SHORT CORD PURPOSE
Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used: (1) the marked electrical rating of
the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should be
arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped
over by children or pets.
POLARIZED PLUG
If this appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other), please follow the below instructions:
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to t
into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to t the
plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug
still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Never use the
plug with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully
inserted into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug of the
product or any extension cord being used with this product.
Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized
plug.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packing material and, if applicable, any stickers
from the product; remove and save literature.
• Wash all removable parts and/or accessories as instructed
in CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
• Select dry, level location where unit is to be used, leaving
enough space between back of unit and wall to allow heat
to ow without damage to cabinets and walls.
• Slide the drip tray into the center slot at the bottom of the
appliance.
• Close the lid.
• Unwind the cord and plug it into a standard electrical
outlet. The power indicator light will turn on.
• Allow to preheat 3-5 minutes. When the temperature is
reached, the ready light will turn on.
HOW TO USE
USING THE FLOATING HINGE POSITION:
The oating hinge position is used for preparing Panini and
other grilled sandwiches. It can also be used for grilling. In this
position the grilling plate rests on top of the food.
NOTE:
The light will turn on
and off during use
as the temperature
is maintained; this is
normal.
When correctly
placed, the drip tray
will extend out the
back of the appliance.
Make sure it extends
properly out the back
to catch any dripping.

Aerosol cooking spray
should not be used on
the nonstick surface.
The chemicals that
allow the spray to
come out of the can
build up on the
surface of the plates
and reduce their
efciency.
HINT:
You can use light
pressure on the
handle to press and
heat the food to your
liking. DO NOT use
heavy pressure on the
lid at any time.
1. Prepare your Panini as the appliance heats up.
2. Using a pot holder, carefully open the lid.
3. Before rst use, if desired, lightly oil the plates.
4. Carefully place foods to be cooked on the bottom plate.
IMPORTANT: Do not overload the cooking plate.
5. Close the lid with the lid closing directly onto the food.
6. Allow food to cook for the desired time.
IMPORTANT: Do not leave the appliance unattended.
7. After the desired time, the food should be done. If you
would prefer longer cooking, simply follow the steps
beginning at Step 4.
8. Using an oven mitt, carefully open the lid.
9. Remove food using a nylon coated spatula.
IMPORTANT: Always use heatproof plastic, silicone or wood
utensils to avoid scratching the nonstick surface of the plates.
NEVER use metal skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
10. Unplug to turn the appliance off.
IMPORTANT: Panini plates continue to be on and hot until
the appliance is unplugged.
11. Allow drip tray to cool completely before removing. Wash
and dry the drip tray after each use.

HOW TO USE (cont.)
USING THE ADJUSTABLE ANGLE:
If you are using your Panini Maker as a grill, you can use the
adjustable angle feet at the front of the grill to angle the
cooking surface. This allows fat and grease to drain away from
food while it cooks.
1. To use the adjustable angle, simply press on the front of
the feet on either side under the front of the grill.
2. This will ip the feet over so the extended part of each is
out and the cooking surface slopes toward the back. Make
sure the feet are set rmly in the slope position before
starting to grill.
IMPORTANT: Always ensure the drip tray is in place to allow
grease and other liquids to drain properly when using the
slope.
USING THE OPEN COOKING SURFACE
1. Raise the lid by handle until it stops.
2. Press the hinge release button on the bottom right side of
the handles and lower the lid until the cooking surface is
fully opened.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service
to qualied service personnel.
1. Place drip tray into drip tray slot as directed. Use a plastic
spatula to scrape off any excess fat and food particles left
on the cooking plates; runoff will drip into the drip tray.
IMPORTANT: Do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool
or any abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill; use
only nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing pads.
2. Remove the drip tray, empty and wash in warm, soapy
water or the dishwasher (top-rack only); dry thoroughly
with a paper towel or cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not immerse body of appliance in water or
any other liquid.
NOTE:
To remove stubborn
buildup, use a nylon
or nonmetallic
scrubbing pad to
clean the grill plates.
CAUTION:
To avoid accidental
burns, allow appliance
to cool thoroughly
before cleaning.

