SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Before operating the controller Enco Control (hereinafter device), please read this technical
description and user's manual thoroughly and follow their instructions. You must observe all
instructions for use that are enclosed with other components of system.
Caution: If this equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the
protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
Enco Control device is a limited access area unit (It is intended for installation in
the cabinet). The device complies with safety class II with an additional
grounding. Power supply from 230 V AC. The device is used to control power
circuits up to 230 V.
It is necessary to follow general safety requirements during installation and
maintenance process. To eliminate risk, only qualified technical personnel may
install and maintain devices (certificates for electrical installation work with
equipment up to 1000 V are required). Personnel must be familiar with
appropriate technical documentation and general safety instructions.
Before changing, repairing, connecting or disconnecting system parts is
required: (the switch is built-in the same cabinet as the
controller);
(electromagnetic actuators, pumps, actuators, etc.);
to make sure that they are not powered.
Protection of circuits of external battery is provided by fuse RXE185, 50V, 1.8A.
Controller does not protect external circuits of circulation pumps and valve
actuators. It is necessary to use additional protection circuits to protect
circulation pumps and valve actuators against over current.
Use only the battery specified in the manufacturer's instructions. Using other
types of batteries may result in a fire or explosion hazard.
It is recommended use the instructions and recommendations of the battery
manufacturer when installing or replacing batteries.
When the controller operating in the system, all devices of system for which it is
provided (required), must be connected to the protective earth, regardless of
their location in the system.
To protect power circuits against over current, short-circuit or fault of
grounding of primary circuit in the building installation must be installed
automatic protective device - 2-pole circuit breaker (distance between contacts
must be = 3 mm).
Only approved qualified technical personnel may install and maintain the device.
Installation and maintenance carry out not qualified personnel is strictly
forbidden.
The device must be installed in a locked area with restricted access - in the
electric cabinet, protection class IP65, in the horizontal position on DIN rail

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Packed equipment may be transported in any type of covered vehicle. Equipment
should be anchored reliably to avoid shock and possibility to shift inside vehicle.
Transportation temperature from -25 Cto +55 C, relative humidity up to 95 at +25
Cand atmospheric pressure of 84 kPa up to 106,7 kPa.
Equipment should be protected against mechanical damage and shock.
Equipment should be stored in dry, heated premises, where environment temperature
is not lower than +5 co. No aggressive chemical substances should be stored together
because of corrosion hazard.
SWITCHING ON/OFF
Switch on the power (Fig. 1). The device is ready for operation.
Device status indicates LED1 (Fig. 2): Power is on - the LED1 lights up and blinking,
power is off LED1 is not lit.
The device switches off with the automatic switch (2-pole circuit breaker).
Automatic switch should be installed close to device and so that it was easily available
to service personnel.

Application field
Universal controller Enco Control (hereinafter Device) is designed as controller for process
control in district heating / hot water and ventilation systems. Also as data collection device for
remote meter reading and their subsequent storage in the internal memory, analysis and
transmission to the central data acquisition system.
Functions
Data registration
Device performs:
Monitoring of all recorded data or registering selected data or variables
Selecting of the frequency (period) archiving (from 1s)
Archiving of parameters technological process and variables in the heating system
every 5 minutes to 7 days
Sending of message, if parameter value exceeds the limits (up to 32 selected
parameters).
Meter reading
The controller can read all meters that support MBUS protocol. Reading is performed Wild
addresses. There is a possibility to read out only one meter, without using
algorithm. Meter reading data is decoded and selected parameters are saved to the archive
(only those parameters are saved in the archive that are selected by the user). Meter reading
frequency is freely selectable.

There is possibility to setup parameters, download archive files, and update the software
remotely.
The selected system messages are sent to the user remotely:
- Power supply Off / On;
- Changing of Software (updating);
- Changing of the state of the logic inputs (high / low level);
The device should be mounted in the cabinet on a DIN rail, in horizontal position. Protection
class of cabinet must be IP65 (Figure 20, Figure 21).
The necessary switches must be provided during the installation (distance between switches
contacts must be = 3 mm.) With which you can turn off the power supply. It is recommended to
establish the device in the same cabinet as the switches for cutting off power supply. The
switches should be adjusted for the power used by the equipment (max. 15VA).
Connection cables must comply with IEC 60227 or IEC 60245 standards. Cross-section of
cable is calculated by the allowable continuous current load.
Caution: If this equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the
protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
