Preparation
Please read entire manual before installation.
Before You Start
•Disconnectnegativebatteryterminal.Consultaqualifiedtechnicianforinstructions.
•Avoidinstallingtheunitwhereitwouldbesubjecttohightemperatures,suchasfrom
directsunlight,orwhereitwouldbesubjecttodust,dirtorexcessivevibration.
Getting Started
•Removetrimringfromunit.
•Remove2transitscrewslocatedontopoftheunit.
•Insertthesuppliedkeysintotheslotsasshown,andslidetheunitoutofthemounting
sleeve.
•Installmountingsleeveintoopening,bendingtabstosecure.
•Connectwiringharnessandantenna.Consultaqualifiedtechnicianifyouareunsure.
•Certaininstallationsmayrequireaninstallationkitand/orwiring
harnessadapter(soldseparately).
•Testforcorrectoperationandslideintomountingsleevetosecure.
•Snaptrimringintoplace.

leftsidetosecure.
Press oranyotherbuttontoturntheuniton.Press to
turntheunitoff.
PressMODEtoselectbetweenAM/FM,USB,SDorauxiliary
inputmodes.Modesofoperationareindicatedinthedisplay.
SDandUSBmodeswillnotappearunlessanSDCardis
insertedoraUSBdeviceisconnected.
TheMXD105offersa3.5mmauxiliaryinputportonthefront
paneloftheunitforconnectinganaudiodevice,MP3player,
etc.PressMODEtoselectauxiliaryinputmode.
Adjustvolumeusingvolumeknob(00-47).
Theradiofrequency(tunermode)orMP3/WMAtitle/track
information(USBandSDmodes)willbeshownbydefault.
PressDISPtodisplaytheclock.Thedefaultdisplaywill
returnafterfiveseconds.
WheninUSBorSDmode,thedisplaywillalternatebetween
tracknumber/elapsedtimeandavailableMP3/WMA
information,includingfilename,songtitle,artistname,
album name and folder name.
Press RESETuponinitialinstallationorifabnormal
operationoccurs.Resetbuttonislocatedbehindthefront
panel.
Withtheuniton,pressandholdDISPuntiltheclockbegins
toflash,thenrelease.Turnthevolume knobtotherightto
adjustthehoursortothelefttoadjusttheminutes.
Theclockwilldisplay12-hourAM/PMtimeinUSAfrequency
spacingmode(PM10:00).InEuropeanfrequencyspacing
mode,theclockwilldisplay24-hourtime(22:00).
PressandholdAUDIO/MENUformorethan3secondsto
accessthesetupmenu.PressAUDIO/MENUmomentarily
toselectbetweenthemenufunctionsandrotatethevolume
knobleft/righttoadjustoractivatethedesiredfunction.

deviceintotheMXD105'sUSBport.
ToplayMP3/WMA/WAVfilesfromanSDcard,insertanSD
cardintotheSDcardslotwiththelabelfacingleft.Itwill
clickintoplacewhenproperlyinserted.Toremovethecard,
pressinuntilitclicks,thenpulltoremove.
WhenaUSBdeviceisfirstconnected,“LOAD”willappearin
thedisplayandplaybackwillbeginmomentarily.Depending
onthenumberoffilesandfolders,itmaytakeseveral
secondsforthedevicetobeginplaying.IfnovalidMP3/