1. Your small kitchen appliance is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from any
manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions for one (1) year, cord excluded.
This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
2. Retail stores/merchants selling this product do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any
way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
3. If you use your appliance for household use and according to instructions, it should give
you years of satisfactory service.
4. At its sole discretion, Maxi-Matic USA will either repair or replace the product found to be
defective during the warranty period.
5. The repaired or replacement product will be in warranty for the remaining balance of the
one-year warranty period and an additional one-month period.
6. Consumer’s remorse is not an acceptable reason to return a product to our Service Center.
7. This limited warranty covers appliances purchased and used within the 50 U.S. states plus
the District of Columbia and does NOT cover normal wear of parts or:
- Damages caused by unreasonable use, neglect, normal wear and tear, commercial
use, improper assembly or installation of product.
- Damages caused in shipping.
- Damages caused by replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.
- Defects other than manufacturing defects.
- Breakage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, lack of proper care
and maintenance, or incorrect current or voltage.
- Lost or missing parts of the product. Parts will need to be purchased separately.
- Damages of parts that are not electrical; i.e. cracked or broken plastic/glass,
scratched/dented inner pots.
- Damage from service or repair by unauthorized personnel.
- Extended warranties purchased via a separate company or reseller.
- Acts of nature such as re, oods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
8. This warranty does not apply to re-manufactured merchandise.
Maxi-Matic, USA shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the
breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited by applicable law,
any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular purpose is limited in time to
the duration of the warranty.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
RETURNS:
A. Any return of defective merchandise to the manufacturer must be
processed accordingly by rst contacting customer service (support@
maxi-matic.com) to obtain an RA # (Return Authorization Number).
We will not accept any returns of merchandise without an applicable RA #.
B. IMPORTANT RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. Your Warranty depends on your
following these instructions if you are returning the unit to Maxi-Matic,
USA:
1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable
box with sufcient cushioning to avoid damage in shipping.
2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
a) Your name, full address with zip code, daytime tele
phone number, and RA#,
b) A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
c) The model number of the unit and the problem you
are having (Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to
the unit before the box is sealed,) and
d) Any parts or accessories related to the problem.
3. Maxi-Matic, USA recommends that you ship the package via UPS
ground service for tracking purposes. We cannot assume
responsibility for lost or damaged products returned to us
during incoming shipment. For your protection, always carefully
package the product for shipment and insure it with the carrier.
C.O.D shipments cannot be accepted.
4. All return shipping charges must be prepaid by you.
5. Once your return has been received by our warehouse, Maxi-Matic,
USA will repair or replace the product if it is defective in material or
workmanship, subject to the conditions in paragraph B.
6. Maxi-Matic will pay the shipping charges to ship the repaired or
replacement product back to you.

EL USO DE UN CORDÓN CORTO
1. Para reducir el riesgo de daños personales, como un tropezón o enredarse con

2. Una extensión eléctrica más larga podrá ser utilizada, siempre y cuando tome
extremas precauciones durante su uso.
3. Si una extensión eléctrica más larga va a ser utilizada, tenga muy en cuenta las

eléctrico a utilizar deberá de ser igual o de más amperaje que el

ENCHÚFE POLARIZADO
Si este aparato es suministrado con un cordón eléctrico de enchufe polarizado (un
lado del enchufe es más ancho que el otro) favor de seguir las siguientes
recomendaciones.

