The Refrigerant R32 Gas

• The warnings and cauons described below both contain important informaon regarding safety. Be sure to observe all warnings without fail.

WARNING

• Install the air condioner on a foundaon strong enough to withstand the weight of the unit. A foundaon of insucient strength may result in

the equipment falling and causing injury.

• The used refrigerant is the uoride R32. This is a non pollung refrigerant that does not harm the ozonosphere. Its inuence on the greenhouse

eect is also lower.

• According to Internaonal Standards ISO 817:2014 R32 is rated as A2L—Lower toxicity (A), and lower risk of ammability (2L)

• R32 Gas is a lower ammability refrigerant with a maximum burning velocity of <10cm/s according to Internaonal Standards ISO 5149

• R32 Gas will not combust unless three condions, in specic quanes or with sucient energy are met: 1) Refrigerant concentraon (14 to

31volume % - 0,3 to 0,6kg/m3 2) Constant oxygen 3) An ignion source (30 to 100mJ [stac electricity 1,25mJ)

• R32 has got very good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy eciency. The units therefore requires less gas

to operate.

• If the refrigerant R32 gas leaks during installaon, venlate the area immediately. Toxic gas may be produced if the refrigerant comes into con-

tact with re or an ignion source.

• Aer compleng installaon, check for refrigerant gas leakage. Toxic gas may be produced if the refrigerant gas R32 leaks into the room and

comes into contact with a source of re or ignion source.

• When installing or relocang the air condioner, be sure to bleed the refrigerant circuit or piping to ensure it is free of air, and use only the speci-

ed refrigerant (R32). The presence of air or other foreign maer in the refrigerant circuit or piping causes abnormal pressure rise, which may

result in equipment damage and even injury.

• During installaon, aach the refrigerant piping securely before running the compressor. If the refrigerant pipes are not aached and the stop

valve is open when the compressor is run, air will be sucked in, causing abnormal pressure in the refrigeraon cycle, which may result in equip-

ment damage and even injury

• All the work men who are engaging in the refrigeraon system should bear the valid cercaon awarded by the authoritave organisaon and

the qualicaon for dealing with the refrigeraon system recognised by this industry. If it needs any other technician to maintain and repair the

air condioner, they should be supervised by the person who bears the qualicaon for using the ammable refrigerant.

• While not in use the air condioner must be stored in a room without connuously operang ignion sources (e.g. open ames, an operang gas

appliance or and an electric heater). Under no circumstances should this air condioner be stored in a server room or any other similar environ-

ment.

• The temperature of refrigerant circuit will be high, please keep the inter-unit wire away from copper pipes that are not thermally insulated

• Do no use means to accelerate the defrosng process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• Never touch the refrigerant piping or compressor without wearing gloves to avoid scald or frostbite.

Installaon Notes

• The air condioner is not allowed to be used in a room that has a running re (Such as re source, working coal gas

ware, operang heater, server room etc)

• The air condioner must be installed in a room that is larger than the minimum room area. ( See table below)

• A leak test must be conducted aer installaon is complete.

BS PLUG WIRING

Wiring Instrucons: Should it be necessary to change the plug, please note the wires in the

mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following codes:

BLUE - NEUTRAL

BROWN – LIVE

GREEN AND YELLOW - EARTH

In the event that the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond

with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

1. The BLUE wire is NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the

leer N or coloured BLACK.

2. The BROWN wire is LIVE and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the leer

L or coloured RED.

3. The GREEN/YELLOW is EARTH and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the

leer E or or coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.

4. Always ensure that the cord grip is posioned and fastened correctly.

If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be ed with a 13A fuse. If in doubt consult a

qualied electrician.

environments and is not for outdoor use. It must be used only as a domesc appliance. EcoAir

cannot be held liable for damage resulng from incorrect or improper use or operaon

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauons should always be followed:

1. Do not operate the appliance if there is a damaged cord , plug or aer it malfuncons if it has been

dropped or damaged in any way. Arrange for the appliance to be examined or repaired by an au-

thorised technician.

2. Always keep the appliance in an upright posion to avoid any damage. Place the appliance on an

even level surface during operaon.

3. Ensure the household voltage matches the rated specicaon for the appliance before use.

4. Operate this appliance in an ambient temperature between 16°C and 35°C.

5. Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked or covered. Do not insert ngers or any ob-

jects into the air inlet or outlet openings.

