product for future reference.
BEFORE USE
You must inspect the product for any signs of damage. If the product is
damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier immediately.
INSTALLATION
Remove the mounting bracket from the loudspeaker, and, using it as a
template, mark the positions of the three fixing holes. Drill three holes, and fit a
wallplug in each hole. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using
woodscrews and washers. Re-attach the loudspeaker to the bracket.
Connect the loudspeaker to a 100 Volt line amplifier.
Install a junction box adjacent to the loudspeaker bracket. If installing the
loudspeaker outdoors, the junction box must have an appropriate IP rating.
The connections to a 100 V loudspeaker are considered “live” so must be
insulated to the same standard as mains terminals.
Choose the appropriate connection (either 15 W or 7.5 W) according to the
volume required from each particular loudspeaker. Use a higher power in noisy
workshops, or a lower power in quieter offices.
The amplifier is connected to the loudspeakers using a 2-core cable.
For a maximum power of 15 W, connect the white and black wires to the
amplifier output (white to positive). Make no connection to the green wire.
For a maximum power of 7.5 W, connect the green and black wires to the
amplifier output (green to positive). Make no connection to the white wire.
Connect only two wires. The third wire must be insulated so that it cannot be
touched, or touch either of the other two wires as dangerous voltages will be
present on it. The easiest way to do this is to use a three-pole terminal block.
Any number of loudspeakers may be connected to the amplifier, provided that
the maximum rated power of the amplifier is not exceeded. For each
loudspeaker connected, determine the maximum power (by looking at which
wires are connected), and add up all these figures. The total must not exceed
the rated power of the amplifier.
