Silent in operation, the miniBar fulfils high quality stan ar s an guarantees
an efficient use of resources an energy uring its entire working life, i.e.
uring manufacturing, use an isposal.
Please stu y the installation an operating instructions carefully before
attempting to operate the miniBar.

Warnings and Safety Advice
In the interests of children's safety:
When isposing of the refrigerator, remove all oors an leave the
shelves insi e. This prevents chil ren from being acci entally trappe or
suffocate in the refrigerator.
Never open the cooling unit - it is un er high pressure.
Never store explosive substances, such as lighter fuel, petrol, ether or
similar pro ucts in the miniBar.
The miniBar must be installe in such a way that acci ental contact with
the cooling unit (which heats up when in use) is impossible.
The appliance has to be connecte to a properly earthe socket in line
with the relevant vali country regulations.
Servicing must only be carrie out by authorise service personnel.
Coolants
Ammonia is use as the coolant. This is a natural compoun which is also
present in common househol cleaners (1 litre of salmiac cleaner contains
up to 200g of ammonia - this is roughly ouble the amount containe in the
cooling unit).
If a leak occurs (which can be easily etecte ue to the unpleasant smell):
Switch the evice off (pull mains plug, if applicable);
Ventilate room thoroughly.
Inform hotel personnel.
For the safety of hotel guests an personnel, it has been establishe by
inspectors that the coolant poses no threat to health.

INSTALLATION
The Purpose of this Manual
The manual shows you how to:
install the miniBar correctly.
operate the miniBar correctly.
guarantee the miniBar´s correct maintenance an functioning.
eal with faults by yourself.
Tools / Materials Required
You will nee the following tools for initial operation:
Unpacking
Check uring unpacking that the evice is efect-free.
Report transport amage to the transport company within 48 hours.
Check that the voltage note on the mo el label correspon s to the
mains voltage.
Depending on the model, the following parts can be found in the
miniBar :
Cleaning
Before operating the miniBar, we recommen you clean it both insi e an
outsi e.
Use a soft cloth, lukewarm water an a mil etergent.
Following this, wash out the miniBar using clean water an ry
thoroughly.
At annual intervals, remove ust from fri ge aggregate using a brush or
soft cloth.
WARNING:
To prevent material amage:
Do not use soap or etergents which are harsh, coarse or
which contain so a.
Keep the oor seal free from oil an grease.
The cylin er locks have been lubricate in the factory to be long-lasting.

Installation
The following illustrations (A,B,C,D) show four ifferent ways for installing
the miniBar.
1 = ventilation grid
2 = air going in
3 = air coming out
Note: The ventilation gri s (1) must have a clear cross section of at least
200cm2.
Warning:
Please take great care to observe the following points in or er to
guarantee an optimal cooling performance an low energy consumption:
Do not place the miniBar irectly besi e a heat source an o not
expose it to irect sunlight.
An unobstructe air circulation through the cooling aggregate must be
ensure .
The ventilation gri must not be covere , for example, by ornaments or
items of clothing.
The miniBar must always be mounte horizontally.