6. Do not place the unit too close to curtains or any other objects, keep minimum distance of 50cm.

7. Never place anything on top of the appliance and do not cover while in use.

8. To protect against electric shocks, do not immerse or spray the appliance or any of its parts in wa-

ter.

9. Never unplug the power cord without switching OFF the appliance rst.

10. Always unplug the appliance when not in use or when moving locaon. To disconnect the appli-

ance from the power supply, grip the plug and pull from the power socket. Never pull by the cord.

11. Always empty the internal water tank before storing the appliance away.

12. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used in the presence of children and pets.

13. Do not run power cord under carpeng, or cover with rugs or runners. Arrange the cord away

from areas where it may become a trip hazard.

14. Never operate or store the appliance in direct sunlight.

15. Repairs must be carried out by an authorised technician, failure to do so may cause damage to the

appliance or injury to persons or property and will void the warranty. Always insist on original

spare parts.

16. Do not connect via an extension lead or Mul-socket plug. Extension leads and Mul-socket plugs

do not guarantee the required safety of the appliance (e.g. danger of overheang).

17. Do not use the appliance without the air lter. Clean or replace the air lter regularly.

18. Do not leave the appliance unaended in connuous drainage over a long period of me.

19. At the end of its working life dispose of the appliance responsibly, in accordance with local regula-

ons.

20. Before cleaning or maintaining the appliance, please turn o the power and pull out the power

plug.

INSTALLATION OF DRAINAGE

STEP 1. Remove the rubber plug from the boom

drainage port.

STEP 2. Aach the drain hose pipe clamp to the back pan-

el of the appliance near the boom drainage port with the

screw provided.

STEP 3. Aach one end of the drainage pipe to the

drainage port with the pipe clip.

Make sure the hose is fully inserted into the drainage

port.

Put the rubber plug into the other side of drainage

pipe, x it with pipe clip and then x it into the drain-

age pipe clamp.

INSTALLATION

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE FROM MIDDLE DRAINAGE PORT

Water can be automacally emped from the middle drainage port with a 14mm inner diameter

hose (Not included in the package) which can be ordered from our website:

INSTALLATION OF CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE

STEP 1. Remove the connuous drainage cap by turn-

ing it counter clockwise then remove the rubber plug

form the middle drainage port.

STEP 2. Screw the drain connector to the drainage port by

turning clockwise.

STEP 3. Insert the drainage hose (14mm) into the

drainage connector.

Make sure the drainage hose goes downward from

the middle drainage port.

The end of the drainage hose should not be outside

when temperature is below 1°C.

NOTE: When using connuous drainage opon;

 Place the appliance on a level surface

 Make sure the connuous drainage hose is clear of any

obstrucons.

 The drainage hose should be placed downwards from

the drainage ports.

 Do not bend or kink the drainage hose.

 Two or more people are required to move and install the appliance.

 Failure to do so may result in back or other injuries.

 The appliance shall be installed in accordance with naonal wiring regulaons.

 The appliance is for indoor use only, but should not be installed in a high humidity area (i.e.

laundry room or wet room).

 Place the appliance on a smooth level oor that is strong enough to support the unit.

 Allow at least 50cm of air space on all sides of the appliance for good venlaon.

 Place the appliance in an area where the temperature will not fall below 16°C. Otherwise the

coils will be covered with frost at temperatures below 16°C and this may reduce performance.

Note:

The appliance has castors for easy movement.

by the power cord. See Fig 1.

 Insert the discharge pipe through the hole.

 Seal the gap between the wall and the discharge

 Open the window and place the discharge pipe between the window frame and the window.

 Seal the gap with a foam (not supplied) to prevent the hot air coming back into the room.

In order to improve cooling eciency, make sure the discharge pipe is as short and straight as possi-

ble.

Do not joint any other discharge pipe to the original pipe.

DRAIN WATER FROM BOTTOM DRAINAGE PORT

During cooling mode, the appliance requires water drainage from the boom drainage port. This

will be indicated as an "H8" error. (see troubleshoong on page 18)

1. Remove the drainage pipe from the drainage pipe clamp and release the excess water by remov-

ing the rubber plug.

