhen the chime sounds you push any key to
cancel it.

Countdown function
The device can count down a certain period of time (23
hours 59 minutes max.) and then emit an acoustic
signal.
ØIn order to activate this function, press the MODE
key four times. 0-00 appears in the upper display,
00 in the lower one.
ØIf you press the SET key, the hours will flash. Press
the UP /DOWN keys until the required hour is
shown.
ØIf you press the MODE key again, the minutes will
flash. Press the UP / DOWN keys until the required
minutes are shown.
ØThen press the SET key. Now the device starts
counting down the entered time to 0. During that
time the symbol is flashing in the display. In the
upper display window you see the hours and
minutes, in the lower one the seconds. After one
minute the device returns to normal time display.
ØPress the MODE key four times to change back to
the coutdown display.
ØIf the device has reached the end of entered time,
you will hear a beep. Press any key to cancel that
beep.

Temperature display
ØIn the lower display window you see the current
temperature. Press the SET key to toggle the scale
unit from celsius (°C) to fahrenheit (°F) and
reverse.
FM tuner
We have equipped the device with a FM tuner. To
optimize the reception please completely pull out the
rod antenna.
ØTo switch the radio on turn the VOLUME control
clockwise.
ØTo increase the volume turn the VOLUME control
clockwise. To lower the volume turn it
counterclockwise.
ØTo tune in the radio stations turn the TUNING
control. Turn it clockwise to tune in stations with a
high frequency. Turn it counterclockwise to tune in
stations with a lower frequency.
Waste disposal
ØWhen the operating life of this
device has ended it must not be
disposed as domestic waste, but in
accordance with national
environmental guidelines.
