isidealforcontrolswithlimitedalarm output
power.The ELK-45’sremovable “U” shaped
mountingbracket makes installation quick and
simple.It’ssmall and compact size allowsitto be
placedinvents,atticeavesandsoffits,andother
uniquelocations where largeandbulkyunits will

Instructions ELK-45
1. MounttheU shaped bracket to the wall.
2. InsertoneofthetwoshortboltsintoeachsideoftheU shaped bracket with the threads protruding
out.
3. Aligntheheadsofthebolts with the slotted openings on each side of thesirenhousing.
4. Slidethesirenonto the bolt heads. Install a washer and nut on each bolt and tighten.
5. ConnectBlackwiretoNeg(-)ofalarmoutput.
6. ConnectRedwiretoPos(+) of alarm output.
NOTE: Sirenisfactory set for maximum loudness with acurrentdraw of about 1.2Amps. Tolower
thecurrent draw and volume, removethefourscrewsandcover from the back. Follow theRed
speaker wire to where it solders to the circuit board. Cut this Red wire approx. 3" back from the
board. Splice the Redwirefromthespeakerto the unusedYellowwireon the circuit board using the
enclosedwire nut.
TheELK-45isdesignedfor Single OutputAlarmControls that use a STEADYOutputforBURG or a
PULSINGOutput for FIRE. For anAlarmControl panel that has separateBURG and FIRE alarm
outputsconnecttheRed wire to each output,thenprogramone output for Steady(Burg)andtheother
forPulsing(Fire).ConnecttheBlackwire to Neg.