2. Drain the water out completely and the appliance should resume operaon. Secure the plug and

hose back into posion.

3. Drain water completely before storage to avoid internal odours and mould.

QUICK SET UP

Display Screen

Set buons

 Aer switching ON, the appliance will respond with a beep sound. Aer that, you can operate

the appliance with the control panel or remote control.

 Under ON status, when pressing any buon on control panel, the appliance will give out a

sound. Meanwhile, corresponding indicator light on control panel will be on.

 Under OFF status, there is no display on the control panel.

 Under ON status, the set temperature will show on the display control panel only in cooling

mode.

 For any other modes, the display will not show the temperature.

Press the ON/OFF buon to switch on and o.

MODE BUTTON

Press this buon to select :

COOL: When cooling Mode indicator is on, the appliance will operate in cooling mode. Display shows

the set temperature.

DRY: When drying Mode indicator is on, the display shows nothing. Appliance will operate at low

speed only.

FAN: When fan mode indicator is on, the display shows nothing. The appliance only blows out ambi-

ent temperature air.

Under cooling mode, press "+" or "-" buon to increase or decrease set temperature by 1 °C.

Set temperature range is between 16°C - 30°C. Under auto, drying or fan mode, this buon is

invalid.

These fan speeds can be selected in cooling and fan modes only.

 Press this buon to set mer. To adjust mer, press set buons.

 Timer can be set for up to 24 hours.

 Wait 5 seconds aer seng the me, for the display to show the set temperature.

 During the mer seng, make sure there is no more than 5 seconds delay between sets, other-

wise the remote control will cancel seng status.

 To cancel set mer, press mer buon twice.

Note: Select the mode before you select the mer.

The mer can be set for:

 While the appliance is ON, the mer can be set to switch o aer your set me.

 While the appliance is OFF, the mer can be set to switch on aer your set me.

Press " WiFi " buon to the WiFi funcon on or o. When the WiFi funcon is turned on, the " WiFi "

icon will be displayed on remote controller;

 During the operaon, point the remote control towards the appliance not more than 6 meters

away.

 Make sure there is no obstacles between the remote control and the appliance.

 Remote control signal may be interfered within the room where there is wireless telephone,

uorescent lamp.

 When appliance is not in use for a long me, please remove baeries.

QUICK SET UP

 You can operate the air condioner via the remote control aer turning on the Air Condioner

using the power buon on the device itself.

 Whilst using the remote, ensure you are posioned close enough to the device. The signal

icon on the remote control will ash once, you will also hear a “Beep” sound from unit it-

self. This indicates that a signal has been sent to the air condioner.

 Whilst the remote controller is “OFF”, the display screen on the remote control displays the set

temperature. Whilst the remote controller is “ON” the display screen on the remote control will

display the current sengs that the air condioning unit is currently set to.

Note:

Press this buon to turn the air condioner on or o. Note that the indoor unit will also make a

sound to conrm this status.

ON/OFF Buon

Press this buon to select your required operaon mode.

• Auto Mode -The air condioner will operate automacally according to the ambient tempera-

ture in the room. The temperature cannot be adjusted or displayed in this mode. Press the

“FAN” buon to adjust the fan speed.

• Cool Mode - When the indicator on the remote shows " your unit will be on Cool Mode. You

can press the " " or " " buon to adjust or set the temperature. Press the “FAN” buon to

adjust the fan speed.

• Dry Mode - The air condioner will begin to operate at a low speed. The dry indicator " "

will show on the remote controller. In dry mode, the fan speed cannot be adjusted.

• Fan Mode - The air condioner operates solely in this mode. All mode indicators on the in-

door unit will show OFF, however the operaon indicator will show ON. Pressing the "FAN"

buon can adjust fan speed.

• Heat Mode – Heat Mode is not applicable on this unit

QUICK SET UP

This buon is used for seng Fan Speed from AUTO to , to , to , then back to Auto.

Note:

 In AUTO mode fan speed will alternate between Low, Medium or High based on your ambient

temperature

 In Dry mode, only Low fan speed can be selected.

