Battery Installation

●Push the battery socket with gold
contacts toward the gold contacts of
the battery compartment of the
device and press the battery
down. When the battery reaches
the bottom of the battery
compartment the battery will
automatically lock in place.
●
An external 7VDC to 28VDC supply can be used instead of the rear mounted
battery pack.
Recharge the Battery
●Please use the recommended AC Adapter-Charger power supply to charge the
battery.
●Please recharge the battery fully BEFORE each use.
●During recharging the red indicator light is on. After recharging the green
indicator light is on.
Sun-Shade (3-piece hood)
Install the Sun-Shade
●3 pieces of baffles make up the sun-shade. First install the sides of main body
then install the top baffle.
●When you disassemble the sun-shade please take off the top baffle then the
right and left sides.

Operation Instructions
Power on/off
●To turn on the monitor press and hold the power button. Release it when the
red light is on.
●To turn off the monitor press (and hold) the power button and release it after the
monitor shuts off.
Working Mode

●The DIV
RX1
and RX2 modes are factory configured for all seven channels on
Band F (fully compatible with 5.8GHz ImmersionRC and FatShark).
Diversity Mode (normal applications)
●The duel antenna diversity function automatically selects the antenna (ANT1 and
ANT2) with the highest signal strength (RSSI) for best RF link.
●Antenna LED will show the current selecting antenna (strongest signal).
●< - > and < + > button controls the RF channel change. There are 7-channels are
available and they must match the channel used by the video transmitter.
●The DIV AV OUT jack is used for connecting a video recorder or an external
display.
NOTE: DIV AV OUT ONLY works under the diversity mode.
RX1 and RX2 Mode (special applications only)
●Under this mode the RF channel of RX1 and RX2 can be set up separately.
●< - > button selects the RX1 channel and the < + > button selects the RX2
channel.
●
The RX1 AV OUT and RX2 AV OUT jacks can be used to connect external
monitors for viewing two different video transmitters at the same time.
●If there is only one transmitter being used then diversity mode is recommended
instead of RX1/RX2 mode.
●When using the RX1/RX2 modes with two transmitters be sure to space their RF
channels far apart to avoid adjacent channel interference.

AV IN Mode
●The AV IN mode is for external NTSC/PAL video and audio signals. For example,
you can connect the Black Pearl to any quality made FPV receiver (900MHz,
1.2GHz, 1.3GHz, etc.).
●In AV IN mode the internal wireless receivers automatically shut down to extend
battery life.
HDMI Mode
●HDMI can input HD video to show much clearer image and automatically adapt to
the resolution (the maximum input 1920X1080/60Hz).
●In HDMI mode the internal wireless receivers automatically shut down to extend
battery life.
●Pressing the mode button during the HDMI mode may have slow response. This
is a normal behavior.

Function Instructions
ZOOM Function
●Vertical Scaling
This function can alter the vertical size (zoom) scaling. Long press < > button to
ZOOM IN
long press < > button to ZOOM OUT (back to original scale)
Attention: HDMI does not support vertical scaling.

●Horizontal Scaling
This function can alter the horizontal size (zoom) scaling.
The default is 16:9 mode (ZOOM IN full screen display). To change the setting please
enter the menu->Function-> Display Ratio and choose 4

9 screen format. For

The scaling functions can be used to obtain the display format that you want. For
example, the images shown above can be made to appear as follows:

DNR
When an external signal is input the DNR (digital noise reduction) can be used to
reduce video noise caused by some types of RF interference. The DNR features may
not function on all interference so please experiment with it to see if it helps your
video image.
Display Direction
In the menu, Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical can control video display direction. Flip
Horizontal is for image mirror display. Flip Vertical is for upside down display.
- This feature helps CAMERA inverted installations.
- Attention: The screen icon will also change display direction