COMO USAR
PRIMEROS PASOS
1. Retire todo el material de empaque y cualquier etiqueta
que tenga el producto; retire y guarde el material de
lectura.
2. Lave las piezas removibles y/o los accesorios según las
instrucciones de CUIDADO y LIMPIEZA.
3. Seleccione un lugar seco, nivelado, sobre una
supercie resistente al calor donde va a utilizar la unidad.
Deje suciente espacio entre la parte de atrás de la unidad
y las paredes para permitir que el calor uya sin causar
daños a los gabinetes y a las paredes.
BANDEJA DE GOTEO
Deslice la bandeja de goteo en la ranura del centro de la parte
inferior del aparato.
Importante: Al colocar la bandeja de goteo correctamente, ésta
llegará hasta la parte de atrás del aparato. Asegúrese de que se
extienda hasta la parte de atrás de forma correcta para que el
goteo caiga dentro.
PARA PRECALENTAR
NOTA:
La luz se encenderá
y apagará durante el
uso del aparato en lo
que éste mantiene la
temperatura; esto es
normal.
1. Cierre la tapa.
2. Desenrolle el cable y enchúfelo a un tomacorriente
estándar. La luz indicadora de funcionamiento se
encenderá.
3. Permita que el aparato se precaliente de 3 a 5 minutos.
Una vez que alcance la temperatura deseada, la luz que
indica que la unidad está lista se encenderá.
USO DE LA POSICIÓN CON BISAGRA FLOTANTE
Consejo: La posición con la bisagra otante se utiliza para
preparar Panini y otros sandwiches prensados. También puede
usarse para asar. En esta posición la placa de asar descansa
sobre los alimentos.
1. Prepare sus panini en lo que el aparato se calienta.
2. Con una agarradera, abra la tapa cuidadosamente.
3. Antes del primer uso, si lo desea, ligeramente úntele aceite
a las placas.
4. Cuidadosamente, coloque los alimentos que va a cocinar
sobre la placa inferior. Importante: No sobrellene la placa
de cocción.
5. Cierre la tapa de forma que descanse directamente sobre
los alimentos.
6. Permita que los alimentos se cocinen por el tiempo
deseado. Si gusta, puede utilizar un reloj automático de
cocina.IMPORTANTE: No deje el aparato desatendido durante
su uso.IMPORTANTE: No aplique presión fuerte sobre el asa
en ningún momento.
NOTA:
Los atomizadores
para cocinar no se
deben utilizar sobre
la supercie antiad-
herente. Los químicos
que permiten que
salga el atomizador
puede acumularse
sobre la supercie de
las placas y reducir su
eciencia.

7. No limpie la unidad hasta que se haya enfriado por
completo. Luego de transcurrido el tiempo deseado los
alimentos deben estar listos. Si usted preere cocinarlos
durante más tiempo, simplemente siga los pasos
anteriores, comenzando por el número 4.
8. Cuidadosamente, abra la tapa con una agarradera.
9. Retire los alimentos usando una espátula que tenga una
capa de nailon protectora.
IMPORTANTE: Utilice siempre utensilios plásticos, de silicona
o madera, resistentes al calor para evitar rayar la supercie
antiadherente de las placas. Nunca use pinchos, pinzas,
tenedores, ni cuchillos de metal.
10. Desenchufe el aparato.
IMPORTANTE: Las placas permanecerán encendidas y
calientes hasta que se desenchufe el aparato.
11. Permita que la bandeja de goteo se enfrie por completo
antes de retirarla. Lave y seque la bandeja de goteo luego
de cada uso.
NOTA:
Siempre asegúrese
de que la bandeja de
goteo esté en su sitio
para que la grasa y los
líquidos se escurran
correctamente al usar
la posición inclinada.
USO DEL ÁNGULO AJUSTABLE
Si está utilizando su máquina de panini como parrilla, puede
usar los pies angulares al frente de la parrilla para colocar la
supercie de cocción en ángulo. Esto permite que la grasa y el
aceite se escurran de los alimentos mientras se cocinan.
1. Para usar el ángulo ajustable, simplemente levante la
parte inferior frontal de la máquina y luego empuje la
parte de atrás de cada pie hacia delante.
2. De esta forma logrará voltear los pies de forma que salga
la parte extendida de cada uno y la supercie de cocción
se incline hacia atrás.
3. Asegurese de que los pies descansen rmemente en la

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA
Este aparato no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.

