Explanation
<MEANING OF ILLUSTRATED SYMBOLS>
Illustrated Symbols
Various symbols are used in this safety manual in order to use the unit without danger of
injury and damage of the unit. A list of problems caused by ignoring the warnings and
improper handling is divided as shown below. Be sure that you understand the warnings and
cautions in this manual before operating the unit.
Meaning of Symbols
This symbol indicates items that urge the warning (including the caution).
A detailed warning message is shown adjacent to the symbol.
This symbol indicates items that are strictly prohibited.
A detailed message is shown adjacent to the symbol with specific actions not to
perform.
This symbol indicates items that should be always performed.
A detailed message with instruction is shown adjacent to the symbol.

Fundamental Matters of “WARNING!” and “CAUTION!”
WARNING!
Do not use this unit in an area where there is flammable or
explosive gas
Never use this unit in an area where there is flammable or explosive gas.
This unit is not explosion-proof. An arc may be generated when the power switch
is turned on or off, and fire/explosion may result.
Always ground this unit
Always ground this unit on the power equipment side in order to avoid electrical
shock due to a power surge.
If a problem occurs
If smoke or strange odor should come out of this unit for some reason, turn off
the power switch right away. Immediately contact a service technician for
inspection. If this procedure is not followed, fire or electrical shock may result.
Never perform repair work yourself, since it is dangerous not recommended.
Do not use the power cable if it is bundled or tangled

it can overheat and fire may be caused.

Requirements for Installation
WARNING!
1. Always ground this unit
Connect the power plug to a receptacle grounded.
Do not forget to ground this unit, to protect you and the unit from electrical shock in case of
power surge. Choose a receptacle with grounding connectors as often as possible.
Do not connect the grounding wire to a gas pipe, or by means of a lightning rod or telephone
line. A fire or electrical shock will occur.
2. Choose a proper place for installation
Do not install this unit in a place where:
Rough or dirty surface.
Flammable gas or corrosive gas is generated.
There is direct sunlight.
There is excessive humidity and dust.
There is constant vibration.
3. Do not modify
Modification of this unit is strictly prohibited. This could cause a failure.
4. Installation on horizontal surface
Set this unit to the flattest place.
CAUTION!
5. Use a correct power receptacle
Use a correct power receptacle that meets the unit’s rated electric capacity.
Electric capacity:
ECOSmart : 100 – 240 VAC, 50/60Hz, 150W(Max)

1.2 Place for installation
Carefully unpack Main unit from the shipping carton, install it on the stable place.
CAUTION!
Carefully carry Main unit, contact the sales agency if unit has been dropped.
When it uses as it is, fire or electric shock and the cause of the trouble may be
caused.
Carry it carefully not to hurt a waist and so on because this device has about 13kg.
Install it to the place where the front door can open fully.
Do not hang weight and do not put the heavy thing on the turn table when the front door opens.
Unit may become fall down or break.
CAUTION!
Install this unit after deciding the place to install and read “Requirements for Installation” in
“Cautions in Using with Safety” section properly.
1.3 Move the unit
CAUTION!
Remove pad holders and close the front door when unit moves.
When unit moves with pad holders set, front door may not open by pad holder’s dropping inside the
unit.
If the front door does not open, do not open it forcefully and don’t disassemble, contact the sales
agency.

ST Display LED
Display ST (repair process) number (“1”-“5”).
When indicating pad usage counter, it displays
ST number (“1.”-“5.”) on the left side, and the
third digit of the counter on the right side.
TIME Display LED
Display the second and the first digits of
pad usage counter, repair setting time and
remaining time.
Repair Start Button
Choose the button on accordance with the
repair process. The number is accord with the
repair process number.
Press button 1-5 (1-4 in case repair process 5),
repair process is finished.
During the repair process 5,
repair time is extended by pressing ST5 button.
STOP Button
Repair process now going on stops by
pressing the button, front door opens after
initialization completely.

When indicating pad usage counter, it displays ST number (“1.”-“5.”) on the left side, and the third digit
of the counter on the right side.

5. How to use
5.1 Preparation before operation
1. Prepare two bucket for supply and drain.
2. Make mix polish water in the supply bucket with water and “Polish Water” (option).
CAUTION!
<Mixture ratio>
“Water” 1 liter : “Polish Water” 5 milliliter
Quality of disc repair is not assured with another ratio.
3. Drain pipe has to be connected to exit.
4. Put the supply and drain pipe in the each bucket

5.2 Power on and off
1. Put power cable securely to AC inlet where it is on backside of unit
2. Connect power plug to receptacle securely.
CAUTION!
Receptacle has to be grounded!
2. Turn ON the main power switch.
3. Initialization starts automatically. (LED display ST=”88”, TIME=”88”)
4. Front door opens after initialization is completed. (LED display ST=”0”, TIME=”0”)

5.3 Operation process for repairing disc
1. Operate the water pump to fill with exit.
Check the condition of supply and drain pipe again.
1) Turn ON the main power switch.
2) Press and hold “ST5” button and “STOP” button with opening the front door.
Water pump starts operation.
3) Stop the pump operation after confirmation the water comes out from the exit.
Operate of water pump is stopped by pushing “STOP” button or “ST1-5”.
CAUTION!
Not filling the water in water supply pipe may be damaged on the disc and pads.
Moreover it may become the cause of error.
2. Set the disc on the turn table. Set the disc so that repair side becomes the top absolutely.

3. Set the pad to be sure it within the pad holder properly as shown in the illustration.
Push a pad lightly after putting the pad to the pad holder.
CAUTION!
Use the same color of pad and pad holder.
Wrong setting of the pad may cause very bad quality of disc.
4. Set the pad holder in right position to “Pad holder Plate” of main unit.

Notes about repair

Use the pad in order of large the number.
CAUTION!
Pad 5 is not suit for repair DVD.
Repair disc repeatedly using Pad 5, disc may be damaged.
5. Close the front door after confirmation the disc set properly on the turn table.
CAUTION!
Repairing with no disc, the face of turn table gets damaged.
Bad condition of turn table causes bad quality of disc.
Make contact with sales agency about the exchange of turn table.
6. Press the start button, repair process starts (Check again the number of Pad before press the
start button).
Extend 3 times of set up time, push button 5 during repair process 5 (Repair time becomes
double by pressing it once and becomes triple by pressing it twice.)Use this function to repair
the disc it has heavy scratches.

For process 1 :pay attention following things
1) Push “ST1” button washing in water process start first. ST LED ”1” (“1.” during displaying
pad usage counter) blink during this process.
2) The front door opens automatically after finishing of process has been done (after the
front door opens, the display is blinking).
3) Leave the pad and disc, put one-drop compound on the disc. Use a compound after
shaking the bottle well before the use.
4) The repair process starts automatically after closing the front door (ST LED blink stops,
no need to press the start button again).
5) After repairing, perform the following operations to start process 1 again.
・Push “ST1” button with opening the front door open (“1.” and pad usage counter
are displayed on ST and TIME LED, and ”1.” start to blink).
・Set the disc to turn table, put one-drop compound on the disc.
・Close the front door (Water process is skipped).
7. The front door opens automatically after finishing of process has been done.
8. Follow the operation process from 4, exchanging pad.