Connecting the Device to the lectricity Supply
The evice must be connecte to a properly earthe socket in line with
the relevant vali country regulations.
Check prior to initial operation that the voltage
note on the mo el label correspon s to the
mains voltage.
If this is not the case, o not connect the
evice an contact your ealer!
Attention: For GB Only !
Plug connection (for United Kingdom only)
If a 3-pin plug is use , it shoul be fitte with a 3 amp fuse,
with other plug types, the circuit shoul contain a 5 amp fuse.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
IMPORTENT
The wires in the mains lea of this appliance
are coloure in accor ance with the following
co e:
GREEN an YELLOW : EARTH
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lea
may not correspon with the coloure markings
i entifying the terminals in your plug, procee as
follows.
1. Connect the GREEN an YELLOW coloure
wire to the plug terminal marke letter or earth symbol or coloure
green or green an yellow.
2. Connect the BROWN coloure wire to the plug terminal marke letter L
or coloure re .
3. Connect the BLUE coloure wire to the plug terminal marke letter Nor
coloure black.
Moulded-On Plug Version
The mains lea is fitte with a non-rewirable moul e -on plug con-
taining a 3 amp fuse. If the fuse requires replacing at any time, the fuse
cover/carrier shoul be remove using a small screw river to level out. The
ol fuse shoul be replace by a 3 amp ASTA approve BS1362 fuse an
the fuse cover/carrier must be refitte before the plug is use again.
If the fuse cover-carrier is lost, a replaceement can be obtaine from the
Electrolux service Shops.
The fuse cover/carrier must be of the same colour as that of the coloure
insert in the base of the plug. In no circumstances must the plug be use
without a correct fuse cover/carrier fitte .

If the plug supplie on the mains lea is not suitable for the socket in your
home, it shoul be cut off an ispose of safely, or estroye , to avoi any
possible shock hazar resulting from the plug being inserte into a 13 amp
socket elswhere in the use. A suitable replacement plug shoul then be
fitte as given above.

Initial Operation
The evice must be plugge into a properly
earthe socket.
The miniBar achieves its operating
temperature after several hours.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Temperature Control
The miniBar is fitte with an electronic
temperature control. The thermostat control
button is situate in the internal containers
rear area. (RH 355LD, RH 356LD: the
thermostat button is situate in the
unrefrigerate compartment).
Automatic Defrost Function
The first efrosting phase commences 15 hours after the initial operation
(5.1) an lasts for two hours.
After this, the evice operates for 22 hours at a time, followe by a
efrosting perio of 2 hours .
The ice layer must never be remove using
force, nor must the efrosting process ever
be accelerate using a heater.

The miniBar operates silently !

Making the ice takes approximately 2-4 hours at an average ambient
temperature of 25°C.
For Figure 3: In all miniBars, the ice tray (A) must be put on the left han
si e of the vaporiser plate (B). An exception is mo el RH356. In this
mo el, the ice tray must be place on the right han si e of the vaporiser
plate.

Automatic Door Control (ADC)
The following escriptions only apply to evices with ADC.
1. Open the miniBar, check its contents an - if applicable- stock it up
again.
2. Close the miniBar.
4. Remove ADC key.
Automatic Door Control (electrical)
When the miniBar is opene , a magnetically operate approximation switch
locate un erneath on the fri ge is activate (FIG 1.)
Depen ing on the connection (opening/closing mechanism), an electric
circuit is close or opene . Accor ingly, this is registere an processe at
the hotel reception. Note: Electrical rating!

Interior Light
RH356LD / LD
Mo el RH356LD is fitte with low voltage lighting.
When the oor is opene , the light in the cooling shelf is switche on
via a sensor.
The light in the uncoole storage shelf is switche on manually by
means of a switch integrate into the lamp.

miniBars manufacture by Electrolux Siegen are free from
CFCs an fluorinate hy rocarbons.
The cooling unit uses ammonia as the coolant (a natural compoun of
hy rogen an nitrogen). Cyclopentane, which oes not amage the ozone
layer, is use as propellant for the insulation ma e from PU-foam.
Disposal
In or er to ensure the re-use of recyclable packaging materials, these must
be ispose of using local collection systems. The evice itself must be
han e over to a isposal company or local council which will guarantee
the correct use of recyclable materials an the proper isposal of the rest.

At an average room temperature of approx. 22°C, it is sufficient to
operate the miniBar with an average thermostat setting.
If possible, always store pre-coole goo s.
Do not expose the miniBar to irect sunlight an o not place it close
to a source of heat.
An unobstructe air circulation in the fri ge aggregate must be
ensure .
When removing goo s, only open the miniBar briefly.
Switch on the miniBar approx. 12 hours prior to stocking.