LIMPIEZA
1. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en su ranura. Use una
espátula plástica para raspar cualquier exceso de grasa o
particulas de comida que queden sobre las placas de
cocción; los residuos caeran en la bandeja de goteo.
IMPORTANTE: No use esponja de metal, ni almohadillas de
aluminio, ni limpiadores abrasivos para limpiar ninguna
parte de su aparato; use solo esponja de nailon.
2. Retire la bandeja de goteo, vacíela y lávela en agua tibia y
jabón o en la máquina de lavaplatos (en el compartimiento
de arriba solamente); séquela bien con un papel toalla o un
paño.
3. Para limpiar las placas, puede pasarles una esponja
húmeda en agua tibia y séquelas con un paño suave y
seco.
IMPORTANTE: No sumerja el cuerpo del aparato en agua o
ningún otro líquido.
NOTA:
Para retirar cualquier
acumulación de
comida dícil, use
una esponja de nailon
no metálico para
limpiar las placas de la
parrilla.

6. Esta garantía limitada cubre los aparatos comprados y usados en los 50 estados
contiguos y el Distrito de Columbia, y no cubre:
-Los daños causados por el uso excesivo, negligencia, uso y desgaste normal, uso
comercial, montaje o instalación incorrecta del producto.
-Los daños causados durante el envío.
-Los daños causados por la sustitución o reposición de fusibles o disyuntores.
-Defectos que no sean defectos de fabricación.
-Rotura causada por mal uso, abuso, accidente, alteración, falta de cuidado y man
tenimiento, o incorrecta de corriente o voltaje.
-Pérdida o falta alguna pieza del producto. Las piezas se deben comprar por
separado.
-Daños de piezas que no sean eléctricos; por ejemplo: agrietado o roto de plástico o
de vidrio.
-Daños por servicio o reparación por personal no autorizado.
-Las garantías extendidas compradas a través de una empresa independiente o
revendedor.
-Remordimiento del consumidor no es una razón aceptable para devolver un
producto a nuestro Centro de Servicio.

Esta garantía es válida sólo si el producto es comprado y operado en los EE.UU., el uso del

INSTRUCCIONES DE DEVOLUCIÓN
DEVOLUCIONES:
A. Cualquier devolución de mercancía defectuosa al fabricante deben ser procesados
apropiadamente contactando primero al servicio al cliente (información de contacto se
muestra a continuación) para obtener un # RA (Número de autorización de devolución).
No se aceptará ninguna devolución de mercancía sin un # RA aplicable.
B. INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE RETORNO. Su garantía depende que usted siga estas
instrucciones si va a devolver la unidad a Maxi-Matic EE.UU.:
1. Empaque cuidadosamente el producto en su caja original o en otra caja adecua
da para evitar daños durante el envío.
2. Antes del envío de la devolución unidad, asegúrese de adjuntar:
a) Su nombre, dirección completa con código postal, número de teléfono
durante el día, y #RA
b) Un recibo de compra fechado o COMPROBANTE DE COMPRA,
c) El número de modelo de la unidad y el problema que tiene (Encierre en un
sobre y pegue directamente a la unidad antes de sellar la caja) y
d) Todas las piezas o accesorios relacionados con el problema.
3. Maxi-Matic EE.UU. recomienda enviar el paquete de servicio terrestre de UPS para
nes de seguimiento. No podemos asumir la responsabilidad por productos
perdidos o dañados devueltos a nosotros durante el transporte entrante. Para su
protección, siempre cuidadosamente empaquetar el producto para su envío y
asegurarlo con la compañía. Envíos C.O.D no puede ser aceptado.
4. Todos los gastos de envío de devolución debe ser pagado por usted.
5. Una vez que su devolución ha sido recibida por nuestro almacén, Maxi-Matic
EE.UU. se compromete a reparar o sustituir el producto si presenta defectos de
materiales o mano de obra, sujeto a las condiciones del apartado B.
6. Maxi-Matic pagará los gastos de envío para enviar el producto reparado o
reemplazado de nuevo a usted.