 X-FAN Funcon: Hold fan speed buon for 2 seconds in COOL or DRY mode, the icon “ “ is

displayed and the indoor fan will connue operaon for a few minutes in order to dry the in-

door unit even though you have turned o the unit. X-FAN is not available in AUTO, FAN or

HEAT mode. This funcon indicates that moisture on the evaporator of the indoor unit will be

expelled aer the unit is stopped to avoid mold.

 Having set X-FAN funcon on: Aer turning o the unit by pressing ON/OFF buon indoor

fan will connue running for a few minutes. at low speed. In this period, Hold fan speed

buon for 2s to stop indoor fan directly.

 Having set X-FAN funcon o: Aer turning o the unit by pressing ON/OFF buon, the

complete unit will be o directly.

X-FAN | Buon

X-FAN funcon: In COOL or DRY mode, the icon is displayed and the indoor fan will connue

operaon for 2 minutes in order to dry the indoor unit even though you have turned o the unit.

X-FAN is not available in AUTO, FAN or HEAT mode.

funcon: turn on the display's light and press this buon again to turn o the display's light.

If the light is turned on, is displayed. If the light is turned o, disappears.

Press " WiFi " buon to the WiFi funcon on or o. When the WiFi funcon is turned on, the "

WiFi " icon will be displayed on remote controller;

WiFi Buon

Press this buon to achieve the on and o of healthy and scavenging funcons in operaon sta-

tus. Press this buon for the rst me to start scavenging funcon; LCD display “ “. Press the

buon for the second me to start healthy and scavenging funcons simultaneously; LCD display

“ “ and “ “. Press this buon for the third me to quit healthy funcon; LCD Display

“ “. Press this buon again to repeat the operaon above. (This funcon is applicable to par-

al of models).

Note: Scavenging funcon is not available, only some models have healthy funcon

QUICK SET UP

Sleep

Under Cool or Heat mode, press this buon to turn on the Sleep funcon. In Sleep Mode the pre-

set temperature will increase by 2 degrees (Cool Mode) or decrease by 2 degrees (Heat Mode)

aer 2hours from seng. Press this buon again to cancel the Sleep funcon.

* Under Fan Dry and Auto modes, this funcon is unavailable.

Temp

Press this buon to see the indoor set temperature, indoor ambient temperature on the indoor

unit’s display. The seng on remote controller is selected circularly as below:

• When selecng the " " the display will show the set temperature. This will be displayed

on both the indoor unit and the remote control.

• When selecng the " " the display will show the ambient indoor temperature. This will

be displayed on both the indoor unit and the remote control.

• When selecng the " " the display will show the outdoor temperature. This will be dis-

played on both the indoor unit and the remote control.

Note:

Outdoor temperature display is not available for some models. At that me, indoor unit receives

" " signal, while it displays indoor set temperature.

Turbo

Press this buon to acvate / deacvate the Turbo funcon which enables the unit to reach the preset temperature

in the shortest me. In COOL mode, the unit will blow strong cooling air at super high fan speed. In HEAT mode, the

unit will blow strong heang air at super high fan speed.

Timer on

Press this buon to iniate the auto-ON mer. To cancel the auto-mer program simply press this buon again.

Aer pressing this buon, disappears and "ON" blinks. 00:00 is displayed for ON me seng. Within 5 seconds,

press the or buon to adjust the me value. You can adjust the me up or down in minutes. Holding down

either buon rapidly changes the me adjustment rate from 1 minute to 10 minutes. Within seconds aer seng,

press TIMER ON buon to conrm.

Timer o

Press this buon to iniate the auto-o mer. To cancel the auto-mer program, simply press the buon again.

Clock

Press CLOCK buon and this icon will start blinking. Within 5 seconds press the + or - buon to adjust the pre-

sent me. Holding down either or buon above 2 seconds increases or decreases the CLOCK me by 1 mi-

nute every 0.5 second and then by 10 minutes every 0.5 second. Press CLOCK buon again to conrm the seng,

and then will be constantly displayed.

REPLACING BATTERIES

1. Gently pull clip back on the baery cover to

remove.

2. Replace two (AAA 1.5V) dry baeries and

make sure the posions of plus and minus

poles are correct.

3. Re-aach the cover of baery box.

Hold the horizontal louvres and move up or

down for your comfort.

AIR FLOW DIRECTIONS

VERTICAL DIRECTION

Hold the vercal louvres and move le or

right.

NOTE: Do not close the air ow completely.
