Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
• Das Gerät ist zum Braten und Grillen von Lebensmitteln bestimmt.
• Das Gerät ist für den privaten Gebrauch, nicht für eine gewerbliche Nutzung geeignet.
• Das Gerät nur für den angegebenen Zweck und nur wie in der Gebrauchsanleitung
beschrieben nutzen. Jede weitere Verwendung gilt als bestimmungswidrig.
• Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachgemä-
ße Behandlung, Beschädigung oder Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies gilt auch
für den normalen Verschleiß.

Bebilderungen und technischen Daten, mit denen dieses
Gerät versehen ist, lesen. Versäumnisse bei der Einhaltung

■ Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Per-
sonen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und / oder Wissen be-
nutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des siche-
ren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus
resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■ Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder
durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie sind älter als 8 Jahre und

Anschlussleitung fernzuhalten.
VORSICHT: Heiße Oberfl äche! Das Gerät wird während
des Gebrauchs sehr heiß. Unbedingt darauf achten, dass
während und nach der Benutzung des Gerätes keine auf-
geheizten Teile berührt werden. Ausschließlich Griff e und
Regler berühren, während das Gerät in Betrieb ist oder
unmittelbar nach dem Ausschalten. Das Gerät nur trans-
portieren bzw. verstauen, wenn es vollständig abgekühlt
ist. Geeignete Küchenhandschuhe verwenden.
■ Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeitschalt-
uhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem betrieben zu werden.

■ Im Interesse der eigenen Sicherheit das Gerät und die An-
schlussleitung vor jeder Inbetriebnahme auf Beschädigungen
überprüfen. Das Gerät nur benutzen, wenn es funktionsfähig ist.
■ Wenn das Gerät oder die Anschlussleitung beschädigt sind,
müssen diese durch den Hersteller, den Kundenservice oder
eine ähnlich qualifi zierte Person (z. B. Fachwerkstatt) ersetzt
werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
■ Unbedingt die Reinigungshinweise im Kapitel „Reinigung und
Aufbewahrung“ beachten!
GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■ Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen verwenden.
■ Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit verwenden.
■ Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten
eintauchen und sicherstellen, dass diese Komponenten nicht ins Wasser fallen oder
nass werden können.
■ Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen, sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbrechen. Nicht ver-
suchen, das Gerät aus dem Wasser zu ziehen, während es an das Stromnetz an-
geschlossen ist!
■ Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung niemals mit feuchten Händen berühren, wenn
diese Komponenten an das Stromnetz angeschlossen sind.
WARNUNG – Verletzungsgefahr
■ Kinder und Tiere von Kunststoff beuteln und -folien fernhalten. Es besteht Ersti-
ckungsgefahr.
■ Sicherstellen, dass die Anschlussleitung stets außer Reichweite von Kleinkindern
und Tieren ist. Es besteht Strangulationsgefahr.
■ Während des Betriebes kann heißer Dampf aus dem Gerät austreten. Kopf und
Hände daher aus der Gefahrenzone fernhalten. Es besteht Verbrühungsgefahr
durch Hitze und heißen Dampf.
■ Die Grillplatte des Gerätes wird sehr heiß. Beim Aufl egen und Entnehmen der
Lebensmittel vorsichtig sein! Gegebenenfalls eine Küchenzange aus Kunststoff
oder Holz verwenden. Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr.
■ Das Gerät darf während des Betriebes nicht bewegt werden. Es besteht Verbren-
nungsgefahr.
■ Darauf achten, dass die Anschlussleitung keine Stolpergefahr darstellt. Das Netz-
kabel darf nicht von der Aufstellfl äche herabhängen, um ein Herunterreißen des
Gerätes zu verhindern.

WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■ Das Gerät nicht in Räumen verwenden, in denen sich leichtentzündlicher Staub
oder giftige sowie explosive Dämpfe befi nden.
■ Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit anderen Verbrauchern (mit hoher Wattleistung) an
eine Mehrfachsteckdose anschließen, um eine Überlastung und ggf. einen Kurz-
schluss (Brand) zu vermeiden.
■ Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■ Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von brennbarem Material betreiben. Keine brennbaren
oder leicht schmelzenden Materialien (z. B. Pappe, Papier, Holz, Kunststoff ) in oder
auf das Gerät legen.
■ Das Gerät während des Betriebes nicht abdecken, um einen Gerätebrand zu vermei-
den. Für ausreichende Belüftung sorgen, während das Gerät in Betrieb ist.
■ Nahrungsmittel nicht in Frischhaltefolie, Kunststoff beuteln oder Papier verpackt auf
die Grillplatte legen.
■ Das Gerät nicht als Heizung verwenden.
■ Im Brandfall: Nicht mit Wasser löschen! Flammen mit einer feuerfesten Decke oder
einem geeigneten Feuerlöscher ersticken.
HINWEIS – Gefahr von Material- und Sachschäden
■ Das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose mit Schutzkontakten,
die mit den technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmt, anschließen. Die Steck-
dose muss auch nach dem Anschließen gut zugänglich sein, damit die Netzverbin-
dung schnell getrennt werden kann.
■ Darauf achten, dass das Netzkabel nicht gequetscht, geknickt oder über scharfe
Kanten gelegt wird und nicht mit heißen Flächen in Berührung kommt (dies gilt auch
für die heißen Flächen des Gerätes!).
■ Ausschließlich hitzebeständige Utensilien zum Aufl egen und Entnehmen der Lebens-
mittel verwenden. Metallgegenstände oder sonstige scharfkantige Gegenstände vom
Gerät fernhalten. Diese könnten die Antihaftbeschichtung der Grillplatten beschädi-
gen. Wir empfehlen hitzebeständige Küchenutensilien aus Holz oder Kunststoff zu
verwenden.
■ Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, wenn wäh-
rend des Betriebes ein Fehler auftritt, bei einem Stromausfall oder vor einem Ge-
witter.
■ Das Gerät niemals an der Anschlussleitung ziehen oder tragen. Beim Herausziehen
aus der Steckdose immer am Netzstecker und nie am Netz kabel ziehen!
■ Das Gerät vor anderen Wärmequellen, off enem Feuer, Minustemperaturen, lang
anhaltender Feuchtigkeit, Nässe und Stößen schützen.
■ Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Herstellers verwenden, um die Funktionsweise des
Gerätes nicht zu beeinträchtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu verhindern.

prüfen. Bei Schäden das Gerät nicht verwenden, sondern den Kundenservice kontak-

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
1. Eventuelle Folien, Aufkleber oder Transportschutz vom Gerät abnehmen. Niemals
das Typenschild und eventuelle Warnhinweise entfernen.
2. Das Gerät kann mit möglichen Produktionsrückständen behaftet sein. Um gesund-
heitliche Beeinträchtigungen zu vermeiden, das Gerät vor dem ersten Gebrauch
gründlich reinigen und anschließend für einige Minuten aufheizen. Dafür den An-
weisungen in den Kapiteln „Reinigung und Aufbewahrung“, „Gerät aufstellen“ und
„Benutzung“ befolgen.
Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme kann es durch produktionsbedingte Zusätze (z. B.
Fett) zu leichter Rauch- und / oder Geruchsentwicklung kommen. Dies ist normal
und kein Defekt des Gerätes.

