RoomClimate Control
Wood,whenfirstcutcontainsmorethan50percentwater.Whenitispreparedforfurniture
constructionit is placedinaKilnand the moisture contentis broughtdownto8to10 percent. Wood
is porous and responds toits environment. Ifthe roomhas highhumidityit will absorbit and expand
and if the humidityis low it will lose moisture and shrink.
Itis importantthatthe humiditylevels inthe room be controlledfrom extremes oftoo much
humidityor too little. Furniture shouldnotbe placedclose toair-conditioningoutlets, fireplaces,
radiators,spaceheaters,humidifiersordehumidifiers.Exposuretoextremevariations of
temperature and humiditycandamage anyfine woodproduct.
TheIdealEnvironmentforFineFurniture
Fine woodfurniture will have fewer problems whenits environmentis controlledatatemperature
between65and75degreesandarelativehumiditybetween35and40percent.Woodplacedin an
environmentoutside ofthose limits canand willshrink or expand and may developsome small
crackswhicharenotmaterialorstructuraldefects.
StickingDoorsandDrawers
Withminorchangesintemperatureandhumidity,doorsanddrawersmayswellandbe
difficult toopenor close. Tolerances have beenbuilt intothe units butextreme conditions may still
cause sticking. This will adjustbacktonormalover time butuntil it does, consider usinga
dehumidifier or rub candle wax or paraffinonthe sides thatstick.
AvoidDirectSunlight
Keepthe furniture outofdirectsunlight. Ultravioletrays will fade colors and in some cases
darkenthem.Itcanalsocausecrazingorhairlinecracksinthefinish.Whitefinisheswillyellow
naturallyover time and exposure todirectsunlightwill hastenthis naturalprocess alongwith some
woods darkeningnaturallyover time;this isnotconsideredtobe aqualitydefect.
Proper Storage
Ifyouneedtoputyour furniture instorage for anyperiodoftime, donotplace furniture inadamp
basementor hotdryattic. Allow air movementaround the furniture and donotstackanythingonit.

distortthe naturalfinishofthe product.
Donotwax the furniture as wax buildup candestroy the naturalfinishofthe product.
Whenmovingfurniture always lift the unit. Donotpushor drag it toavoid damage tothe legs.
Keepthefurniturelevelsodoorsanddrawersopenandclosefreely.
Cleanwithadamp,notwet,cloth.Useonlyamildsoap.Donotuseabrasivecleaners.

FALL HAZARD:
WHEN CHILD IS ABLE TO PULL TO STANDING POSITION, SET MATTRESS TO LOWEST
POSITION AND REMOVE BUMPER PADS, LARGE TOYS AND OTHER OBJECTS THAT

Failure to follow these warnings and assembly instructions could result in serious

DO NOT place bed near windows where cords from blinds or drapes may
strangle a child.
DO NOT place items with a string, cord, or ribbon around a childs neck, such as
hood strings or pacifier cords.
DO NOT suspend strings over a toddler bed for any reason.
The mattress intended for use on the bed shall be a full size crib mattress having
the dimensions of 51 5/8 in (1310mm) in length and 27 1/4 in (690mm) in width
with a thickness not exceeding 6 in (152mm). The minimum thickness of the mattress
should be 4 in (100mm).
The minimum age of the intended user shall not be less than 15 months and the
maximum weight shall not be greater than 50 Lbs (22.7Kg).
