Arctic Wolf quick user guide
Square Switches:
Save Saves the current settings. Press once to save in position 1, press 3 times to
save in position 3... Max 8.
Recall Recalls saved settings. Press once to recall settings 1, press 4 times to recall
settings 4…. Wait 2sec for change. Return RATE to 0 to exit recall
Shift Sets the amount of phase shift stages in use. 4, 6 or 12. 12 is heaps of phase
depth, 4 is not so much depth. In any Stereo mode only 6 is selectable.
Shape Select the control waveform (LFO), ∆Triangle, ᴨSquare, ∩Sine, ..Random
or ᴓManual (rate knob sweeps phase like a filter).
Config
M/D: Defaults to Mono in Dual out. This means one input (either jack) feeds
the phaser and you get 2 outputs with the same signal. You could hook up
two signal chains. Great for Gat!
M/S: Mono in Stereo Out. This means your one input (either input 1 or 2)
feeds 2 separate 6 stage phasers.
Each output (1 and 2) is out of phase with the other so you get cool stereo
effects when you hook up 2 amps. Great for Gat or keys!
S/S: Stereo in Stereo Out. This makes the phaser into 2 separate 6stage
phasers.
Input1 feeds through to output1, input2 feeds through to output2. Both are out
of phase for great stereo panning. Great for keyboards or post production!
P/T: Phase/Tremolo. This turns the phaser into a pseudo tremolo and a
phaser.
Input 1 is a 6 stage phaser, input 2 is a pseudo tremolo. The 2 pulse out of
phase. Great for Gat! Feed output 1 into input 2 to use both at the same time!
Multiply This sets the tap multiply function. 1 = 1:1, 3 = 3:1 and so on. Tap slow then
speed it up by selecting a higher number. Great for double time or multiples of
your songs tempo

Variable controls:
Rate Adjust the speed of the phaser. From once every 100seconds to 100Hz.
Symmetry Adjusts the shape of the control waveform. Fast rise-slow fall, Slow rise-fast
fall and anything in between. With the knob pointing to the middle the
waveform will be symmetrical. Check out the examples below:
Resonance Adjusts the intensity of the phasing effect. This will go all the way to self-
oscillation, watch out!
Lower Adjusts how long the phaser stays at the bottom of the waveform. From not at
all to 2 seconds. Think of it as freezing the frequency of your guitar at the
bottom of the phasing. Here is a triangle wave example:
Upper Adjusts how long the phaser stays at the bottom of the waveform. From not at
all to 2seconds. Think of it as freezing the frequency of your guitar at the top
of the phasing.
Here is a triangle wave example:

Input Drive. Crank it and drive the inbuilt distortion stage, turn it down for standard
tones. (not saved)
Foot-Switches:
Tap/Recall When all the square switches are lit this is TAP tempo. When only the Recall
square switch is lit, Recall is its function.
Hold down this switch for 2secs and it becomes the Recall switch, release
then press it once to recall position 1, 3 times for position 3 and so on. Leave
it for 2secs and your preset will load.
Hold it down for 2 secs and it will default back to Tap tempo.
Bypass When the ENGAGED led is lit the effect is in circuit. When it’s out channel
one is true bypass, channel two is buffered bypass.
Jacks:
In1 and In2 –Check the Config section to see where each signal goes
Out1 and Out2 –Check the Config section to see where each signal comes from
CV in Plug an external CV (LFO) into the Phaser. Link effects pedals, or sync with your
computer etc. (0-5VAC signal)
CV out Use the powerful inbuilt CV (LFO) to run other effects or a synth LFO. Connect this
to the CV in on your synth with a standard Jack to Jack.
EXP1 Plug an expression pedal in to control the Rate
Recall Connect the Dogmatek recall footswitch to recall the settings on all your Dogmatek
pedals easily.