Gerät aufstellen
BEACHTEN!
■ Das Gerät nicht unter Küchenoberschränke o. Ä. stellen. Durch den aufsteigenden
Dampf könnten diese Schaden nehmen!
■ Das Gerät darf nur in waagerechter Stellung in Betrieb genommen werden, niemals
auf der Seite stehend oder schief stehend.
1. Das geschlossene Gerät mit einem Freiraum zu den Seiten (mind. 20 cm) und nach
oben (mind. 30 cm) auf einen ebenen, festen, wärmebeständigen und gegen Fett-
spritzer unempfi ndlichen Untergrund aufstellen.
2. Die Fettauff angschale (5) in das Gehäuseunterteil einsetzen.
Benutzung
BEACHTEN!
■ Das Gerät darf während des Betriebes nicht unbeaufsichtigt gelassen werden!
Die Grillplatten (1, 8) haben zwar eine Antihaftbeschichtung, wir empfehlen jedoch,
sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch leicht einzufetten. Kein Kochspray verwenden, da
es die Antihaftbeschichtung angreifen kann!
1. Das Gerät an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose anschließen. Darauf
achten, dass die Anschlussleitung während der Benutzung nicht mit heißen Flächen
in Berührung kommen kann. Die Betriebleuchte leuchtet, solange das Gerät an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
2. Den Temperaturregler (3) auf die Position MAX stellen. Das Gerät hat Betriebs-
temperatur erreicht, wenn die Heizkontrollleuchte aufl euchtet.
3. Den Deckel (6)) aufklappen.
In senkrechter Position rastet der Deckel ein. Soll er ganz umgeklappt werden,
den Deckel in der senkrechten Position nach oben ziehen und umklappen. Der
Griff (7) dient dann als Standfuß.
4. Die Speisen, die zubereitet werden sollen, auf die untere Platte (1) legen und ggf.
den Deckel zuklappen.
5. Gegebenenfalls die Temperatur anpassen.
Beachten: Wenn die Heizkontrollleuchte erlischt und wieder aufl euchtet, bedeutet
dies, dass das Gerät den Heizvorgang unterbricht. So wird eine konstante Tempe-
ratur gehalten.
6. Die Speisen entnehmen, wenn sie den gewünschten Gar- und Bräunungsgrad er-
reicht haben. Beachten: Zur Entnahme der Speisen nur hitzebeständige Küchen-
helfer aus Holz oder Kunststoff verwenden.
7. Nach der Benutzung den Temperaturregler auf die Position 0 stellen und das Gerät
vom Stromnetz trennen.
8. Das Gerät vollständig abkühlen lassen und anschließend reinigen

BEACHTEN!
■GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr! Das Gerät ist vor dem Reinigen stets vom Netz
zu trennen.
■ Das Gerät ist nicht spülmaschinengeeignet.
■ Niemals kaltes Wasser während oder direkt nach dem Gebrauch des Gerätes auf die
Grillplatten spritzen. Dies könnte die Antihaftbeschichtung beschädigen!
■ Zum Reinigen keine ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel, keine Reini-
gungssprays sowie rauhe Schwämme oder Messer verwenden. Diese können die
Oberfl äche beschädigen.
Das Gerät sofort nach jedem Gebrauch reinigen, um Keimbildung vorzubeugen. Keine
Lebensmittelreste antrocknen lassen.
1. Vergewissern, dass das Gerät komplett abgekühlt und vom Stromnetz getrennt ist!
2. Speisereste von den Grillplatten (1, 8) entfernen.
3. Die Fettauff angschale (5) aus dem Gehäuseunterteil herausziehen, entleeren und
mit etwas Spülmittel und warmem Wasser oder in der Spülmaschine reinigen.
4. Die Grillplatten mit einem nassen Schwamm und etwas mildem Spülmittel reinigen.
5. Das Gehäuse mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen.
6. Das Gerät anschließend mit einem weichen Tuch abtrocknen.
7. Das Gerät für Kinder und Tiere unzugänglich an einem trockenen, sauberen, frost-
freien Ort aufbewahren.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Problem selbst
behoben werden kann. Lässt sich mit den genannten Schritten das Problem nicht lösen,
den Kundenservice kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, ein elektrisches Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren!

■ Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
away from the device and the connecting cable.
CAUTION: Hot surface! The device will become very hot
during use. It is essential to make sure that no heated
parts are touched while using and after using the device.
Only touch the handles and controls while the device is
in operation or immediately after it has been switched off .
Only transport or store away the device when it has cooled
down completely. Use appropriate oven gloves.
■ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
or a separate remote control system.
■ In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device and the
connecting cable for damage each time before you use it. Use
the device only if it is in working order.
■ If the device or the connecting cable are damaged, these
parts must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service
department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e. g. specialist
workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
■ It is essential to follow the cleaning instructions in the “Cleaning
and Storage” chapter!
DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
■ Use the device only in closed rooms.
■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
■ Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water or other liquids and
ensure that these components cannot fall into water or become wet.
■ Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains
power!
■ Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when these
components are connected to the mains power.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■ Keep children and animals away from plastic bags and fi lms. There is a danger of
suff ocation.
■ Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small children
and animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
■ Hot steam can escape from the device during operation. You should therefore keep
your head and hands out of the danger zone. There is a danger of scalding from heat
and hot steam.

■ The grill plate of the device will become very hot. Be careful when placing on and
removing the food! If necessary, use kitchen tongs made of plastic or wood. There is
a danger of burns.
■ The device must not be moved during operation. There is a danger of burns.
■ Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard. The mains cable
may not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent
the device from being pulled down.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and
explosive fumes.
■ Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a
multiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■ Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.
■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any
combustible materials or materials that melt easily (e. g. cardboard, paper, wood,
plastic) in or on the device.
■ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re.
Ensure that there is suffi cient ventilation while the device is in operation.
■ Do not place food wrapped in cling fi lm, plastic bags or paper on the grill plate.
■ Do not use the device for heating.
■ In the event of a fi re: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the fl ames with a fi reproof
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■ Only connect the device to a plug socket with safety contacts that is properly installed
and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily
accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be
isolated.
■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (this also applies to the hot surfaces of
the device!).
■ Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the non-stick
coating of the grill plates. We recommend the use of heat-resistant kitchen utensils
made from wood or plastic.
■ Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation, when there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm.
■ Never pull or carry the device by the connecting cable. When you pull it out of the plug
socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■ Protect the device from other heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures,
persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
■ Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid damage.

Before Initial Use
1. Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never
remove the rating plate and any possible warnings.
2. There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful eff ects
to your health, clean the device thoroughly before you fi rst use it and then heat it up
for a few minutes. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Storage”,
“Setting Up the Device” and “Use” chapters.
When the device is fi rst used, production-related additives (e. g. grease) may
cause a small amount of smoke and / or an odour to be produced. This is normal
and not a device defect.
3. Clean the device again.

Setting Up the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
■ Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
■ The device may only be operated in a horizontal position, never on its side or tilted.
1. Always set up the closed device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and
clear space above it (at least 30 cm) on a fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface that is
resistant to splashing fat.
2. Insert the fat collecting tray (5) into the bottom part of the housing.
Use
PLEASE NOTE!
■ The device must not be left unattended during operation!
Although the grill plates (1, 8) have a non-stick coating, we still recommend that
you lightly grease them before fi rst use. Do not use any cooking spray as it can
attack the non-stick coating!
1. Connect the device to a properly installed socket. Make sure that the connecting
cable cannot come into contact with hot surfaces during use. The operating lamp
lights up when the device is connected to the mains power.
2. Turn the temperature control dial (3) to the MAX position. The device has reached
operating temperature when the heating control lamp lights up.
3. Flip open the lid (6).
The lid engages in the vertical position. If it is to be folded all the way down, pull
the lid upwards in the vertical position and fl ip it down. The handle (7) then acts
as a foot to rest on.
4. Place the food that is to be prepared on the bottom plate (1) and fl ip down the lid if
necessary.
5. Adjust the temperature if necessary.
Please Note: If the heating control lamp goes out and lights up again, this means that
the device is interrupting the heating process. This maintains a constant temperature.
6. Remove the food when it is as cooked and as brown as you want it to be. Please
Note: Use only heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils to remove the food.
7. After use move the temperature control dial to the 0 position and disconnect the
device from the mains power.
8. Allow the device to cool down completely and then clean it.

Cleaning and Storage
PLEASE NOTE!
■DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock! The device must always be disconnected from
the mains power before it is cleaned.
■ The device is not dishwasher-safe.
■ Never spray cold water onto the plates during or immediately after use of the device.
This could damage the non-stick coating!
■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning sprays, rough
sponges or knives to clean the device. These may damage the surface.
Clean the device immediately after every use to prevent the formation of germs. Do not
allow any food residues to dry on.
1. Make sure that the device has completely cooled down and has been disconnected
from the mains power!
2. Remove any food residues from the grill plates (1, 8).
3. Pull the fat collecting tray (5) out of the bottom part of the housing, empty it and clean
it with a little detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.
4. Clean the grill plates with a wet sponge and a little mild detergent.
5. Wipe down the housing with a damp cloth.
6. Then dry off the device with a soft cloth.
7. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is not accessible to children and
animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact
our customer service department.
